Effects of Propylene Glycol on the Physical Properties of Poly(vinyl alcohol) Solutions and Films

To trace the plasticizing effects of propylene glycol (PG) on poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), the rheological properties of PVA solutions in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and the physical properties of PVA films were discussed in terms of PG content. Both properties were closely related to the hydrogen bond breaking effects of PG. The 6 and 12 wt% PVA solutions containing PG exhibited Bingham behavior, which was more noticeable at lower plasticizer content and higher polymer concentration. The 6 wt% PVA solutions containing more than 30 wt% PG showed a sudden decrease of viscosity over the frequency range of 0.08 and 0.2 rad/s. However, the 12 wt% PVA solutions showed no viscosity reduction even at a PG content up to 40 wt%. The glass transition temperature of the PVA/PG films was almost linearly decreased with increasing PG content but an abrupt reduction was observed at a plasticizer content 30 wt%, suggesting that the hydrogen bond breaking effects of PG on PVA became dominant between 20 and 30 wt%. This effect was further supported by the similar tendency of the tensile properties.

최근 소프트웨어 재사용과 소프트웨어의 응용범위가 넓어짐에 따라 잘 정의된 아키텍처를 기반으로 개발된 컴포넌트 소프트웨어 개발(CBD : Component-Based Development)방식의 채택이 빠르게 확산되고 있다. 이러한 컴포넌트 소프트웨어 개발 방식이 빠르게 확산되면서 아키텍처를 정확하게 기술, 분석, 정제할 수 있는 능력 또한 점차 중요시 되고 있다. 아키텍처를 정확하게 기술, 분석 정제하기 위해서는 아키텍처 기술 언어(ADL)의 사용이 필요하다. 또한 ADL로 기술된 모델 정보들을 서로 다른 ADL지원도구들이 공유할 수 있도록 ADL모델 관리기의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 ADL 모델 관리기의 구성요소를 기술하며, ADL 모델 정보를 XML형태로 변환하는 변환기의 변환 과정을 설명하고, XML 형태로 변환된 ADL 모델 정보들을 저장하는 저장소 구조를 각각 기술하고, 검색기의 검색 과정 및 검색 결과를 보여준다.
강원도 복잡지형에 대한 WRF 지형 보정 및 그림자/경사 효과의 수치모의 적용성 평가

Understanding mountain weather is essential to the prevention and coping with forest disasters such as the wildfires and landslides that have occurred on the Korean peninsula, a land with large forest areas and complex terrain conditions. However, it is very difficult to accurately simulate irregular and local meteorological phenomena caused by complex terrain using numerical weather models. In the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model, which is a mesoscale model that is widely used for the numerical simulation of meteorological phenomena, parameterization reflecting topographic characteristics (subgrid-scale orography parameterization and slope/shading parameterization) have been developed, but research and application on the Korean peninsula are insufficient. In this study, WRF simulations were performed for the entire period of April, including the wildfire period (from April 4 to 6, 2019) in Goseong, Gangneung, and Inje in Gangwon-do, and the applicability of two parameterizations was evaluated. The difference of meteorological elements (2 m temperature, 2 m relative humidity, 10 m wind speed, and accumulated precipitation) was analyzed according to the parameterization. The results of the 1-km high spatial resolution numerical simulation were compared with the observation data of 122 ground weather stations. The results of the subgrid-scale orography parameterization showed that the forecasting performance of 10m wind speed was greatly improved compared to the control experiment. The overestimated surface wind speed has decreased, reducing the RMSE by 53.0% and the bias by 56.7%. The slope/shading parameterization did not show much difference in values compared to the control experiment, but more realistically simulated the variability of the surface heat flow according to changes in solar altitude. The results of this study indicate that the application of subgrid-scale orography parameterization and slope/shading parameterization can be sufficiently considered in numerical forecasting of the complex terrain of the Korean peninsula, and we suggest that it can improve the forecasting performance of mountain micrometeorology.

Spherical silver naoparticles were synthesized by reducing aqueous silver nitrate (AgNO3) solution with Magnolia leaf ectracts. The silver nanoparticles synthesized were surrounded by a thin layer of some capping materials and thus were stable in solution during several months after their synthesis. Gas chromatography-mass spectromety(GC-MS) analysis showed that the possible capping materials were hydrocarbons with high carbon numbers.
데이터베이스 품질 성숙도 모델 및 핵심 수준 영역 개발

오늘날 지식정보화 사회에서 정보품질은 국가, 기업이나 공공기관 등 각 조직의 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며 이로 인한 정보시스템의 데이터품질에 대한 중요성이 점점 높아지고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 높은 수준의 데이터 품질은 기업이나 조직의 생산성 향상, 역량의 강화, 비용의 감소, 구성원 사기 향상을 가져올 수 있는 반면, 낮은 수준의 데이터 품질은 고객만족도 하락, 높은 운영비용, 비효율적인 의사결정, 조직 전략 수행 지연 등의 조직 경쟁력 저하의 요인이 되어 각 조직의 여러 부분에 있어 부정적인 영향요인으로 작용하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 노력으로 데이터베이스 품질 개선을 위한 데이터베이스 품질 성숙도 모델(DQMM: Database Quality Maturity Model)과 ISO 9126에 근거하여 데이터베이스 품질평가 항목을 개발하였다. 또한 데이터베이스 품질 성숙도 모델의 핵심 레벨 영역 (KLA: Key Level Area)의 Goal과 핵심 실무 활동인 KP(Key Practices)를 개발하여 실세계 데이터베이스의 품질 관리 및 개선을 위한 지침서를 마련하였다. Today the quality of information plays a crucial role at each organization all over the nation, companies and public sectors in this knowledge information society and the importance of the data quality is getting more important. While higher level of data quality can produce the productivity increase of the organization, enforcement of capabilities, cost reduction and the enhancement of employees' morale, the lower level of it can cause the fall of customer satisfaction, high operational cost, inefficient decision making and the delay of organizational strategy implementation, and it may result in negative influencing factors in several departments in an organization. To give a solution to this kind of issue, we developed the assessment criteria of the database quality based on Data Quality Maturity Model(DQMM) and ISO 9126. In addition, we established a guide to the effective management and improvement of the real world database quality by developing the goal of Key Level Area (KLA) in assessment model and Key Practices (KP).
