On the Use of Simulated "Experimental" Data for Evaluation of Modal Analysis Methods

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of measurement errors. such as the mass loading effects or transducers. shaker/structure interaction, sign3l conditioning errors. signal processing .errors. etc. - on measurements of frequency response functions(FRFs) and on the modal parameters extracted from the FRFs. A computer program has been developed which can be used to simulate various measurement errors. The "experimental"' FRFs calculated using this simulation program can be used to test realistically the performance of different modal parameter identification programs and. thus. of the various applications to winch these modal data are put. including model updating.
유한요소해석을 이용한 TPMS용 압전 발전소자의 동특성 해석

Energy harvesting is a clean technology to obtain energy from the surrounding environment such as wind, sun, vibration and so on. In particular, the current TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Device) is very small and attached to the outside of a vehicle and power supply of the TPMS is limited. Therefore, energy harvesting using vibration energy of piezoelectric materials is important to the TPMS. In this paper, we analyzed several models using ANSYS which is one of the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) package and compared corresponding strain frequency response functions of the TPMS. In addition, we confirmed that dynamic characteristics variations according to geometry changes have effects on the performance of the TPMS.

Purpose: Neuropilin-2 is expressed by venous and lymphatic endothelial cells and can bind the lymphangiogenesis-associated ligand vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-C and D. Recently, neuropilin-2 was shown to play a role in lymph node metastasis and cancer promotion. The aim of this study was to determine the clinical relevance of neuropilin-2 expression in colorectal carcinomas. Methods: Immunohistochemical analysis of neuropilin-2 expression of 350 colorectal cancer samples was evaluated using tissue microarray. The relationship between neuropilin-2 expression and other clinicopathological variables were analyzed in colorectal carcinomas. To clarify the role of neuropilin-2 in colorectal cancer lymphangiogenesis, its expression was examined with VEGF-C, VEGF-D, and VEGF receptor 3 expression of the colorectal carcinomas. Results: Neuropilin-2 was detected in 176 of 350 colorectal carcinomas (50.3%). Overexpression of neuropilin-2 was correlated with lymph node metastasis (P=0.041) and VEGF-D expression (P=0.020), but was not correlated with TNM (tumor, node, metastasis) stage, other lymphangiogenic factor expression and survival colorectal cancer patients. Conclusion: Neuropilin-2 expression was correlated with lymph node metastasis and VEGF-D expression in colorectal carcinomas. Our results suggest a possible role of neuropilin-2 in lymphangiogenesis and cancer progression in colorectal carcinomas.
