Polymer complexes via hydrogen bonding were isloated as precipitates in fiber forms during mixing of aqueous solution of poly (D-glutamic acid) (PGA) and Poly(acryl amide) (PAAM). The structure of the fibrous preciptitates was observed by the scanning electron micrograh (SEM) and by the polarized micrograph.
타이어 패턴의 종그루브 인자에 따른 그루브 원더링 및 소음 특성 연구

Water on a road surface can lower the coefficient of friction of vehicle tires and it involves lots of risks. One way to prevent water from staying is to cut many “rain grooves” into the edges of the pavement parallel. Such grooves, however, can exert unwanted side forces, particularly on passenger tires, which cause “Groove Wander” making the drivers uncomfortable. The “Groove Wander” is somewhat related to vehicle geometry, but is more strongly related to interaction between road grooves and tire tread's longitudinal grooves. This thesis tries to examine principles to estimate “Groove Wandering” effect focusing on the design of longitudinal groove. Additionally, it studied how to reduce pipe resonance longitudinal grooves form in the contact patch.

폐 타이어로부터 상온분쇄법으로 제조된 가황고무 분말을 SBK(styrenebutadiene copolvmer) 고무조성물에 첨가하여 고무의 흐름 특성. 균열 특성, 마모 특성, 기계적 성질 등을 조사하였다. 가황고무 분말의 입자 크기 및 사용량이 이들 특성들에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 원래는 입자 크기 분포가 넓은 분말들을 입자 크기별로 분리하여 첨가하였다. 인장 강도는 페고무분말의 첨가량과 입자 크기에 따라 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 균열성장속도는 폐고무분말의 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 감소하였으며, 입자 크기가 증가함에 따라 증가하였다.마모된 표면으로 부터 측정된 패턴 간격은 각각의 고무조성물들의 Modulus 또는 마모 속도와 좋은 상관관계를 보여주었다.
열가소성 고무를 사용한 Rubber Sheet의 제조 및 물성

환경에 유해한 PVC 재질의 바닥재나 시트를 대체하기 위하여 styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene(SEBS)과 같은 열가소성고무를 사용하고 polypropylene(PP) 등의 폴리머와 오일, 무기물 및 안정제 등을 혼합하여 내충격성 또는 탄성이 우수한 새로운 소재를 개발하기 위한 컴파운딩 연구를 진행하였다. SEBS와 오일의 혼합물에서 경도는 오일의 함량이 증가함에 따라서 선형적으로 감소하였고, SEBS/oil/PP의 조성물에서는 PP의 함량이 증가하면 인장강도는 선형적으로 증가하는 반면, 신율은 PP가 50phr이상에서는 거의 영향이 없었다. PVC 소재의 바닥재나 시트를 대체 사용하기 위한 실질적인 SEBS 혼합물의 조성물에서도 인장 및 인열강도, 그리고 경도는 PP 함량에 비례하여 증가하는 것으로 나타났으나, 용융지수는 PP함량이 증가하면 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. Compounding, using such thermoplastic elastomer as styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene(SEBS) blended with polypropylene(PP), oil, and other ingredients, was studied to develop a new material with excellent impact resistance and resilience for the replacement of environmentally toxic PVC sheet. Hardness decreased linearly with oil content in the SEBS/oil blend, and the tensile strength increased with PP content whereas elongation showed no effects over 50 phr of PP in SEBS/oil/PP blend. In the practical SEBS composition, proposed to replace the PVC sheet material, tensile and tear strength, as well as hardness, increased proportionally with PP content, while melt index decreased.
타이어 다목적 최적설계를 위한 근사모델 생성에 관한 연구

Tire’s performance plays important roles in improving vehicle’s performances. Tire makers carry out a lot of research to improve tire’s performance. They are making effort to meet multi purposes using various optimization methods. Recently, the tire makers perform the shape optimization using approximation models, which are surrogate models obtained by statistical method. Generally, the reason why we increase sampling points during optimization process, is to get more reliable approximation models, but the more we adopt sampling points, the more we need time to test. So it is important to select approximation model and proper number of sampling points to balance between reliability and time consuming. In this research, we studied to compare two kind cases for a approximation construction. First, we compare RSM and Kriging which are Curve Fitting Method and Interpolation Method, respectively. Second, we construct approximation models using three different number of sampling points. And then, we recommend proper approximation model and orthogonal array adopt tire’s design optimization.

It was analyzed the relationship between the bead profile and tire performance using passenger and light truck tires. At this time, test tires have the same size and load index by manufactured in the ten tire brand. And it was measuring the contact pressure of bead section under the different inflation pressure conditions. Also, spring rate test was proceeded to get the spring constant of test tires. As a result, rim flange and bead hill are proportional to the inflation pressure. But bead seat is not influenced by inflation pressure. In case of passenger, lateral and longitudinal spring constant are influenced by the contact pressure of bead section. But in case of light truck, these are not influenced by the contact pressure of bead section.
