The relaxation of stress concentration in notched members can be very significant in the improvement of notched strength and fatigue life. This paper investigated the relationship of stress concentration factor, and notched strength and fatigue life. The stress concentration factors were analyzed by FEM. Uniaxial tensile and fatigue tests were carried on plain woven composite specimens which have a main hole and two defence holes. From experimental results, the notched strength and the fatigue limit increased up to about 50% and 30% respectively due to the reduction in stress concentration. The fatigue lives predicted by Juvinall's approach were underestimated than test results and this trends were remarkable as nothed strength increased. This is because of the underestimation of a coefficient. A in S-N curve (.sigma.$_{ar}$ =A $N_{f}$ $^{B}$). Therefore, considering notched strength the coefficient A was modified. The fatigue lives by this process were agreed well with the experimental results.sults.

It is well known that the ESC (electronic stability control) system plays an important role in vehicle safety. In general, the structural integrity of ESC system should be assured over 10 years. This is because the fatigue life evaluation for ESC system under service loading is required. The purpose of this study is to find an appropriate condition of structural damping coefficient for frequency response analysis and to evaluate the fatigue life of a bracket for ESC assembly by using modal superposition method. To verify the results from fatigue analysis, an experiment was conducted under the same condition as numerical simulation, and their results were compared.

Transfer Path Analysis (TPA) is commonly used, by car makers and parts suppliers, analysis process to root the cause of NVH problems. In general, TPA is an analyzing technique to find the contributing factors of noise/vibration problems, and their transfer path in vehicle. However, not only TPA is used to analyze the source of NVH problems but also is used to predict NVH performance prior to the proto vehicle, or to set the development target for next new vehicle. Automotive parts manufacturing companies have to set NVH performance target when developing new systems just as car makers have NVH target set for new vehicle. Nevertheless, most of components are currently being developed based on subjective evaluation without an objective target. To judge the suitability of using TPA to set NVH target of electric parking brake, this research analyzed the transfer path by setting them in two points of view; Chassis Module and Electric Parking Brake, and comparing the measured value and calculated value. From this result, NVH target of electric parking brake will be approached in level of vehicle, system and component.
교육용 소프트웨어 개발에 적합한 하이퍼미디어 시스템에 관한 연구

This paper presents a back-end system of hypermedia authoring system for courseware development. For the design, repersentative hypertext reference models, the Dexter model and the HAM(Hypertext Abstract Machine) which belongs to Campbell & Goodman model were analyzed. Based on those models, data objects, attributes, and operations of back-end system were designed and implemented. Because the application area of this system is on computer based education, the path mechanism is enforced for the various educational strategies. In order to reduce the user disorientation and cognitive overheads in navigating hypernetwork, filtering, backtracking and history mechanism were implemented.
