Objectives : In order to study the effect of oriental medical therapy on chronic prostatitis patient, the change of WBC counts on expressed prostatic secretion(EPS) was investigated. Methods : Chronic prostatitis patient who had been diagnosed by EPS test was re-tested as same way after improvement of symptom And then we investigated the change of WBC counts on EPS according to therapeutic period, age, usual habit, herb medicine and symptom of each patient, and his and his sexual partner's past history of STD or UTI. Results : According to the change of WBC counts on EPS, improvement rate was 83.3%, cure rate was 46.7%. The youth who didn't have the usual habit of enduring ejaculation during sexual intercourse, enduring urination and sitting long time a day was improved well. Conclusions : According to the above results, it is suggested that oriental medical therapy is effective to the change of WBC counts on EPS.

Objective: The aim was to identify the inhibitory effects of Flos Bombacis Malabarici(FBM) on Monosodium Urate (MSU)-induced gout in rats. Materials and Methods: After pretreatment of FBM I (50mg/kg), FBM II (125mg/kg) for seven days followed by injection of MSU solution, the various indicators related to gout were measured, such as hematological and serum levels and including joint inflammation. Also, it was investigated whether FBM directly inhibits the activity of xanthine oxidase in vitro. Results: As a result of this study, FBM didn't show the cytotoxicity in Jurkat cells, but it showed significant inhibition of activity of xanthine oxidase in vitro. FBM slightly inhibited joint inflammation induced by MSU though not with statistical significance. FBM partially decreased MSU-induced AST, ALT, BUN, creatinine, WBC, ESR elevation and significantly decreased MSU-induced uric acid in serum. Conclusion: These results suggest that FBM has therapeutic effects that are applicable to prevention and treatment of gout. and should be further investigated.

국내 비탈면 설계 기준은 국토교통부가 제정한 건설공사 비탈면 설계기준을 따르고 있다. 사면안정성 확보 대책으로서의 네일 설계의 경우가 있다. 네일 배치는 지반의 전체적인 안정성을 확보하도록 동일한 간격으로 배치하거나 또는 파괴토체의 활동 양상에 따라 배치를 달리할 수 있다. 대책 공법의 최적 설계는 치수와 형상의 최적화를 통해 사면의 안정성을 확보함으로써 결정된다. 그러나 사면 중 높이가 낮은 곳에 일률적인 네일 배치 시 기준 안전율을 초과하여 경제적인 설계를 저해하는 경우가 있다. 네일의 보강은 전체 사면에 걸쳐 배치하는 것이 바람직하다. 네일의 수평 간격이 비탈면 높이에 따라 위상 최적화 된 경우, 기준 안전율을 만족시키면서 보강재의 양을 최소화 할 수 있었다. 비탈면의 높이가 낮아지는 구간에서는 활동 하중이 감소하므로 보강 후의 안전율이 과도하게 증가 할 수 있다. 따라서 보강 형상 밀도를 이용한 경제적인 최적 설계 방법으로 위상 최적화 기법을 제안하였다. 또한 비탈면 높이별로 수평 간격을 최적 설계할 수 있는 관계식을 정립하였다. Korea follows the slope design criteria during construction. It was enacted by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. There are cases where the Soil-nail is designed as a measure to secure slope stability. The arrangement of the soil-nail may be arranged at equal intervals or may be arranged differently depending on the soil failure model. The optimum design of the countermeasure method is determined by securing stability of the slope through optimization of dimensions and shape. However, when uniform nails are placed at low elevations in slopes, the standard safety factor is exceeded, which may hinder economic design. It is preferable to arrange the reinforcement of the nails over the entire slope. When the horizontal spacing of the nails was topology optimized according to the slope height, it was possible to minimize the amount of reinforcement while satisfying the standard safety factor. Since the active load is reduced in the section where the slope height is lowered, the safety factor after reinforcement may be excessively increased. Therefore, the phase optimization method is proposed as an economical optimal design method using the reinforcing shape density. In addition, a relational expression was designed to optimize the horizontal spacing by slope height.
