Arleigh Burke(DDG-51) and Sejong warship are AEGIS destroyer of US Navy and Korea Navy. These are designed to make more than 30knots by applying a COGAG(COmbined Gas turbine And Gas turbine) system. However, the gas turbine(LM2500) in this system has a low SFC (Specific Fuel Consumption) when the warship operated low speed. So, many kinds of companies are researching the HED(Hybrid Electric Drive) system to improve this problem. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the HED system and simulate by Sejong warship data. Serveral methods were used for that purpose. More specifically, the equipment modeling are employed for regression analysis by LabVIEW. As a result, it was found that the warship installed HED system could cut their fuel bills by as much as about 80,000,000won per year.

A various ocean facilities are operating on the sea such as buoy, lighthouse, sea mark and drilling facility. Generally, buoy is the most inferior power condition fur operation, because it is received the electric power from stand-alone power system like solar system. The solar system fur buoy is influenced by weather condition, so the terms of power system design is very complicated. This power problem fer buoy is solved with solar and wave hybrid system. In this case, the output of wave system is reduced by marine life like mussels, barnacles and etc. This paper describes electronic anti-fouling system design for preventing the efficiency reduction of wave system in hybrid system.
LoG 영상을 이용한 복잡한 구름 배경에서의 적외선 영상 추적 기법

In this paper, infrared image tracking techniques on complex cloud background is proposed. At the first, we determine size of target window using binary image, and then calculate sum of all pixel in the window while sliding on the absolute LoG(Laplacian of Gaussian) image. Each calculated result is mapped to a pixel of a sum map. By selecting the coordinates having the maximum value in the map determines the coordinates of target window. By implementation of infrared image tracking simulator, we confirmed stable tracking on complex cloud background.

본 연구에서는 기존에 개발된 GIS 기반의 분포형 강우유출모형(K-DRUM)이 대유역에서 많은 계산시간을 요구하는 단점이 있기 때문에 이를 개선하기 위하여 MPI(Message Passing Interface)기법을 적용한 병렬 K-DRUM모형을 개발하였다. K-DRUM 모형은 홍수기동안의 지표흐름과 지표하 흐름의 시간적 변화와 공간적 분포를 모의할 수 있으며, 전처리과정으로서 ArcView를 이용하여 모형에 필요한 ASCII형태의 입력 매개변수 자료들을 가공하였다. 개발된 병렬 K-DRUM 모형을 이용하여 남강댐유역에서 2006년 태풍 ‘에위니아’ 사상을 대상으로 다양한 영역분할을 통한 유출계산 검토를 하였다. 영역분할 개수에 따른 병렬화 효과를 검토하기 위하여 분할 개수를 1개에서 25개까지 증가시키며 클러스터 시스템에서 유출모의를 수행하였다. 모의결과 영역분할 개수가 증가할수록 컴퓨터 메모리의 개수가 감소하게 되고, 이에 따라 모의수행시간 역시 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 본 연구에서 영역분할 계산방식을 채택함에 따라 영역의 접합부분에서 발생 가능한 유출량 계산오차를 최소화하기 위한 기법을 제시하였다. 유출량 계산오차 발생을 최소화하기 위해서는 단위 계산시간당 영역간 정보교환과 내부유출량 계산을 최소 3회 반복하여야 함을 알 수 있었다. In this paper, the parallel distributed rainfall runoff model(K-DRUM) using MPI(Message Passing Interface) technique was developed to solve the problem of calculation time as it is one of the demerits of the distributed model for performing physical and complicated numerical calculations for large scale watersheds. The K-DRUM model which is based on GIS can simulate temporal and spatial distribution of surface flow and sub-surface flow during flood period, and input parameters of ASCII format as pre-process can be extracted using ArcView. The comparison studies were performed with various domain divisions in Namgang Dam watershed in case of typoon 'Ewiniar' at 2006. The numerical simulation using the cluster system was performed to check a parallelization effectiveness increasing the domain divisions from 1 to 25. As a result, the computer memory size reduced and the calculation time was decreased with increase of divided domains. And also, the tool was suggested in order to decreasing the discharge error on each domain connections. The result shows that the calculation and communication times in each domain have to repeats three times at each time steps in order to minimization of discharge error.

This paper describes independent 6-phase BLDC motor which has a characteristic among BLDC motor used for electric propulsion system. Independent 6-phase BLDC motor has characteristics that phases of stator is independent electrically with each other and the phase of stator has more than 3 phases. We conducted simulation on independent 3-phase BLDC motor to analyze a characteristic of 6-phase BLDC motor. It is found that independent 3-phase BLDC motor has lower current pulsation and more stability in emergency situation than independent 6-phase BLDC motor.

Open R&D as new R&D methodology is becoming more important. The reasons are expanding the scope of IT industry, converging IT and other technologies as bio, nano, energy, environment, construction and so on, increasing the variety and scope IT needs, and intensifying the complexity of IT technologies. For such reasons, it is a urgent problem to make a new R&D system and R&D process under the economical, technological and political changes. To create a whole life cycle of open R&D system in NIS, researchers deeply understand the relationship of research activities such as planning, market survey, technologies, standards, and business model. We study on the cases of open innovation in public R&D sector. According to case studies, R&D in public sector will be changed efficiently as requested. R&D in public sector activity will be opened and collaborate with others such as universities, firms, and foreigner researchers. In this paper, we suggest the change`s directions of public R&D sector; (1) set up the new open concept and mind in R&D institutes, (2) the efficient R&D funding methods, and (3) openness in R&D platform. While we are encountering the new paradigm such as convergence and open R&D, this research will contribute to effectively create future R&D competitiveness. Also, the recommendation of new R&D system will be contributed to improve national innovation system and national wealth in the future.
