The effects of alloying elements on the superplastic properties of Al-Li based alloys had been investigated. The intermediate thermo-mechanical treated(ITMT) Al-2.0wt%Li, Al-2.0wt%Li-1.0wt%Mg, Al-2.0wt%Li-0.12wt%Zr and Al-2.0wt%Li-1.2wt%Cu-1.0wt%Mg-0.12wt%Zr alloys were tested in tension at various temperature (400, 450, 500 and 550℃) and strain rate(6.7×10^(-3), 1.0×10^(-2), 1.6×10^(-2) and 5.0×10^(-2)/sec). The results were as follows : The superplasticity in binary, ternary and pentanary alloys appeared at 500 to 550℃, and good strain rate for superplasticity, 1.6×10^(-2)/sec∼1.0×10^(-2)/sec for a binary alloy and 1.0×10(-2)/sec∼6.7×10^(-3)/sec for ternary and pentanary alloys. A Zr-added ternary alloy had best value of elongation (730%) in four alloys at 550℃ of tension temperature and 1.0×10^(-2)/sec of strain rate. The strain rate was greatly dependent on tension temperature and true strain rate was more than 1.0 at all test temperature and strain rate. In binary and Mg-added teranry alloys, the necks were slightly formed and their fracture surface had lips shape, but Zr-added ternary and pentanary alloy fractured along the grain boundary without necking. Their dislocations moved to grain boundary during superplasticity deformation and arranged perpendicular to grain boundary. Superplastic deformation was made by grain boundary slip of dislocation slip creep and model of core and mantle.

To investigate the properties of diffusion bonding of 7050 Al alloy, the diffusion bonding joints have been produced in self-made diffusion bonding hot-press which admits a defined application of the bonding pressure during the heating phase and also rapid cooling after the bonding process with various bonding condition. The strength of the bond increases with increasing the bonding time and temperature. Shear test at toom temperature showed that high strength up to 70% that of parent metal (320㎫), 220㎫ for the specimen bonded 14hr at 560℃, with 3㎫. In this case, however, there is large deformation more than 20% reduction in thickness. The results were correlated with joint characteristics found by optical microstructure and by fractography by SEM. When the strengths of the bonds are more than 50% that of parent metal, a great deal of dimples stretched along the direction of shear stress are observed over the fractured surface of the bond. On the microstructure of the bond line, initial mophology of the bond line disapeared for the grain boundary migration with increasing tire bonding time.
초전도 세라믹 Y-Ba-Cu-O계의 구조적 상전이와 분해거동에 관한 연구

In this study, the structural phase transition and decomposition of superconducting ceramic, Y-Ba-Cu-O system was studied. The results of the study are as follows. The high Tc superconductor Y₂Ba₂Cu₃O_(7-x) is made in solid state reaction of O₂atmosphere and the valve of X in Y₂Ba₂Cu₃O_(7-x) is 0.1∼0.2. The transition temperature of tetragonal-orthorhombic phase of Y₂Ba₂Cu₃O_(7-x) appear at 790℃-900℃. In the result of measuring the electrical resistance of sample annealed in O₂atmosphere, the electrical resistance show zero at 92K and the best superconductor, Y₂Ba₂Cu₃O_(7-x)(Y123) can be mabe.

The formation of high T_c phase is very sluggish and c parameter of unit cell of high T_c phase is about 37Å. High T_c oxide superconductor with a T_c above 100K has been successfully prepared by solid state reaction method in BiSrCaCuO system by Pb adding. The microstructure related to the formation of the high T_c phase has been investigated. As compared with YBCO compound, the formation reaction of the high T_c requires long time heat treatment. It is due to the transformation from the low T_c phase to high T_c phase. The sintering just below the melting point of the calcined powder mixture is effective on the formation of the high T_c phase in Pb-added BiSrCaCuO system. The growth of the high T_c superconducting phase has a thin plate shape, which is characterized by the c parameter of 37Å. The formation of the high T_c phases is delayed by the excessive addition of Pb. The lattice parameter (c) of the unit cell (both the low and high T_c phases) is increased with increase of Pb.

