        제주도 女大生의 衣服行動과 價値觀과의 相關硏究

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between clothing behaviors and general values of Che-ju college women. General values were measured by The Allport-Vernon-Lindzey Study of Value, which determines the relative prominence of six basic values. General clothing behaviors were assessed by statements dealing with interests in status symbol, fashion and practicality of clothing. Measures of attitudes toward blue jeans consists of: attitudes regarding practicality and youth symbol. In addition the possession, and frequency of wearing blue jeans were assessed. The sample consisted of 284 students in Che-ju college women, Korea. The data, collected by means of a self-administered questionnaire, were analyzed by correlations and t-tests. The results indicate that: 1) Economic value was positively related to the status symbol of clothing. 2) No correlation was found between political value and the fashion of clothing. 3) Social value was positively related to the practicality of clothing, however, no correlation was found between social value and attitudes regarding practicality of blue jeans. 4) Practicality attitudes toward blue jeans was positively related to the practicality of clothing, whereas youth symbol attitudes toward blue jeans was positively related to the fashion and the status symbol of clothing. 5) The groupth which had blue jeans had higher interest of fashion in clothing than the groupth which had no blue jeans.

        데님(Denim)의복을 중심으로 한 여대생의 의복행동에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation of attitudes and usage of denim cloth-ing to masculinity femininity, attitudes toward women's role, and four aspects of clothing interests. Masculinity-femininity was assessed by The Fe Scale of the California Psychological Inventory. Attitudes toward women's role was measured by selected items from The Inventory of Feminine Values and The Sex Ideology Scale. Measures of attitudes toward denim clothing consisted of: 1) attitudes regarding practicality and youth symbol, 2) possession, and 3) frequency of wearing denim clothing. Four aspects of clothing interests in general were assessed by statements dealing with choice of design, conformity-individuality, fashion and practicality in clothing. The sample consisted of 388 students in Sookmyung Women's University in Seoul, Korea. The data, collected by means of a self-administered questionnaire, were analyzed by correlation. The results indicate that: 1) Masculinity-femininity was related to youth symbol attitudes, possession, and frequency of wear-ing denim clothing. 2) Attitudes toward women's role was related to practicality attitudes, and frequency of wearing denim clothing. 3) Practicality attitudes toward denim clothing was related to conformity-individuality, and practicality in clothing. 4) Youth symbol attitudes toward denim clothing was related to fashion in clothing. 5) Possession of denim clothing was related to fashion and the choice of design in clothing. 6) Frequency of wearing denim clothing was related to the choice of design, and conformity-individuality in clothing.

      • 장 폴 고티에 (Jean-Paul Gaultier)가 현대 패선에 준 영향에 관한 연구 : 아방가르드와 표현주의 개념을 중심으로 Based on Avantgarde and Fantastic Expressionism

        This cultural change greatly helped to create an avant-garde fashion style which is characterized by nonconformity and diversity. Therefore, to study the most noticeable forerunner in avant-garde fashion style, Jean Paul Gautier, and his works will be equivalent to having insight on the most important trend of modern fashion, besides it will clarify his influence on modern fashion and strategy for his brand popularization. Because the aesthetic characteristics of Gautier fashion can be explained as expressionism, a study on the modern fashion in view of expressionism will be performed and the aesthetic value of Gautier fashion will be found in modern fashion trend from aspects of exotism, sexual liberalization, and fantastic grotesqueness. Gautier's exotism is to adopt exotic techniques from different fashion including traditional clothes, anachronistic style, and plebeian culture. Fantastic grotesqueness of Gautier fashion is lying on his design concept which creates an silly and humourous ambience, and it relinquishes all regularity to gain eccentricity. In this paper, avant-garde characteristics of Gautier fashion will be categorized into nonconformity, sexual image, and combination of heterogeneous things. Avant-garde disconnects itself completely from all existing customs and traditions, for it can be called as 'anti-art for anti art'. Creating genderlessness in clothes, challenging any existing prejudice on models, and radical design overthrowing traditional clothing shows nonconformity. And turning underwear out and using delicate religious theme in fashion show indicates his desire for challenging any taboo. Avant-garde style will lead future fashion trend by various techniques and features adopting many heterogeneous fashion styles adapted to itself.

