        양생조건에 따른 섬유보강 시멘트계 복합재료(FRCC)의 균열 자기치유 특성

        양생조건의 차이가 섬유보강 시멘트계 복합재료(FRCC)의 자기치유에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위해, 건습 반복시험 및 옥외 폭로시험을 실시하여 FRCC의 자기치유 효과에 대해 검토했다. 투수계수 및 마이크로스코프에 의한 균열조사에 의해 FRCC의 자기치유 효과에 대해 평가한 결과, 수중에의 침지시간이 길고, 건조온도가 낮은 경우 균열의 자기치유 효과는 큰 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 자기치유에 있어서의 수밀성능은 습윤 시간에 크게 영향을 받는 것을 확인했다. 한편, 실환경 조건에 있어서 강우에 의한 수분 공급에 의해 자기치유는 진전하는 것을 확인했으며, 혼화재료를 적절히 병용하여 사용하는 것으로 균열의 자기치유 성능을 향상할 수 있다고 판단된다. In this study, the self-healing effect of a fiber-reinforced cement composite (FRCC) was examined using a drying-wetting test and an outdoor exposure test. The influence of various curing conditions on the self-healing effect of the FRCC was also investigated. The effect of self-healing was evaluated using a permeability coefficient and by investigating the cracks using a optical microscope. The results confirmed that the FRCC was capable of self-healing under a long wetting time and a low drying temperature. In addition, watertight performance by self-healing was shown to have a significant influence on wetting time. Meanwhile, this self-healing effect was enhanced by hydration as a result of rainfall when the FRCC was put under actual environmental conditions. Moreover, it was determined that cracking self-healing can be improved by using the appropriate admixture materials.

