        스테레오 비전을 이용한 저전력 적외선 멀티 터치스크린 컨트롤러의 설계

        Touch-enabled techNoogy is increasingly being accepted as a main communication interface between human and computers. However, conventional touchscreen techNoogies, such as resistive overlay, capacitive overlay, and SAW(Surface Acoustic Wave), are not cost-effective for large screens. As an alternative to the conventional methods, we introduce a newly emerging method, an optical imaging touchscreen which is much simpler and more cost-effective. Despite its attractive benefits, optical imaging touchscreen has to overcome some problems, such as heavy computational complexity, intermittent ghost points, and over-sensitivity, to be commercially used. Therefore, we designed a hardware controller for signal processing and multi-coordinate computation, and proposed Infrared-blocked DA(Dark Area) manipulation as a solution. While the entire optical touch control took 34㎳ with a 32-bit microprocessor, the designed hardware controller can manage 2 valid coordinates at 200fps and also reduce energy consumption of infrared diodes from 1.8Wh to 0.0072Wh. 최근 터치스크린 기술은 인간이 컴퓨터와 대화할 수 있는 주요 도구로서 급진적인 발전을 이루고 있다. 이 사용자 친화적인 인터페이스는 휴대폰에 이어 데스크탑, TV와 같은 대형스크린 시장까지 확산되어가고 있지만 기존의 저항막방식, 정전용량방식, 초음파방식 등은 기술 및 비용문제로 인하여 중·대형스크린에 적용하기 힘들다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 적외선과 라인스캔 이미지센서를 이용하여 간단하고 저렴한 비용으로 중·대형스크린에 적용할 수 있는 광학 영상 터치스크린 솔루션을 소개하고 이 기술이 갖는 문제점과 해결방안을 제시한다. 멀티 포인트를 추출하기 위한 주요 알고리즘은 범용프로세서를 이용하여 구현시 약 34㎳(29fps)가 소요되었으며 이는 휴먼인터페이스 디바이스로 사용되기에는 불충분하였다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 신호처리 및 좌표추출연산을 위한 하드웨어를 설계하여 성능을 향상시키고 광학 영상 터치스크린이 갖는 문제점을 소프트웨어에서 효율적으로 처리할 수 있도록 하였다. 설계한 터치스크린 컨트롤러의 PSM(Power Saving Mode)은 1.8Wh의 적외선 소비에너지를 0.0072Wh 까지 개선하였으며 60인치 대형스크린에서 2개의 실제 좌표를 200fps 속도로 연산해낸다.

        의원의 의료수익성 결정요인

        Medical clinics are core institutes that cover the primary medical care in Korea. Financial viability of the clinics is essential for them to conduct their roles and functions, and can be improved by increasing their operating profitability. On this ground, this study aimed at finding important factors that affect the operating profitability, and thereby at suggesting strategic alternatives that can contribute to the improvement of the profitability. Operating margin was set as a dependent variable, and such factors as general management conditions, number of visits, medical revenue, marketing activities, input resources, medical cost as independent variables. Nineteen hypotheses related to the variables were established and tested using data collected from 138 sample clinics for the year 2003. The results of the study are as follows: Firstly, such variables as percent ratio of the depreciation plus rent costs to total administration costs, type of clinical department manifested whether medical, surgical, or quasi-surgical, percent ratio of the interior facility investment to total fixed assets, and total number of outpatient visit are important factors that affect, positively or negatively, the medical profitability of the clinics. Secondly, following measures are needed to be established and implemented to improve the medical profitability. (1) Administration costs share 53.2% of the total medical costs, and depreciation plus rent costs 16.3% of the total administration costs. This implies that such measures as reinforcement of marketing activities, establishment of the cooperative utilizing system of the facility and equipment, or group practice are needed to increase cost-effectiveness. (2) Occupancy rate of the clinics with inpatient bed is as low as 45.5%, causing high fixed costs and low medical profitability. For its improvement, the resource input structure should be reorganized. Thirdly, in the future, a study that can increase sample representativeness of the study and explanation power of the variables should be performed for each type of clinical department to find more specific determinant factors and to contribute to the improvement of the medical profitability of the clinics.

      • 식물자원 활용 바이오 아디픽산 합성 공정 개발

        자동차용 엔지니어링 소재 분야에서는 나일론-66은 대표적인 소재로서 아디픽산(adipic acid)과 헥사메틸렌다이아민(HMDA)를 원료로 사용하여 제조되는 소재이다. DSM을 비롯한 해외 화학 업체들은 피마자유를 활용하는 방법으로 바이오 나일론 소재를 제조하는 기술을 개발하고 있고, 일부는 차량 부품에 적용되는 상황이다. 그러나 아직까지 바이오 나일론-66 소재의 원료 물질인 아디픽산을 바이오소스로부터 제조하는 기술은 완성이 안된 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 갈라토스, 글루코스를 출발물질로 하여 아디픽산 합성 공법을 보고하고자 한다.

      • Worksite Marketing 상품과 언더라이팅 기법

        Internally Korean insurance market is that whole life products' growth are becoming slowdown that's why new insurance products have appeared on the market in consideration of consumer's needs recently. Externally domestic insurance market competitions has drifted from insurance industry to whole financial industry since bankasurance started. Life insurance companies should open up a new market to survive from severe competitions. Worksite marketing can be an alternative. An insurer make arrangements with an employer about an insurance terms which an insurer offers in Worksite marketing. Then eligible individuals enroll in the plans at their own discretion and pay 100 percent of the premium for coverage through payroll deductions. An employer doesn't need to pay extra money for additional benefit but can raise employee's loyalty and satisfaction of company through worksite marketing. An employee can be covered at discounted premium rate and less strict underwriting guidelines to an insurer compared to individual insurance. In developed countries specially U.S insurance market, Worksite marketing is getting very popular and growing rapidly due to the advantages. Worksite marketing has both individual insurance characters and group insurance characters. Individual insurance characters are that employees enroll in the plans at their own discretion and pay 100 percent of the premium for coverage. Group insurance characters are that actively at work and participation etc. An insurer have to reflect these two characters on Worksite marketing when an insurance company work out a plan for developing products and underwriting guidelines. When an insurer devise worksite products, one should consider participation level which means percentage of eligible employees participating. Participation is related to anti-selection. As we know underwriting is essential for every kind of insurance, especially underwriting plays major role in worksite marketing. We can see that in the below. Firstly, it has a function in calculation of premium rate. When calculate premium rate for worksite products underwriters have to estimate expected participation level and risk factors. So underwriters and acturies keep in close contact with each other. Secondly, underwriting methods are important. When an insurer underwrite worksite products, there are three kinds of underwriting methods. These are Simplified issue underwriting, Full underwriting and Guaranteed issue underwriting. Simplified issue underwriting typically requires no medical examination, but usually requires supplying satisfactory answers to one or several health and/or lifestyle questions. Full underwriting requires a complete medical history questionnaire that may further require an exam. Guaranteed issue underwriting means that coverage is issued without the employee having to provide evidence of insurability. When insurer set the GI limit are usually based on the type of industry, number of eligible employees, the average amount of coverage and participation level. In addition to insurer should have a clear definition of eligible employee on the insurance provision and application form. It will minimize possibility of trouble claims and anti-selection. An insurer also establish preexisting condition exclusion and special guidelines for late entrants. When an insurer introduce Worksite marketing to Korean insurance market, an insurer has to examine market research to analyze potential market and strategy of sales most of all. Also an insurer should review real situation of the U.S, England and Japanese market etc. There are a lot of new technologies about worksite marketing process that an insurer should learn. When an insurer consider many things which we explained it can be a real alternative.
