Trichotillomania is a neuropsychiatric disorder characterized by repetitive pulling out of one’s hair. We present a trichotillomania case study illustrating the effectiveness of habit reversal training, which has recently been found, in western countries, to be a very effective cognitive behavioral treatment. The refractory patient in our study had previously received 1 year of drug treatment and psychiatric consultation for the disorder. We administered 10 habit reversal training sessions, which was followed by an obvious improvement in the patient’s trichotillomania symptoms. Our observations indicate that habit reversal training might be effective in the treatment of trichotillomania.

주의력결핍 과잉행동장애에서 아동행동평가척도, 아동인성검사, 주의력장애 진단시스템 : 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애의 진단에서 차원적 진단도구들의 역할

Objective : We investigated that ADHD categorical diagnosis and the dimensional tools for the evaluation of ADHD, widely used in the clinical field, such as the child behavior check list- Korean version (K-CBCL), Korean personality inventory for children (KPI-C), computerized Attention Diagnostic System (ADS). Method : The DSM-IV clinical diagnosis applied by child psychiatrist. K-CBCL, KPI-C, ADS are used. Ultimately, totally 161 ADHD children and 161 controls were evaluated. Subject group are consist of 202 boys (62.7%) and 120 girls (37.3%), and the mean age was $9.5{\pm}2.0$ years old. Results and Conclusion : Social problem, and attention problem in the K-CBCL, correct response time standard deviation in the computerized ADS were statistically significant different and attention problem in the K-CBCL, hyperactivity subscale in the KPI-C were significant trait, between subject group and control group. The ROC value of attention problem in the K-CBCL, hyperactivity subscale in the KPI-C, and ADS were .78, .93, .86. Finally, we found that K-CBCL, KPI-C, ADS were significant corelation with the ADHD categorical diagnosis.

피부 노화는 피부 표면에 나타나는 현상으로 피부 표면의 미세구조와 연관이 있다. 피부 미세구조의 변화는 주름형성, 피부 톤 저하 등 다양한 피부 노화 현상을 유발하는 요인이 된다. 본 연구는 주름 기능성 성분인 세드롤(Cedrol)과 콜라겐 유래 펩타이드 성분을 이용하여 시험관 수준(in vitro)에서 타입Ⅲ 콜라겐 합성 시너지 효과를 평가하였다. 여성 피시험자를 대상으로 4주 동안 상기 원료가 함유된 크림제품을 사용한 후 피부 미세 구조, 스타 형상(star configurations), 보습, 탄력, 피부 밝기, 윤기, 피부 톤, 투명도를 평가하였다. 시험관 수준의 세드롤과 펩타이드를 동시에 처리하면 우수한 수준의 타입Ⅲ 콜라겐 합성 시너지효과를 나타내었다. 그리고 크림제형을 이용한 인체적용 시험에서는 사용 4주 후부터 피부 미세구조, 스타형상, 윤기, 피부 톤, 보습, 탄력을 개선시켰으나, 피부 밝기 개선 효능은 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구를 통하여 기존 주름 기능성 성분인 세드롤과 콜라겐 유래 펩타이드는 세포 수준에서 타입Ⅲ 콜라겐 합성 시너지 효과가 있음을 확인하였고 이를 화장품에 적용하여 시험한 결과 피부 노화 개선에 도움을 주는 성분임을 확인하였다. Skin aging is the phenomena finally expressed on the skin surface and related to the changes in the microstructure of the skin texture. Which is resulted in wrinkle formation and uneven tone of skin and so on. In this study, the synergy effect of Cedrol and a collagen-derived peptide in type Ⅲ collagen synthesis was evaluated by in vitro test. The physiological skin state of 22 female volunteers was measured after using the cosmetics for 4 weeks. Results showed that Cedrol and a collagen-derived peptide had the excellent synergy effect in type Ⅲ collagen synthesis. The cosmetics improved skin microrelief, star configurations, skin gloss, skin tone, hydration and elasticity except skin lightening. In conclusion, this study proved that Cedrol and collagen-derived peptide had the synergy effect of type Ⅲ collagen synthesis in the cell level and cosmetics with those was improved skin aging in human volunteer test.

Soybean Lipoxygenase에 의한 Linoleic Acid Hydroperoxide의 생성

Linoleic acid를 기질로 사용하여 soybean lipoxygenase에 의한 과산화 반응을 조사하고 효소 활성에 미치는 인삼 물 추출물과 인삼 saponin류의 영향을 in vitro에서 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. Linoleic acid에 lipoxygenase의 km 값은 7.4×??M이었다. 인삼의 물 추출물은 lipoxygenase의 활성을 증가시켜 linoleic acid hydroperoxide양을 증가시켰으며,활성도는 최종농도가 ??%일 때 가장 크게 나타났다. 인삼 total saponin, diol계 및 saponin계 saponin은 lipoxygenase의 ??값을 감소 시킴으로써 linoleic acid에 대한 친화력을 증가 시켰으며,이 때 ??값은 diol계 saponin, total saponin, triol계 saponin의 순서로 감소하였다. The peroxidation of linoleic aid by soybean lipoxygenase and the effects of ginseng water extract, ginseng saponins on the activity of this enzyme in vitro were investigated. The ?? value of lipoxygenase for linoleic acid was 7.40×??M. The amount of linoleic acid hydroperoxide was increased by the effect of ginseng water extract which increased lipoxygenase activity, and the activity of this enzyme was the highest when the final concentration of ginseng extract was ??%. The ?? values of lipoxygense were decreased by diol, triol and total saponins which increased the affinity of this enzyme for linoleic acid. And the order of ?? value decreasing effect was diol saponin>total saponin>triol saponin.
