This study aims to investigate the antecedent of consumer personal preventive equipment purchase behaviour by extending the HBM model after the pandemic. Pandemic related studies have focused on the effect of perceived susceptibility and perceived severity on consumer preventive behaviour, little studies have investigated the antecedents of consumer perceived risk. This study filled the gaps in the previous studies. This study tested all proposed hypotheses among users who have purchase the self-preventive behaviour. In final 253 valid data were collected through online survey for statistics analysis. This study found that consumer’s health consciousness significantly impacted consumer’s perceived severity of COVID-19 and perceived risk. Perceived risk positively impacted consumer self-preventive equipment purchase intention. In contrast, perceived susceptibility did not significantly consumer perceived risk. Based on these results, the theoretical implication will be offered on the study of health-related studies and will be given insight for disease control center to effectively manage consumer self-preventive behaviour.

This study aims to investigate the effects of telepresence on young moviegoers' flow experiences and social interactions, and the impact on consumer delight, trust, and experience sharing behavior on cinema mobile social network site pages. Given the scarcity of telepresence research, indirect telepresence on experience sharing via two experiences and social interactions is also included. The study used pages from Korean cinema mobile social network sites, and 175 Chinese moviegoers residing in Korea participated. We found that telepresence positively impacts the activity in both human–human and human–computer interactions. We further contend that telepresence positively affects perceived enjoyment and attentional focus. However, perceived enjoyment does not significantly affect consumer delight. We found that consumer delight positively influences consumer trust and movie experience sharing. Moreover, we illustrated that telepresence significantly and indirectly influences consumer movie experience-sharing behavior through attention focus and consumer delight. Our results provide crucial insights for future study and practical managerial.

This study aims to investigate the factors influencing preventive behavior among foreigners residing in Korea. Drawing upon the Health Belief Model (HBM), this study seeks to gain insights into the decision-making processes underlying preventive behavior within this specific population. A comprehensive online survey was conducted among 364 foreigners. An analysis revealed that perceived barriers and perceived benefits played crucial roles as mediators, mediating the relationship between the examined factors and preventive behavior. The insights gained from this study have implications for public health interventions and self-preventive product businesses aiming to promote and sustain self-preventive behavior practices among foreigners residing in Korea, even after all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.

The aim of this study is to investigate how travelers’ destination visit intentions are influenced by avatar self-congruence in the metaverse platform. We extended the impression management theory by considering both perceived enjoyment and social engagement, and illustrated the interaction effect based on users’ digital age. To achieve this, we conducted an online survey with 302 users. The survey results revealed that avatar self-congruence significantly influenced users in terms of perceived enjoyment and social engagement, thereby affecting their destination visit intentions. This study also revealed a significant interaction effect between digital age type and avatar self-congruence on users’ perceived enjoyment. The results of this study are expected to provide not only a theoretical reference for metaverse research and travel research but also managerial implications for destination management and metaverse applications.
Passive micromixer using by convection and surface tension effects with air-liquid interface
주종일,Jay Warrick 한국바이오칩학회 2013 BioChip Journal Vol.7 No.4
This article describes a passive micromixer that utilizes an air-liquid interface and surface tension effects to enhance fluid mixing via convection and Marangoni effects. Performance of the microfluidic component is tested within a passive-pumpingbased device that consists of three microchannels connected in succession using passive micro-mixers. Mixing was quantified at 5 key points along the length of the device using microscope images of patterned streams of Alexa 488 fluorescent-dyed water and pure DI water flowing through the device. The passive micro-mixer mixed fluid 15-20 times more effectively than diffusion between laminar flow streams alone and is a novel micro-mixer embodiment that provides an additional strategy for removing external components from microscale devices for simpler, autonomous operation.

Numerical studies have been conducted to predict the solid-liquid separation efficiency of turbulent flow in a hydrocyclone using a commercial CFD code. To validate the CFD code, several preliminary numerical calculations are carried out to determine the influence of parameters such as grid systems, numerical schemes, and turbulence models. The numerical studies have been performed on the hydrocyclones with the different vortex finder geometries by changing the mass flow rate, and the results were compared with the experimental data. The results show that the CFD code can be used as a design tool to improve the performance of hydrocyclones.
