교사추천서와 자기소개서 분석을 통한관찰∙추천제의 영재 판별 효과성 탐색

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of observation- recommendation system analyzing teacher recommendation letter and self-introduction essay and compare with the educational results. For this purpose, the frequency and characteristics shown in gifted teacher recommendation letter was analyzed. As a result, it showed that teacher recommendation evaluate more objectively than students’self-introduction essay. However, behavioral characteristics of the 32 최은주∙유미현gifted was more frequently mentioned in students’self-introduction essay. Teacher recommendations also put importance on social and creative characteristics of gifted students, and self-introduction essay emphasizes affective and creative characteristics of gifted students. Secondly, investigating the correlation between the observed results in the actual educational situation and the characteristics shown in teacher recommendations and self-introduction essay. As a result, there were some significant correlations among teacher recommendation letter, self introduction essay and the observed results. However, rank at the time of admission did not show a significant correlation with the rank after educating in Gifted Education Center. It depends on the efforts of students and admission rank could be different with results of education. 본 연구의 목적은 새로운 과학영재 판별 방법인 관찰∙추천제에 사용되는 추천서, 자기소개서를 분석하고영재학생들의 실제 교육상황에서 결과와 비교하여 관찰∙추천제의 효과성을 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위해 첫 번째로 교사추천서에 나타난 영재 행동 특성의 빈도 및 비율을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 교사추천서가 학생들을 보다 객관적으로 평가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 자기소개서에서 영재 행동 특성에 대한 언급 빈도가 높았다. 또한 교사추천서는 영재 학생의 사회적 특성과 창의적 특성을 중요시하였고, 자기소개서는 정의적과 창의적 특성을중요시하는 것으로 나타났다. 두 번째로 교사추천서와 자기소개서의 특성, 그리고 실제 교육상황에서 관찰결과와의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 그 결과 교사추천서, 자기소개서 및 영재교육원 교육장면 관찰 일부 영역에서 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 그러나 입학 당시의 석차는 영재교육원에서의 교육 후 석차와는 유의미한 상관관계가나타나지 않았다. 이는 영재교육원의 교육결과는 입학석차와는 다르며, 학생의 노력 여하에 따라 달라지는 것을의미한다.
수영운동과 DA-9601투여가 흰쥐의 소화기계에서 IL-8, TNF-a와 COX-2유전자 발현에 미치는 영향

최은주, 차광석. 수영운동과 DA-9601투여가 흰쥐의 소화기계에서 IL-8, TNF-a와 COX-2유전자 발현에 미치는 영향. 운동과학, 제21권 제3호. 339-346, 2012. 본 연구는 수영운동과 DA-9601의 투여가 소화기관내 염증성 사이토카인과 케모카인 발현에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 규명하고자 하였다. 이 연구를 위하여 20마리의 BALB/c마우스를 대상으로 각각 5마리씩 4그룹 통제그룹(CON), DA섭취그룹(DA), 운동그룹(EX), DA-9601투여와 운동병행그룹(DA+EX)으로 분류하였다. DA-9601은 수영운동 30분 전에 경구 투여 50 mg/g/day로 실시하였으며, 조직은 마지막 운동 훈련 직후 소화기관인 소장과 대장에서 적출하였다. 그 결과 염증성 사이토카인인 IL-8, TNF-a, COX-2유전자가 운동그룹(EX)에서 증가하였으며, DA-9601투여와 운동병행그룹(DA+EX)에서 유의하게 감소하는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이상과 같은 연구 결과를 종합해 볼 때 수영운동은 소화기계에 염증성 사이토카인 유전자를 증가시켜 염증상태의 환경을 제시하였다. 따라서 DA-9601의 투여가 운동으로 인한 소화기계의 염증성 케모카인 및 사이토카인을 완화시키는 것을 증명하였다. To perform this experiment, we prepared 20 BALB/c mice and divided into 4 groups (5 rats in each group). These 4 groups were designated as followings:control group(con), DA administration group(DA), exercise group(EX) and exercise group with DA-9601 administration(EX+DA). DA-9601 was steadily administered(50 mg/g/day) during 30 minutes before swimming exercise, and the organization was removed from small intestine and colon after the last exercise training. From above process, we identified that inflammatory cytokines IL-8, TNF-a, COX-2 genes were steadily increased in exercise group (EX), and they were significantly decreased in an exercise group which was DA-9601 ingested (DA+EX). As a result of this experiment, we inferred that high-intensity exercise such as a swimming exercise can cause an inflammatory condition of the environment by increasing inflammation-related genes in digestive system. Therefore, DA-9601 administration which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect would be necessary to repress inflammatory cytokines due to exercise. Also, ingestion with antioxidant products is ideally considered and recommended in order to repress the Inflammation in intestines.
Updates to Clinical Information on Anticancer Immunotherapy

