        토사자( Cuscuta japonica Choisy, 토絲子)를 이용한 한방팩의 안전성과 피부상태 개선에 관한 연구

        This research is written to study safety and improvement of skin condition of C. japonica Choisy when used as the ingredient of pack was tested. The C. japonica Choisy sample was prepared as the extract of water and ethanol C. japonica Choisy is seed of vine characteristic plant that is in the family of the bindweed. Problems such as a change of color and separation of phase were not discovered in sun-lamp test. As the result of the clinical demostration of C. japonica Choisy water extract contained pack, the trivial change in skin`s pH and the moisturizing effect in proportion to the number of times using the pack were observed. In the survey of the pack containing C. japonica Choisy water extract, parts of whitening, moisturizing and purchasing desire scored high, however, the parts of color, texture, and scent need to be improved. Furthermore, by the result of the patch test, it was showed that there was no stimulus on skin when using the pack containing C. japonica Choisy water extract, which proves the safety of using C. japonica Choisy as the ingredient of the cosmeceutical activity. According to all the test results that have been given, it is possible that the extract of C. japonica Choisy can be used as a new natural material of oriental herbal cosmetics.

      • 오배자를 이용한 손소독채 개발

        본 연구는 찬연물의 항균실험을 통해 항균성분과 항균효과를 확인하고 이를 이용해 손소독제를 개발하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 천연불 중 항균 성분을 가지고 있다고 보고되어진 오배자를 에탄올로 추출하여 피부상재균인 Staphylococcus epidermidis, Saphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coil, Canaida albicans, Propinibacterium acne을 이용하여 paper disc확산법으로 clear zone을 확인하였다. 오배자 에탄올 추출물 0.25mg/disc, 0.5mg/disc 농도에서 Staphylococcus aureus균에서 각각 11mm, 13mm의 항균효과를 보였으며 0.5mg/disc는 Propinibacterium acne균에 10mm 항균효과를 보였다. 항균효과를 나타낸 오배자를 이용해 손소독제를 만들어 일반 손소독제와 비교하였다. 손소독제의 항균 실험은 핸드플레이트를 이용하여 각각의 손소독제를 사용 후 항균력을 확인하여 세균 수플 측정한 결과 일반 손소독제보다 오배자 추출물 손소독제가 더 높은 항균 효과를 나타낸 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이로 인해 천연물의 항균력을 증진 시키는 연구와 성분 분석 및 효능에 대한 연구를 진행하여 천연물을 이용한 손소독제의 사용이 널리 확대되고 개발되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.

        감마선을 조사한 도인피(桃仁皮)의 항산화활성

        Objectives: This study were carried out to investigate the anti-oxidative activities of γ-SPE(gamma irradiated shell of Persicae semen extract with ethanol). Methods: Anti-oxidative was measured by DPPH free radical scavenging activities, nitric oxide radical scavenging activities, SOD-like activities, xanthine oxidase radical scavenging activities, nitrite scavenging activities and tyrosinase inhibition activities. Results: Effects of free radial scavenging was increased by irradiation. Tyrosinase inhibition activities was decreased by γ-SPE. Conclusions: Results suggested that γ-SPE have a potential as a new anti-oxidative material.

        The purpose of this study was to search of bath culture and oriental herbal bath toiletry in korea. And the bath toiletry in effect and the extraction region and extraction time it shared and a bath toiletry useful characteristic it examined. The peach, the rice, the mugwort, the garlic, the ginseng, the sweet flag and the red-bean were used frequently from bath of korea. The anti-microbial and the anti-inflammatory are many most effect of the bath toiletry and the next is the whitening activities. The seed, the stem and the fruit were used most plentifully in the bath toiletry. And, the peach and the japanese apricot (maesil) are the bath toiletry materials which is useful.