      • 구스타프 클림트(Gustav Klimt)의 작품에 나타난 에로티시즘에 의한 창작 디자인 연구

        In 19th, Europe was in the optimistic mood due to the progress of science and technology. This trend made science, instead of philosophy, the center of learning. Also, due to this trend, a natural scientific view of the world had an influence on philosophy or history. This progressive attitude that was centered in science made life convenient. But, it brought the problem, 'the loss of human nature'. Finally, with antipathy against this dehumanized value, a movement to restore the mental value of the human arose in each field. Coincidently, this movement had an influence on literature, music and art and it was shown in various forms in several fields. At that time, Gustav Klimt was criticized as a decadent artist. Freud had said, "Eros is the one of the most important things for all kinds of art and is the source which creates art, the unconscious ego." Artists choose Eros to blow off their unconscious desire or to satirize their society. Klimt found the intense purity and beauty from things regarded decadent by other people. It was that which enabled him to find the intense purity and beauty: his unique insight into woman's eroticism and sensuousness, his sense of the times and his ability that allowed him to represent his sense. In this study, two points shall be shown; the influence of eroticism at the contemporary time through analyzing the meaning of eroticism and the correlation between eroticism shown in the modern fashion and Klimt's paintings. Also, with the two points, creative clothes are made, reflecting the features of Klimt's performance. Klimt viewed the existence of 'feminine feature' underlying in all kinds of human nature and the existence of women with his sensitive eyes. His paintings of women are the accomplishment that exposes the truth of women and further the eyes of modern society toward the truth of human in the view of the pioneer. In the modern society, eroticism in fashion is the one of means to express beauty. And Klimt is the model who sublimated the eroticism as beauty. Eroticism in fashion should be the means to express an aesthetic beauty, not the means to merely emboss suggestive sex.

      • 성인여성의 의복디자인 선호도와 의복태도에 관한 연구 : 신체적조건을 중심으로

        The purpose of this study was to investigate of the preference of women's clothing design and attitudes in clothing among women. For this study, the preference of clothing design scales were developed by line drawings. It was studied in the area of : 1) the preference of the fashion design in the dresses and the suits. 2) the preference of the ornament in the shirts and the blouses. Four aspects of clothing attitudes have been assessed with the self-esteem, the fashion interest, the colour interest and the accessories interest. The self-esteem ad fashion interest were assessed by Sin, Kahng questionaire. Another two aspects of clothing attitudes dealing with the colour and the accessories interest were developed by this study. The sample consisted of 433 women in Seoul, Korea. The data, carried out by means of the preference of women's clothing design and attitudes in clothing, the self-administered questionaire, were analyzed by using chi-square(X²), t-test, one way analysis of variance(ANOVA). The results were follows: 1. In the case of dresses, the special typed woman, who is very much skinny or fat, is disposed to cover the weakness of their body conditions. 2. In the case of suits, partly the preference of the jacket length is exhibited differently according to the body condition. Generally the preference of the suit design has a tendency to be affected with their personal height. 3. The preference in wearing the ornament of the shirts and blouses is not inclined to be affected with their body condition. 4. In the survey of the attitudes in women's clothing, the concern about the self-esteem in dressing, the colour, the fashion and the accessories has a growing tendency. The analyzed results according to the body condition are as follows : the skinny women have a high interest about the self-esteem and fashion, the standard typed women about the colour and the fat women about the accessories. 5.In the case of the dress design, the woman who is favorite the design showing the slim figure has a raising inclination in fashion. 6.In the survey of the concern about fashion by the age, the twenty and forty age has a high intereat in fashion but the thirty age has a declining tendency in fashion.

      • 물려받은 學齡期 兒童衣服의 認識에 관한 硏究

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between elementary school children's hand-me-down garments and clothing behaviors. Hand-me-down garments were assessed by statements dealing with children's awareness, preference, frequency of wearing, possession of clothing and hand-me-down garments possession. Clothing behaviors were assessed by statements dealing with interest in satisfactory and conformity-individuality of clothing. The sample consisted of 565 students in Jeju elementary school children, Korea. All 565 elementary school children in Jeju were divided into 4 district groups; downtown, 2 outskirts and in betweens. The data, collected by means of a self-administered questionaire, were analyzed by chi-square. The results indicated that: (1) Though most children were satisfied with their hand-me-down garments, girls had higher satisfied with hand-me-down garments than boys. But lower income class not satisfied with their hand-me-down garments. (2) Girls favored attire while boys favored side in hand-me-down garments. (3) Most children were signified comfo.1 of clothing without difference sex, socioeconomic status. (4) Children were clearly aware of their favorite colors and hated ones; there were significant difference according to sex, socioeconomic status. Boys prefered yellow, blue, pink and girls prefered pink, yellow, light green. All boys and girls hated purple.

