        허영자 시 연구

        Poet, Huh, Young-ja, started her career of writing poems through 「The Modern Literature」 in 1962. From that time on, she has consolidated her writing career of 40 years by publishing 7 collections of poems. The 7 books have maintained even levels and consistent themes and methods so that they show the distinct quality of her own, which places her as one of the important poets of this country. This thesis divide the contents and methods Huh, Young-ja has relied on under four heads of 1. fierceness of disciplining the subject, 2. the ecstasy and sympathy in life, 3. the projection of the cognizance for the real, and 4. the dynamic imagination and manifestation of being. The items of No.1, 2, and 3 deal with the aspects of the contents and 4 those of methods. The approach taken by this thesis is based upon the fact that above-mentioned qualities are almost constitutional to Huh, Young-ja Therefore-instead of dividing the phases of the poet's poetic history, this thesis focuses on grasping the consistent world of the poet's consciousness represented in her whole texts. This type of analysis is encouraged by the theory of the Genevan School that says the in-depth reading of many collected peers of a poet shows that it has just one voice and the individual text is not an autonomous entity but a piece of the writer's literary experiences. This thesis is proceeded under the premise that the total poetic world of a poet can be exposed, when a piece of poetry has the dialogical relations with his or her other poems.

        김종길 시의 방법과 주제

        The method and thema in the poetry written by Kim, Jong-gil which I suggest in this paper are connected with above-mentioned Imagism, which goes forward Modernism. Because his style of writing poem is investigated within the limits, what is called “Sensibility of spirit.” He stops the space caught his eyes definitely and describes the objects situated there, embodies the scenery arranged by them sensually. Stopped space and precise outline of the objects positioned within there make a confused sense of person recover sufficiently. At this point, sonorous style of his poem already works out a scheme. I think, somewhat, the spirit of his poem stands aloof from all of the changeable mutability and looks up a steady peak continuously. From the first collection of his poems, “Christmas Festival(『聖誕祭』)” to “The year became even shorter(『해가 많이 짧아졌다』)”published in 2004, he concentrates the silence of spirit, and then focuses on a sensational description of silence. And he continues to publish ‘the poems which get rid of extra flesh’ according to the expression by Kim, Choon-su. So, I didn't consider the year of writing poems and bound the poetry in six volumes into only one and then summarized the characteristics of the text. Through becoming sensible a target the way of tracing of the spirit presents,<br/> 1. “A sensational description of silence.” The way of grasping concreteness of a target keeping a distance from it presents, 2. “Esthetic distance and concreteness.”<br/> And the main idea and the landscape of mind tracing these methods focuses, 3. “Flatness and a disinterested attitude,” 4. “The spirit of endurance and dignity.”<br/> The method and thema of the poems I divide going through his poetry, in fact, are entrusted with organic condition intimately. The skill of poem he describes is because he analyzes the discipline for life thoroughly and then reveals the order into silence. Through solving the silence between lines and explaining the main idea, I just try to approach closely to the world of poetry by Kim, Jong-gil in this paper.<br/>

        재미 한인 청소년의 약물사용과 관련된 위험요인과 보호요인에 관한 연구

        The subjects for this study consisted of 301 Korean-American students in grades 6 to 12. Findings of this study showed that most of the risk factors in all domains demonstrated a strong relationship to the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other illicit drugs. In the community domain the most common risk factor was laws favorable toward drug use(60.2%); this risk factor increased the odds of substance use by approximately 3 times. The protective factor, opportunity for positive involvement in school domain reported by 82% of the sample decreased the probability of substance use by 3 times. The percentage of students resilient on all protective factors in the family domain was much lower than that of protective factors in other domains. The strongest predictors of substance use were shown in the peer-individual domain.

        한국문학과 로컬리즘 이성교 시의 장소성(Placeness) 구현과 특성

        Generally speaking, the topography of Korean modern poetry in the 1950`s consists of the traditional lyricism and modernism. Lee, SungKyo took part in the important part of the former, especially focusing on forming and expressing the locality of Kangwon province through its own specific emotions. There are so many evidences in the writings on the history of korean modern poetry, which regard him as one of the backbone of the lyricism of 1950`s with Lee, DongJu and Park, JaeSam, succeeding Seo, JungJu and Park, MolWol. In this article, I try to connect the local color of his poetry with ``Placeness``. Placeness means, in the short run, the meaning of a place, which maybe revealed through the vivid experiences of people living in that place. Therefore we can insist that placeness shows itself through the consciousness experiencing the peculiarities of the place. In this article, I focus on the consciousness and method of realizing it of the poectic subject, through which I am able to reveal the subject`s positive view, sublimation of his native place and inclination for the world of sympathy and peace. These inclinations come to high poetic configuration through vivid descriptive verisimilitude on local habits and scenery. In this view, I am able to find out preciousness of Lee, SungKyo`s poetry expecially in these days when all of this nation is encroached with Placelessness in the name of development.

        자유주제 : 김광림 시의 이미지 조성과 지향성 연구 -초기시를 중심으로-

        김광림 시인은 1948년부터 시작생활에 임해 오늘에 이르기까지 18권의 시집을 상재하고 있다. 한국현대시사에서 이미지스트로 명명되며 평단의 주목을 받아온 그는 현재 이 땅의 주요 원로시인으로 자리하고 있다. 알려진 대로 그의 전 작품이 이미지즘의 성격을 드러내는 것은 아니다. 본고에서 대상으로 하고 있는 초기의 『심상의 밝은 그림자』(1962), 『오전의 투망』(1965), 『학의 추락』(1965) 이후 그의 시편들은 현실적인 삶의 곤고함 쪽으로 서술의 방향을 전환했기 때문이다. 이에 그의 시사적인 위치를 공고하게 잡아준 이미지 위주의 시편들을 분석, 탐구하여 이미지스트로서의 진면목을 살피고자 했다. 그 결과 반복되는 모티프인 ``햇살`` 과 ``소리`` 이미지 조성을 통해 각각 존재의 발현, 경외감의 환기라는 주제의식을 파악하고 공감각적 이미지저리에 주목하여 여기서 시사되는 화음의 의미에 닿을 수 있었다. 본고는 시편들에 나타난 대상의 이미지가 조성되는 면모와 발현되는 의미에 주목하기 위하여 ``이미지 현상학``을 원용, 논의를 전개하였다. 이 글은 이미지스트로서의 김광림 시편들을 분석 탐구하여 그의 시적 성과를 살핌과 동시에 정지용, 김광균, 박남수에 이어지는 한국현대시의 이미지즘 계보를 마련하려는 의도를 또한 갖는다. Kim Kwang Rim, having published 18 books of poetry since 1948, becomes a major senior poets. He has been regarded an imagist and received wide attention as such in the history of Korean poetry, However, it isn`t that all of his poems shows the imagist aspects. Lots of his poems in and after The Light Shadow in the Mind(1962), Casting a Net in the Morning(1965), A Crane`s Fall(1965) have turned to realistic destitution in people`s everyday life. In this research, I try to analyze and find out the characteristics of his imagist poems, which contribute to make him to be the important imagist poet. Through the repeated motif of ``sunlight`` and ``sound`` images, I am able to recognize his theme of the emergence of the being and through observing the images of synesthesia in those poems, I can approach the meaning of chords in his poems. In addition, I have another purpose in this research. That is to prepare a genealogy of imagism in the modern poetry of Korea, tracing to Jung Ji Yong, Kim Kwang Kyun, and Park Nam Soo.