        네일 샵 종사자의 위생교육 실태에 관한 연구

        Since legal regulations of the nail art are not properly made out, many hygiene problems occur both in customers and nail artists and it brings about their safe problems in a nail shop. This study examined 365 nail shop workers nationwide to analyze the actual state of their hygiene education. The findings suggest that married nail shop works of thirties and over were increased and most nail shops were operated on a small scale. Surprisingly, 76.4% of nail shop workers had never received hygiene education during their working in nail shops It is partly because most nail art certificates are issued by private institutions, not by national ones and it results in negligence of management, suggesting that the nail art certificate system should be included in the beauty artist certificate program controlled by the government. Also, minium description in the Public Health Act is problematic. Of 86 nail shop workers who received hygiene education during their working, the commonest place to be educated was a nail shop they worked and they were commonly educated more than once per month. The common source of obtaining nail art hygiene information was beauty-related seminars and 14.5% responded no source of obtaining. 81.1% of nail shop workers indicated the need of hygiene education, suggesting that systematic hygiene education should be given. In conclusion, it is suggested that nail art hygiene education is necessary for nail shop workers to have more opportunities to access to knowledge and practice for nail art hygiene.

        유산균 발효에 의한 밤송이추출물의 항산화 효과

        국내의 천연자원 및 부산물로부터 기능성을 갖는 다양한 물질을 탐색하여 자원의 효율적인 측면, 새로운 기능성을 함유한 화장품소재 개발 및 피부 노화 메커니즘을 연구함으로써 밤과수 과정에서 폐기되는 밤송이의 활용방안을 찾기 위한 연구의 기초 자료로서 그 화학성분을 분석하였으며, 또한 새로운 기능성 소재를 탐색하기 위한 일환으로 밤송이 발효 추출물을 이용하여 항산화 효과에 대한 연구를 하였다. DPPH 라디칼소거능, Hydrogen peroxide저해활성, Nitric oxide radical 소거능 측정결과 균주 5% 접종 후 6일간 배양액 추출에서 가장 높은 항산화활성을 나타내었다. 또한 ABTS 라디칼소거능, 환원력 측정, Superoxide anion radical 저해활성 실험을 통해서 대조군으로 사용된 BHA와 Ascrobic acid, EGCG에 비교하여 발효밤송이 추출물은 유사한 항산화 활성을 나타나는 결괄를 얻었다. 이와 같은 결과로 미루어 보아 발효 밤송이 추출물은 효능이 좋은 천연 항산화제로 기능성 화장품의 소재로 개발될 가능성이 매우 높다고 사료된다. The aim of this study was to show the antioxidant properties of chestnut (Castanea crenata) bur extracts fermented by Lactobacillus casei. The chestnut has been used as a cosmetic material in Korea for many years. This study showed that reactive oxygen species (ROS) were inhibited by the fermentation materials of chestnut bur extracts. The antioxidant activities were analyzed and expressed as EDA, ABTS, reducing power, SOD-like activity, hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity, superoxide anion radical scavenging activity, and nitric oxide scavenging ability. The antioxidant activities of fermentation materials from L. casei of chestnut bur extracts were higher than those of butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), and ascorbic acid (AA). Therefore, we expect that fermentation materials from L. casei of chestnut bur extracts are valuable resources as natural antioxidants and functional cosmetics ingredients.

        몰약(Commiphora molmol)의 항염증 및 화장품 약리활성에 관한 연구

        Commiphora molmol (well known myrrha) is a reddish-brown resinous material, the dried sap of the tree Commiphora molmol, native to Yemen, Somalia and the eastern parts of Ethiopia. High quality myrrha can be identified through the darkness and clarity of the resin. Limited scientific studies suggest that myrrha has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activities. This study determined cytotoxicity of myrrha oil to Raw 264.7 cells and its effect, measured by ELISA. This study was carried out to investigate the cosmeceutical activities of Commiphora molmol methanol extracts, by measuring electron-donating ability (using DPPH), nitrite-scavenging ability, and astringent activity. Based on the MTT assay, 12 and 24h myrrha exposures to 10ppm myrrha had little effect on Raw 264.7 cell (12h only) viability. At 24 h, 10~1000ppm myrrha decreased Raw 264.7 viability 30~38%. In nitrite-scavenging ability test, myrrha inhibited nitric oxide (NO) production and blocked LPS-induced iNOS expression. The DPPH radical scavenging activity was the 88% in 500 ppm of myrrha showed electron donating ability. Astringent effect of myrrha 98% at 500ppm concentration. These results indicate of myrrha extracts may be useful as a adjuvant for cosmeceutical industry.