        불교문화유산의 영어 번역 오류

        문화재청의 통계에 따르면 314점의 국보 중에서 172점, 1710점의 보물 중에서 1053점이 불교문화재이다. 불교문화재가 이렇게 많은 이유는 불교가 우리나라에 오랫동안 자리하면서 우리 조상들의 삶에 정신적, 문화적 영향을 깊이 끼쳤기 때문이다. 우리 자신도 우리의 문화유산을 통하여 자긍심을 느낄 수 있고,전통을 계승,발전시킬 수 있을 것이지만, 외국인들도 불교 문화유산을 통하여 한국인의 정신적,문화적 배경을 이해할 수 있을 것이다. 한국불교의 최대 종단을 형성하고 있는 대한불교조계종은 "승가본연의 수행과 정진을 다하고 밖으로는 중생교화에 노력함으로써 부처님이 말씀하신 직지인심,견성성불,전법도생을 위해 끊임없이 노력"하고 있다고 밝히고 있다.이 중에서 전법도생은 쉬운 말로 포교라고 할 수 있다.포교의 대상은 우리나라 사람뿐만 아니라 외국인들도 포함하고 있기 때문에 불교문화유산을 통하여 외국인들이 불교를 쉽게 접할 수 있도록 하는 일이 필요하다. 다시 말하여 불교문화유산의 외국어 번역이 중요하다. 그렇지만 조계종이나 직영사찰 및 교구본사의 홈페이지를 살펴본 결과 조계종에서 밝히고 있는 직영사찰6곳과 교구본사25곳 중에서 영어 홈페이지를 운영하고 있는 곳이 14곳에 불과하다. 조계종의 영어 홈페이지와 직영사찰 두 곳의 영어홈페이지 모두 최상위 메뉴와 차상위 메뉴에서부터 오류가 있었으며 대부분의 교구본사 영어 홈페이지는 무늬만 영어 홈페이지이거나 아니면 템플스테이에 관한 내용뿐이었다. 불교문화재의 경우도 원천텍스트가 잘못된 경우가 많고, 목표텍스트에도 많은 오류가 있었다.국보가3점 있는 법주사의 불교문화재 안내판에서조차 오류를 찾을 수 있었으며 일부 사찰의 불교문화재 안내판은 한글과 영어의 내용이 전혀 달랐다.심한 경우에는 제목에도 오류가 있으며,십여 년 이상이전의 표기법에 따라 제작된 안내판을 그대로 사용하는 곳도 있었다. 주로 국보에 해당되는 불교문화유산을 살펴본 결과가 이러한 것으로 미루어보아 보물이나 사적 또는 지역의 문화재로 등록된 불교문화유산의 번역에는 더욱 많은 오류가 있으리라고 짐작된다. 비록 문화재청의 홈페이지에서 문화유산의 영어 번역을 제공하고 있으나 오류가 무척 많다. 문화유산의 한국어 설명이 한자어에 토대를 두고 있기 때문에 번역자가 원천텍스트를 이해하는데 어려움을 느꼈기 때문인지 모른다. 중요한 것은 오류 자체가 아니라 아무도 오류를 지적하고 바르게 번역하지 않는다는 점이다. 조계종은 한글 안내판을 알기 쉽게 제작하고 이를 영어로 번역할 충분한 인력을 확보하고 있을 것으로 짐작된다. 종단의 목표 중의 하나가 불교를 포교하는 것이므로 불교문화유산을 평범한 한국어로 설명하고, 고상한 영어로 번역해야 할 것이다. 조계종이 종지에서 밝히고 있듯이 전법도생 즉 포교의 대상을 우리나라 사람에게만 한정하는 것이 아니라면 불교문화유산의 바른 번역을 통하여 외국인들이 우리나라의 불교에 대해 바르게 인식할 수 있도록 힘을 쏟아야 할 것이라고 생각된다. According to the statistics of the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea, 172 units among total 314 national treasures and 1053 units among total 1710 treasures of Korea are Buddhist cultural inheritances. This means Buddhism has long been in the lives of our ancestors. The foreigners, therefore, can understand our cultural and spiritual background through the Buddhist cultural inheritances. As the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, the largest Buddhist order in Korea, proclaims to propagate Buddhism to the world, they should have translated the inheritances into foreign languages as a means of propagation of Korean Buddhism. But the homepages of the Jogye Order and almost all of the temples, including the temples under direct management of the Jogye Order and district main temples, seem to make no effort to introduce the Buddhist cultural inheritances to Korean as well as foreigners. The English homepages which the Jogye order itself and major temples shows lots of errors in the highest menus and the highest but one menus. Almost all English signboards of the national treasures in the district main temples have many errors and don`t afford correct information of the Buddhist cultural inheritances. Though the homepage of the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea give some English translation of the inheritances, it contains many errors. As the Korean explanation of the inheritances is based on the Chinese characters, the translator might have difficulty in understanding the source text. There may be lots of excuses the translator might enumerate: the difficulty of the source texts themselves, short of time, little money, etc. What is important is not the errors themselves but the fact that there is no Buddhist who points out the errors and translates the inheritances correctly. I think the Jogye order has enough manpower to explain and translate the inheritances. As one of the aim of the order is to propagate Buddhism, they should explain the cultural inheritances in plain Korean and translate into noble English. Now is the time to make an effort.

        『나 자신의 노래』 에 나타난 삶과 죽음에 대한 견해

        Walt Whitman’s intention, as he said in the preface of Leaves of Grass and Two Rivulets, was to chant the songs of the body and existence in Leaves of Grass and then to compose another volume on the soul. But he didn"t write another volume but rewrote and enlarged Leaves of Grass. Thus, Leaves of Grass became songs of body and soul. Whitman even asserts that he is the poet of the Body and of the Soul. In Song of Myself, he expresses his various thoughts on the body, nature, democracy, and the soul, etc. When he thinks of the body and the soul, he cannot help thinking of death. His thought on death and afterlife is based on the metempsychosis. Death is thought to be not a termination of existence or an entrance to heaven but a stage to go through to be born again. Though all the living existences experience many deaths and many births, their deaths and births are not a separate happening but a phase of a continuous life which appears in different forms and different bodies. The poet himself doesn’t know even the name of the existence in his self which doesn’t die and live everlastingly. But he firmly believes that something that makes metempsychosis possible exists in his self.