본 연구는 타이완, 싱가포르, 홍콩을 중심으로, 최근 각 국가에서 제기되고 있는 교육 국제화 정책들을 분석하고, 이러한 이슈가 등장하게 된 사회문화적·교육적 맥락을 바탕으로 세 국가가 공유하고 있는 유사점과 차이점은 무엇인지에 대해 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 타이완, 싱가포르, 홍콩은 유교 문화를 바탕으로 강력한 중앙 집권적 체제 하에 교육정책 및 개혁을 추진해오고 있다. 이들 국가들은 세계화 국제화에 적극적인 대응 전략으로, 교육개방 강화 및 고등교육을 중심으로 세계교육의 허브가 되기 위한 노력을 강구하고 있다. 또한 중국과의 연계를 통하여 세계적인 영향력을 키워가고 있으며, 교육을 통해 다문화의 특성 안에서 조화와 공존을 도모하고 있다. 그러나 교육의 허브가 되기 위한 정책 및 전략들을 구체적으로 살펴보면 각 국가의 사회문화적 특징에 따라 다양한 양상을 보이고 있다. 예컨대 싱가포르와 홍콩은 적극적인 외국 인력 유입 정책에 의한 자국민과의 경합 문제가 발생하고 있으며, 타이완과 홍콩은 중국 본토와의 협력이 중요한 이슈이다. 타이완은 실용 영어 교육에 초점을 두고 중앙집권적 체제에서 자율성을 강화하는 방향으로 교육개혁을 추진하고 있으며 싱가포르와 홍콩은 이미 영어 능력이 향상된 이후 모국어 교육의 질 관리에 초점을 두고 있다. 이처럼 추구하는 방향은 유사하지만 목표에 접근하는 방식 및 관점은 각 국가의 제도적 맥락에 따라 상이하다. 아시아의 사회문화적 맥락 및 환경적 특성을 토대로 우리 문화에 부합되는 교육개혁을 추진함에 있어 이들 중화권 아시아 국가의 교육개혁을 살펴보는 것은 그 의의가 크다. This study comparatively examines Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong’s recent reforms based on perspective of internationalization on education and investigated similarities and differences these three countries are sharing based on their socio-cultural context. As a result, it was found that all three countries are actively responding to the widespread of internationalization by opening their education market and trying to become a region’s educational hub by reinforcing higher education sector. Also, there has been stronger link established between China which resulted in stronger international exposure and enhanced capacity for multinational society through the strategy of coexistence and balance. However, it was found that the way these specific policies were implemented differed based from each countries’ own contextual background. For instance, Singapore and Hong Kong were facing issues of growing conflicts between the immigrants and local population due to their active introduction of foreign brains, and as for Taiwan, developing solid cooperation with mainland China in various fields, including education, is one of the most important issues. Other notable findings include Taiwan’s administrative system shifting from centralization toward strengthening autonomy of local schools and the focus of English education has shifted from textbook oriented to daily life practical usage. On the other hand, Singapore and Hong Kong, where English has been widely used for long time already, put more emphasis on promoting on increase in proficiency of mother tongue language. When introducing or developing new education reform, it is crucial to consider the cultural and socio-economic context of Asia, therefore, by examining various reform policies in neighbouring Asian countries will offer multi-dimensional insights for implication.

Mitochondria continuously fuse and divide to maintain homeostasis. An impairment in the balance between the fusion and fission processes can trigger mitochondrial dysfunction. Accumulating evidence suggests that mitochondrial dysfunction is related to neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease (PD), with excessive mitochondrial fission in dopaminergic neurons being one of the pathological mechanisms of PD. Here, we investigated the balance between mitochondrial fusion and fission in the substantia nigra of a non-human primate model of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-induced PD. We found that MPTP induced shorter and abnormally distributed mitochondria. This phenomenon was accompanied by the activation of dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1), a mitochondrial fission protein, through increased phosphorylation at S616. Thereafter, we assessed for activation of the components of the cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (CDK5) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signaling cascades, which are known regulators of Drp1(S616) phosphorylation. MPTP induced an increase in p25 and p35, which are required for CDK5 activation. Together, these findings suggest that the phosphorylation of Drp1(S616) by CDK5 is involved in mitochondrial fission in the substantia nigra of a non-human primate model of MPTP-induced PD.
