For women, shoes are so important tools as to signify the completion of the fashion. Thus, if they were prohibited from wearing high heels, it could imply they should give up the fashion. This study investigates the influence of the shape of shoe toes on human feet. By using the insole-type foot pressure measurement system, the sole of a foot is divided into ten zones, with one pair of indoor shoes and 5-centimeter-high pumps of three different kinds of toe shapes(square type, round type, and pointed type), and then the access area, maximum force, and maximum pressure of each zone are measured. The experiments showed that the shoes with pointed type have large access area with relatively narrow area of toe bones, which mean high pressure. In addition, it is observed that the larger forefoot pressure or force results in the decrease in the advancement function of big toes. The concern is also confirmed that the abduction of big toes caused the collapse of arch in the case of a flatfoot. In cases of square and round type, the big toe's advancement function was more prominent in the former than in the latter, which corresponds to the idea of more effective shape of toes for walking. According to the above results, the best shape of shoe toe for women's foot health is considered to be in the order of square type, round type, and pointed type.