Objective: Over the last several years, immunotherapy has become one of the most promising therapeutic options for cancer. This study aims to summarize the updates on cancer immunotherapy focusing on immune checkpoint inhibitors, such as programmed cell death-1 (PD-1), programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4) inhibitors, which have received attention as new anticancer therapeutic agents. Methods: A literature survey was carried out on PubMed to identify high-impact papers on cancer immunotherapy from 2010. The most recent data on clinical efficacy and safety have been included highlighting the response characteristics to recently approved immunotherapeutic agents. Results: In various cancers, immune checkpoints are a means for cancer cells to evade the immune system. Furthermore, CTLA-4 and PD-L1 can be overexpressed, allowing malignant cells to evade T-cells. Numerous clinical trials have been performed to seek appropriate indication of these products in various cancer types. Among them, the most conspicuous types are melanoma, non-small-cell lung cancer, and head and neck cancer. The approval of ipilimumab by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) commenced a new era of cancer immunotherapy. This was followed by the approval of nivolumab and pembrolizumab. Currently, combination therapies are being investigated for various cancer types. Conclusion: In this study, we reviewed recently reported scientific and clinical evidence for currently approved immune checkpoint inhibitors. Although these novel checkpoint inhibitors are ever evolving for cancer therapies, there exist limitations that need to be overcome, indicating the necessity for further studies aiming to improve their efficacy, toxicity, and cost.
인간 피부줄기세포 배지의 개발과 이를 조성물로 제조한 화장품의 유효성 평가

This research evaluates the efficacy of cosmetic products manufactured by applying stem cell culture techniques. The results are obtained after analysing the characteristics of cells cultured in the medium and evaluating function of cosmetics and the effectiveness using MTS procedure. When culturing human skin cell and skin stem cell after manufacturing culture medium by mixing approved cosmetics ingredients, the growth and proliferation of cells were assured. Also associated with skin regeneration from cultured cells and cell function was remarkably improved. With the culture medium of skin stem cell, Skin essence was manufactured. This cosmetics showed outstanding improvement effect on skin condition at sensory test of skin moisturizing, anti-wrinkle, whitening at the time of its use. In addition, a clinical test was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the Skin essence by applying skin essence containing culture medium after MTS procedure used as a physical stimulation method in efficient absorption and delivery of cosmetic ingredients. After MTS procedure, application of skin essence was represented to reduce erythema amount of facial skin and significantly increase moisture content. We conclude that cosmetics including culture medium ingredients of skin stem cell promotes the regeneration of skin whitening and anti-winkle and improves the status of trouble by soothing skin irritation by MTS procedure. Futhermore, this cosmetics showed the striking cosmetic effect of improving skin condition by maintaining and increasing skin moisture.

이 연구의 사례 아동은 학습장애아로 일반 초등학교 3학년에 재학중인 여자 아동이다. 아동은 읽기, 셈하기 등의 영역에서 전반적으로 학습에 지체를 보이고 있다. 아동의 현재 학습 능력은 초등학교 1학년 수준으로 볼 수 있다. 특히 수학 학습에 많은 어려움이 있다. 아동의 수학 학습 능력은 자리 덧셈, 뺄셈과 구구단 외우기를 할 수 있으며, 두 자리 곱셈은 완벽하지는 못하지만 가능했다. 그러나 연구자가 숫자의 대소 비교를 하도록 하였을 때 전혀 하지 못하였고 나눗셈 과정에 들어가면서부터 덧셈, 뺄셈, 곱셈, 나눗셈 4가지 연산을 혼동하기 시작했다. 덧셈을 해야할 상황에서 뺄셈을 하고, 뺄셈을 해야할 때 덧셈을 하는 등의 혼동을 하였다. 이러한 학습적인 측면이외에도 시-지각 문제, 주의 산만, 주의 집중 결여, 다동성 등 학습장애 아동들이 보이는 특성을 가지고 있다. 알아들을 수 없을 정도의 조음장애를 가지고 있었지만 언어치료를 10개월 정도 받은 현재는 많이 완화되었다.
Effect of Enterococcus faecalis EF-2001 on experimentally induced atopic eczema in mice

Here, the effects of heat-killed Enterococcus faecalis EF-2001 (EF-2001) on atopic eczema(AE) were assessed. An AE model was established in vivo by repetitious topical exposure to 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB) and dermatophagoidesfarinae extract (DFE) via application on each ear. Mice were administered EF-2001 orally for 4 weeks, dermal and epidermal ear thickness, mast cellinfiltration of the ear tissue, and serum IgE and IgG2a levels were evaluated. Moreover, pathogeniccytokines levels of the ears, splenocytes, and cervical lymph nodes were determined. EF-2001 reducedAE symptoms grounded in the ear thickness, histopathological analysis, and serum IgE levels. Furthermore, EF-2001 attenuated mast cell infiltration in the ears and CDNB/DFE-induced variouspathogenic cytokines levels of the ears, splenocytes and cervical lymph nodes. Thus, our datasuggested that EF-2001 may have potential medicinal applications in the treatment of AE through itsimmunomodulatory properties.

Schwannoma, benign neoplasia derived from schwann cell, is rare tumor, and prevalent in tongue, palate, floor of mouth and buccal mucosa. Thirty-six-year-old male with asymptomatic protrusion of mandible angle was evaluated. We surgically removed the mass and histological examination gave the diagnosis of ancient schwannoma. We report a case of ancient schwannoma in masseter muscle and review of literature.
