This article was examined that the behavior of which they select hair equipment and a product may be significantly influenced by an interest in appearance during adolescence. This study was presented that according to gender, a girl student has higher confidence in appearance than a boy student, and also the higher the confidence in the girl`s appearance, and they use more hair products. Moreover, the boy students are higher in than a girl student in the rate of dependence on hair equipment, so the boy students intend to use hair equipment. Therefore, this study was presented that the gender and an interest in appearance is important variables which influence to hair fashion of adolescence on an equipment and a product during presenting a hair-style, an interest in appearance of adolescence significantly influences on explaining the degree of hair equipment and leverage products as well.

The purpose of this research is to identify the differences in appearance satisfaction,self-esteem and the feeling of happiness according to the demographic variables of teenagers. The conclusion of this research indicate that appearance satisfaction has significant impacts on the self-esteem and the feelings of happiness for adolescence. Teenage students who attend vocational schools get more Allowances than students who attend general high schools, and those who have parents with lower education level also get more Allowances. But the higher the economic standard and grades the students have,the more self-esteem and the feelings of happiness they possess. Thus, the students who attend general high schools have higher self-esteems and feelings of happiness than those in vocational schools. Additionally, the students who have higher economic standards and parents with better`- education levels show more appearance satisfactions for their face, skin and body. Therefore, the level of appearance satisfaction according to the types of school, economic standards, amount of Allowances and parents` education level is an important variable, which can also affect the self-esteem and the feelings of happiness. Teenagers` appearance satisfaction have a significant impact for determining the level of self-esteem and the feeling of happiness.
청소년의 인구통계적 특성 및 스트레스, 외모관리행동이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향

This study aimed to examine the effects of demographic variables, stress, appearance management behavior, and family environment on self-esteem with the subjects of high school students with serious stress and great interest in appearance among the adolescences. This research was conducted during June, 2012, and the research method employed was the questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of the contents about self-esteem, stress, appearance management behavior, and demographical variables. Regarding the adolescents` stress, generally, influential variables include relationship with parents and friends, school records, or school life satisfaction. And the adolescences` self-esteem was the crucial variable to indicated socio-psychological adaptation. And it was related with stress or appearance management behavior.
인구통계적 특성에 따른 선호 헤어스타일 및 헤어추구이미지와의 관계: 미용실 방문객을 중심으로

The purpose of this study was to find out the difference between preferred hairstyle and pursued-image of hairstyle according to demographic characteristics. The method of this study is a content analysis and survey research using a questionnaire, which consisted of items of pursued-image of hairstyle, preferred hairstyle and demographic characteristics. 450 women were selected as subjects of this study; they were randomly selected from hair salon located in Seoul, Inchon and Bundang. For the material analysis, We used the statistical program of SPSS 12.0; frequencies, factornalysis, one-way ANOVA and Duncan`s multiple range test, T Test and χ2 Test were carried out as the methods of analysis. The research findings were as follows. First, there sults of hairstyles according to the content analysis usually resulted 5 hairstyles, such as cuts and crew cut, bobbed hair, long layered hair styles and nonelayered long hairstyles. Second, under the survey regarding the difference of preferred hairstyle and pursued-image of hairstyle according to demographic characteristics. variety of hairstyles due to the subjects were more willing to try a consciousness about other`s suggestions and how they are portrayed. Moreover a low level of education was related to a attempting a variety of styles, considering their social life. 67Subjects with higher age, education level and salary preferred a glamorous image as well as crew cuts. Which made them look younger. However, when they were younger, they preferred long none layered hair styles. In conclusion, age, average monthly income and education level are important variations affecting the property of change in hairstyles and pursued-image of hairstyles.
연구논문 : 웨딩헤어스타일의 이미지지각과 선호도에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study were to classify the contents of hairstyle for wedding, to examine the preference of hairstyle image according to age, hair partition, and hair cowlick, and to find out the image that can have an effect on the preference of a stimulus. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental research on questionnaire. The experimental design utilized a 4×4×2 dimension which involved the hair point location, hair partition and age. The measurements were completed using various mug shots as stimulus. These mug shots showed different hairstyles of a model with varying hair partitions and bangs. The responses were obtained and were used for this study. The research involved both men and women, 20 years old and above, and who are living in Seoul or nearby areas. Only 197 records of the 200 randomly collected data were used to analyze the materials of this study. The results of this study were as follows. First, five factors of hairstyle for wedding derived by factor analysis : F.1 ``neat features``; F.2 ``urbanity``; F.3 ``uniqueness``; F.4 ``softne``; F.5 ``prettiness``. In conclusion, hair partition and shape were the major variables. The suitable wedding hairstyle depended heavily on the hair partition and shape. This study showed that it was possible to create different hair styles by varying hair partition, and create the desired effect on the situation.

Most of employees in service area frequently and strongly experience job-stress caused by emotional labour than in general. This job-stress is supposed to incur employees` burn-out, which burn-out brings a lower service quality in various aspects of physical and spiritual hospitality. The purpose of this study is to identify the impacts of burn-out on emotional labour of hair designer, with 155 primary data from a sample of 200 employees of hair shop in Seoul and Gyeongnam area. The reliability and validity of the collected data were checked through the calculation of Cronbach`s and factor analysis. The empirical α research made by regression analysis confirms that emotional labour significantly has a negative effect on burn-out of hair designer. Therefore, hypothesis presented to mediate the effect of burn-out on emotional labour of hair designer was supported in positive. Hopefully, this study contributes to hair business shops for setting up a management strategy on effective job-satisfaction of hair designer.
