This study aims to illuminate the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of municipal solid waste (MSW) gasifier in an 8 ton/day moving bed downdraft gasifier using pure oxygen as the oxidizer. Gasification technology has emerged as one of the promising technologies in treating the MSW. However, the complexity of the process and high cost associated has made the use of the simulation process before actual plant setup indispensable to save cost and time. 3D commercial code ANSYS was used to predict the CFD analysis results of MSW gasification and to provide some process fundamentals concerning syngas production from MSW gasification. The temperature, velocity, and syngas species contours were obtained from the CFD analysis of MSW gasification and compared with the experimental results. The predicted value of CFD compliments the trend obtained in experimental value indicating the accuracy of the analysis model followed.
이산화탄소와 산화칼슘의 고온 광물탄산화 반응특성에 관한 연구

As a part of CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) technology, mineral carbonation technology (MCT) has receivedresearch attention. Through MCT, CO2 is chemically reacted with calcium- and/or magnesium-containing minerals to form stablecarbonate materials which do not incur any long-term liability or monitoring commitments. Moreover, MCT using industrialbyproducts not only captures CO2 but also stabilizes heavy metal components contained in industrial byproducts. Therefore,interest in MCT research using industrial byproducts has gradually increased, and so it was evaluated as an eco-friendly byproducttreatment method. The aim of this research was the process optimization to find optimum experimental temperatures andreaction types in high-temperature carbonation, which is one of the MCT technologies. All experiments were conducted usingfluidized and fixed-type reactors to obtain optimal reactor. The reaction temperatures were determined to be between 550oCand 750oC, while CO2 and CaO reaction times were controlled by gas flow rates using a mass flow controller.
폐기물의 수출 ·입 절차 중 추적관리시스템 도입에 관한 연구

To prevent inappropriate waste management such as abandoning or illegally dumping exported and imported waste, it is important to establish a monitoring system through using advanced waste management technology. Recent investigations into the illegal disposal of exported and imported waste have resulted in false income and waste disposal reports. Therefore, the intention of this study is to examine the effect of monitoring the entire waste treatment process by using a waste tire management system (WTMS). From the results of drawing technical elements and examining the effect of monitoring, it is considered appropriate to establish a WTMS based on radio-frequency identification (RFID) and global navigation satellite system (GNSS). To minimize of the weaknesses of RFID and GNSS systems in the monitoring, elements such as video recording devices, load cells, and indicators can be combined in a multitude of different ways. Finally, the effect of the introduction is reviewed through evaluation according to the combination of WTMS equipment, and a strategy for WTMS is proposed in consideration of the interworking capability. 없음
산 및 알칼리 용액을 이용한 생활폐기물 소각 비산재로부터의 염소제거

Recently, interest in the recycling of municipal solid waste ash has greatly increased as desires have rose to minimizelandfill waste. However, recycling of fly ash from municipal solid waste is almost impossible due to its high chlorinecontent. Therefore, the possibility of chlorine removal from fly ash using acid and alkaline solutions has been studied inthis work. Sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and sodium hydroxide solutions were used as acid and alkaline solutions. From thiswork it was found in all cases that the removal of chlorine increased with increasing acid and base concentrations. Chlorineremoval also increased by increasing the reaction temperature for a sulfuric acid solution, but the optimal reactiontemperature was needed to maximize chlorine removal in the case of a nitric acid solution. It was also found that sulfuricacid solutions were more effective than nitric acid and sodium hydroxide solutions for the removal of chlorine from fly ash.
50ton/day 이상 Stoker Boiler 연소장애 극복을 위한 CFD 해석연구

현재 국내 도시 생활쓰레기 및 산업쓰레기의 처리 시, 매립지 부족과 침출수 등으로 인한 2차 오염문제로 매립처리 방법은 우리나라에서는 적절치 않다. 하지만 쓰레기의 소각처리의 경우, 소각으로 인한 열작감량이 매우 크고 폐에너지 회수의 장점도 있기에 국내 쓰레기의 처리는 소각에 많이 의존하고 있다. 또한 국내 대체에너지의 목표치가 높아지는 상황에서 폐기물의 대체 에너지가 큰 역할을 해 주어야 한다. 폐기물 고형연료를 연소하는 과정 중에는 여러 문제점이 있는데, 설비의 고온 부식의 영향 및 연소로 내 국부적인 가열로 인한 설비의 파손, 연소로 내 불규칙적 유동현상으로 인한 연소 장애 등이 있다. 따라서 앞에서 말한 문제점들을 보안하며 보일러의 안정적인 운전 및 열효율 향상을 위해서는 기본적으로 연소로 내 유동현상을 정확히 예측할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위해 우리는 상용화 되고 있는 50ton/day 이상 Stoker 보일러 현장 운전조건을 대입, Ansys CFD Fluent.18을 사용하여 시뮬레이션을 진행하였다. 연소로 내 열의 유동해석, 배출가스의 흐름 등을 예측하여 연소장애의 원인을 찾아보고 이에 맞는 대안을 찾기 위한 연구를 하였다.

Objectives: The baobab tree is a multipurpose, widely-used species with medicinal properties and numerous food uses. The aim of study was to evaluate the effect of oral administration of baobab on the formalin-induced inflammatory pain in rat model injected into the orofacial regions. Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 260-280 g were used. Pain in the orofacial region was induced using two models, 5% formalin was injected $50{\mu}l$ subcutaneously or $30{\mu}l$ in temporomandibular joint (TMJ), respectively. Rats were divided into 4 groups (n=6); formalin, formalin after distilled water (vehicle) or baobab (150, 300 mg/kg). The number of noxious behavioral responses with scratching the facial region was recorded for 9 successive 5-min intervals following formalin injection. Results:There was no significant difference in the first response to the pain between the formalin induced group and the drug administration group. However, in the secondary infusion group, all of the pain medication were responded (Bao 150, 300 mg/kg) (p<0.05). Conclusions:The results showed analgesic effect of baobab on formalin-induced orofacial inflammatory pain. This suggests that the natural product is an effective alternative to the postinflammatory pain control.