        캄보디안 상황버섯 추출물의 주름개선 효과 연구

        사람의 피부는 자외선, 오염된 공기, 화학 제품 등 환경에 끊임없이 노출된다. 이들로 인한 자유라디칼과 활성 산소는 피부세포에 큰 손상을 끼치게 된다. 캄보디안 상황버섯 열수, 에탄올 추출물의 기능성 화장품 소재로 활용하기 위하여 지방 산패 억제능 측정과 주름개선 효과 측정을 하였다. 캄보디안 상황버섯 열수, 에탄올 추출물에 금속이온을 첨가하여 지방산패 억제능을 측정한 결과 캄보디안 상황버섯 열수 추출물 보다 에탄올 추출물이 Fe²?와 Cu²?chelating 능력이 우수하였다. 캄보디안 상황버섯 에탄올 추출물의 경우 0.1 ㎎/㎖, 0.5 ㎎/㎖, 1 ㎎/㎖의 농도에서 대조군인 butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT)보다 높은 지방산패 억제를 나타내었다. 캄보디안 상황버섯 열수, 에탄올 추출물은 산화 촉매제인 Fe²를 함유한 지방 산패 억제능이 Cu²?를 이용한 지방산패 억제능 보다 우수하였다. 주름개선 효과 측정으로 elastase 저해활성을 측정한 결과 캄보디안 상황버섯 에탄올 추출물은 0.01 ㎎/㎖의 농도에서 50.7%의 저해활성을 나타내어, 대조군인 urosolic acid보다 높은 elastase 저해활성을 타나내었다. 또한 에탄올 추출물의 경우 0.1 ㎎/㎖의 농도에서 약 50%의 저해활성을 나타내어 캄보디안 상황버섯 열수 추출물 보다 에탄올 추출물이 collagenase에 대해 높은 저해활성을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과에서 캄보디안 상황버섯의 에탄올 추출물은 지방산패 억제능이 우수할 뿐만 아니라 주름 개선 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었고, 주름 개선 화장품 소재로서의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. The skin of human is constantly being exposed to environmental irritants such as ultraviolet, smoke and chemicals. These irritants cause free radicals and reactive oxygen species which leave serious damages on the cells of skin. The water and ethanol extracts of Cambodian Phellinus linteus were investigated for the activities of anti-lipid peroxidation and anti-wrinkle effects to apply as a functional ingredient for cosmetic products. As the result of evaluation of liquid oxidation rate by add Fe²? and Cu²? to Cambodian Phellinus linteus extracts, Cambodian Phellinus linteus ethanol extracts were higher than Cambodian Phellinus linteus water extracts in the chealting ability of Fe²? and Cu²?. The Cambodian Phellinus linteus ethanol extracts exhibited that anti-lipid peroxidation higher than butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) at the concentration of 0.1 ㎎/㎖, 0.5 ㎎/㎖ and 1 ㎎/㎖. Cambodian Phellinus linteus water and ethanol extracts showed a higher inhibitory effect on Fe²?-induced lipid peroxidation compared to Cu²?-induced lipid peroxidation. In the case of anti-wrinkle effect, the elastase inhibition activity of Cambodian Phellinus linteus ethanol extracts was 50.7%, and it is higher than urosolic acid at the concentration of 0.01 ㎎/㎖. Also, in collagenase inhibition activity, Cambodian Phellinus linteus water extract showed low effect, but Cambodian Phellinus linteus ethanol extract was about 50% at a 0.1 ㎎/㎖. concentration. These results proved that Cambodian Phellinus linteus had anti-lipid peroxidation and anti-wrinkle effect. Therefore, Cambodian Phellinus linteus could be useful as an anti-wrinkle cosmetic ingredient.