        논문 : 『문학과 종교』의 현황과 국내 발행 학술지에서의 인용 정도

        The Korean Society for Literature and Religion was established in 1992. The society accumulated almost fifteen-year experience now. The society began to publish its academic journal three years after the establishment. The first volume of the journal, was published on July, 1995. The second volume on September, 1997 and the third on December, 1998. Since June, 2000, the society publishes its journal biannually. The eighteenth volume was published on the last day of last year. The number of the articles published in each volume varies from 6 to 15. When the journal was first published the many contributors submitted their articles. When the society began to publish its journal biannually, the number of contributors seemed to increase just little by little. The number of the articles shows big difference even last year. The total number of contributors is 85 and the number of articles is 169.44 scholars published their articles only once. 25 scholars published twice and 6 scholars three times. 10 scholars published more than four times. It means that some scholars enlarged and deepened their study. The fact that 51.79% of contributors published only once means that the scholars who are interested in this society and journal are many. We can say, therefore, the society and the journal will keep flourishing. The subject of the articles varies from British literature to Russian literature. Many articles, namely 54 articles, focussed on the analysis of British literary works, most of them on the viewpoint of Christianity. 34 articles dealt with American literary works and 22 articles dealt with Korean literature. 13 articles studied Bible and theology. Several articles deal with their theme on the viewpoint of Buddhism or mysticism. Most of the articles deal with their theme on the viewpoint of Christianity. The citation from the journal itself and other journals published in Korea is not so many. 5 articles cited the author`s own articles published in this journal and 8 articles cited other scholar`s articles published in this journal. 15 articles cited the author`s own articles published in other journals. 34 articles cited other scholar`s articles published in other journals.

        『번역학연구』의 현황과 국내문헌 인용 고찰

        The Korean Association of Translation Studies was established in 1999. The society began to publish its academic journal just after the establishment. The first volume of the journal, The Journal of Translation Studies, was published on June, 2000. The second volume was published on December, 2000. The fourteenth volume was published on the last day of last year. This means the journal was published biannually. The number of the theses published in each volume varies from 8 to 11. But average 8.98 theses were included in a volume. Before the year 2006, most volumes included 8 or 9 theses and the volumes of last year included 11 and 10 theses respectively. This means the Korean Association of Translation Studies keeps strong editing principle and began to increase the number included just a little last year. The total number of contributors to the journal is 67 and the number of theses published is 125. 43 scholars, that is 64% of contributors, contributed only once, and 14 scholars who contributed more than three times, contributed 62 theses. This means a not so large group of scholars are pioneering translation studies in Korea. The subject of the theses varies from general translation theories to the teaching method of translation. Many theses, namely 42 theses, focused on the translation theory, 15 theses studied literature translation, and 13 theses and 12 theses focused on the teaching method of translation and translation technique. The citation from the journal itself and other journals published in Korea is very encouraging. 20% of the contributors' theses in this journal were cited by the contibutor himself/ herself, and more than 50% of other scholars' theses in this journal were cited by other contributors. Though the journal was established only 7 years ago and only fourteenth volume was published, the citation rate is very high. We need not refer to other domestic books, for the citation from domestic books is more than expected. This means translation studies in Korea began to have autogenous power.

        포스트모던 시대의 문학 연구: 다원론적 이론의 적용

        This paper is to examine the using pluralistic literary theory in postmodern age. Most readers assume that great literature was universal and expressed general truths about human life, and that readers required no special knowledge to read a work. However, things began to change now: Readers of literature have been troubled by a seemingly endless series of challenges to the common sense. Therefore literary study must research the text by the pluralistic theories employing not any one method in interpreting a work of art but every method which might prove efficient. In addition to this, literary study must be surveyed the text by the pluralistic theories employing not any one method in interpreting a work of art but every method which might prove efficient. As we know structuralism hit the headlines when Colin MacCabe, who wrote an article according to structuralism in literature, failed to obtain a tenured appointment at Cambridge University in 1980. To know pluralistic literary theories we must understand filiation and affiliation in Edward W. Said’s travelling theory, and ‘context framework’ which involves the circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement or idea about author, reader, language, text, and reading.
