        여행사 종사원의 역할스트레스, 소진, 직장-가정 갈등 및 사회적 지원과의 영향관계 연구

        This study aims to empirically analyze the effectual relationship by deriving antecedent factors(role stress factors) for work-family conflicts(WFC) of service encounter employees who were actually working in travel agents. The previous other research has greatly advanced the understanding of role stress, burn-out and WFC by providing a theoretical framework. But previous research has not investigated the tenants of the framework across various WFC structural relationships between other variables on employee of travel industry. Data obtained from survey of 315 employees who working in the travel agency. In this research, the role conflict has positive effects on emotional exhaustion. And the role overload has positive effect on reduced personal accomplishment. Burn-out factors have positive effect on WFC. Also, the social support factor reduce the work-family conflicts. From the theoretical, I discuss the literature proposal related to how to control the role stress and propose the research framework. From the practical perspective, managers must establish system to reduce the personal role through the changing the working system. And in the personal side, employee make mentor more than one person for their life. Suggestion for other research, researcher will adopt the other variables for reducing work-family conflicts.

      • 여행사간 신뢰와 장기지향성의 관계에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors which forming long-term orientation between travel wholesaler and retailer and to research relationship between trust and long-term orientation in travel service channel system. For the purpose, this study reviewed literatures on the trust, antecedents of trust, and long-term orientation. Data were collected from 257 respondents during 10 days in July, 2007. The results of the regression analysis is as follows. First, trust had positive effects on the long term orientation between wholesaler and retailer. Second, antecedents of trust for wholesaler had positive effects on trust and long-term orientation. Reputation, perceived support, quality of communication and satisfaction with previous exchanges had positive effects on trust Based upon the results of analysis, it is necessary to develop methods for increasing trust for management the travel channel system. Also future researchers have to analyze what other factors affecting the formation of long term orientation.

        여행사 종사원의 상사특성이 조직침묵, 직무만족, 조직몰입에 미치는 영향

        The relationship between employee and his senior is to represent the process of exchange requiring relationship. Yet, in previous researches, when exams the employee silence, there has been little attention paid. Employee silence is pervasive in modern organizations and has become an issue critical to organization management. The purpose of this study is to research reasons of silence in organizations, its effects, results and applications which can minimize or remove silence by explaining silence concept. Other purpose is to measure job employees`` satisfaction. In empirical research, this study examined the effect role of employee silence in the relationship between senior``s traits and employee organizational commitment, as well as the effect of perceived job satisfaction on that relationship and on the effect of acquiescent silence. In this sense, Questionnaires were applied employee which were worked in 10 travel agencies, korea, 400 questionnaires were delivered and 373 of them were taken. The results showed that acquiescent silence mediated the relationship between senior``s traits and organizational commitment. Moreover, the results from the analysis showed that perceived seniors`` trait effect on employee silence and job satisfaction. And employee silence negative effect on organizational commitment. The abusive supervision of senior had negative effects on organizational effectiveness. Implications for managerial practices and suggestions for future research were discussed.

        여행서비스 실패의 심각성과 고객감정반응, 서비스회복 공정성 및 결과와의 영향관계

        The previous other research has greatly advanced the understanding of service failures and recovery by providing a theoretical framework. Previous research has not, however, investigated the tenants of the framework across various service failure situations, specifically under varying levels of the severity of the service failure and customer`s negative emotion in travel service. So, I investigate the main effects of customer`s negative emotion and the severity of service failure with perceived justice on result with the service recovery. In this research has found that interactional justice and distributive justice are critical factors which are influencing customers` future behavioral intention after service recovery. Managers should also consider that customer perceived justice has a significant effect on recovery result. Thus, managers should make every effort to guarantee to the customer a fair complaint handling process and adequate compensation system. In general, the results presented suggest that studies dealing with service failure and recovery should take into account consumers` future attitude toward complaining as a way to improve explanation in the boundary conditions of the investigated effect relationships. Future studies should also investigate how magnitude of service failure affect real consumer complaining behavior, instead of intentions of complaining behavior and classify the service failure severity more variously. Also, new variables as like levels of switching costs should be included.

        Cruise industry is recognized as the best tour for the following reasons: first, travel agencies can gain more profit because cruise tour is relatively expensive; secondly, the cruise tour can contribute to the economic development in a region when the cruise anchors there and the cruise tour has good side effects. Only a few companies, however, have paid attention to the management of the cruise industry, and planning and sale of the cruise tour. Furthermore, people have not done much research on the cruise industry. Therefore I have done this research in order to find efficient ways to develop cruise industry by making a theoretical examination of the cruise industry in Korea and analyzing current management of foreign as well as domestic cruise tour. I have some suggestions to the development of cruise industry. First, we have to develop the technology for constructing ships. Secondly, we have to find out various management techniques. Thirdly, we have to devise tours which fit the situation of Korea. Fourthly, we have to build up basic facilities for wharfs and harbors for cruises to anchor in. Fifthly, there should be much support and cooperation of government and institutions involved. Finally, we have to develop routes and ports which meet desires of foreign and domestic tourists.

        The purpose of this study is to give some important suggestions about employees' empowerment to improve the profit of travel agencies as well as job satisfaction of employees. This paper systematizes the relationship between empowerment of travel agency employees and their satisfaction with their jobs by literature review. Furthermore, this paper analyzes their actual relationship based upon the data of travel agency employees about this matter. The results are as follows. First, employees' empowerment affects their job satisfaction on the whole. Second, some factors of employees' empowerment like meaningfulness, competency, self-determination and influence on others affect work, the relationship between co-workers, salary, the relationship with supervisors, and promotion. Last, meaningfulness and influence on others are more crucial factors in affecting job satisfaction. So the management of travel agencies should have in mind that they have to empower their employees in various ways because employees' empowerment contributes to the improvement of the employees' satisfaction with their job and business achievement of their companies.