      • 연애인의 유행스타일 선호도에 따른 유행선도력 및 의복태도 연구

        The purpose of this study is 1) to investigate the preference of entertainers for fashion styles and the corresponding difference between their fashion leadership and the wearing attitude and 2) to figure out the differences in wearing attitude of entertainers, who are divided into 3 groups : group with high fashion leadership, group with middle leadership, and with low leadership. To deal with the subject matter, a combination of the theoretical study and positive study has been used. For the positive study, entertainers working in KBS, MBC, and SBS have been interviewed and given the question , which had been revised and up dated through the preliminary survey, and a total of 97 copies of questionnaires, excluding those with incomplete answers, were processed for statistics. The summary stronger of the study result is as follows : 1) As a result of the preference study, entertainers showed stronger preference for the Casual, Classic and Sexy Casual Style but mostly the preference was even over the whole styles. Male entertainers preferred the Class style the most and females had the strongest preference for the Sexy Casual style. Males and females liked the Casual and Sexy Casual style in common. 2) As a result of the analysis on the relation between the fashion leadership and wearing attitude, the group preferring the Romantic Elegance style had high fashion opinion leadership group preferring the Soft Dandy style were much interested in the ornaments on the wardrobe. Also, the group putting preference on the Sexy Casual style had interest in the practicality of clothes, while those who like the Classic style were greatly concerned with the chastity and practicality of the wearing. Meanwhile, those who preferred the Casual and Modern Ethnic styles had no relationship with the causes of the variated fashion leadership and clothing attitude. 3) As a result of the analysis of the relationship between the 3 groups with different leadership and the clothing attitude, the practicality was weighed by those who have lowest leadership, rather than by those with medium and high leadership. For the ornamentality, the interest was strong in the order of those with strongest leadership, those with weaker leadership and those with weakest leadership, indicating that those with weakest leadership had the lowest interest in the ornamentality. The chastity of the wardrobe had low relevance with the fashion leadership on the whole, and those with the lowest leadership and with the weaker leadership weighed the chastity a little bit more than those with strongest fashion leadership.

      • 패션 트랜드에 나타난 퓨전스타일 연구

        As the diversity and plurality of social structure has transformed the minds of consumers, the 21st century' fashion puts much importance to the individual preference of self-satisfaction. Fusion points to a social phenomenon reflecting the characteristics of this age and its materials are subject to changes in accordance with the common trends of a society or the atmosphere of this age, Fusion is possessed of the unique indications of the times, trying to become merged with other factors for one factor only cannot face the changes and shocks of this age. So the phenomenon of fusion should be examined from the aspects of its management and social culture as well as its environment in consideration of the fact that fusion is based on the desire of an individual, a real consumer. The researcher systemizes theories on fashion trends and fusion phenomenon, inspecting the fusion images of 1999 S/S-2001 S/S Fashion Trends, and analyzes designers' works and explores the characteristics of fusion fashion. The findings of the research can be summarized as follows. First, as anxiety is connected with needs for diversity and freshness due to the confusing and complicated social phenomena of the end of the 20th century and the new Millenium, a variety of factors in society al integrated and combined into fusion culture with a view to meeting such needs. Second, the features of fusion styles appearing in the 21st century can be classified into five categories. ① The phenomenon of the genderless harmony between men and women acts as part of attempts at recovering the nature of human beings and overcoming the crisis of the end of the 20 century when established value collapsed by means of making the dual aspects of human beings coexist. Costumes are utilized to create new feelings on the basis of a combination of the beauty of man and woman without negating the features of each sex. ② Fusion styles are characterized by the harmony of the East and the West. This zen style comes from the movement of human beings turning their interest to the inner world after being confronting with the limits of materialism and scientific civilization. That is, those fed up with excessive materialism are eager to turn to the spiritual culture of the East for a countermeasure. ③ The timeless harmony between the past and the future is highlighted in search of newness with the view of breaking away from the stress and busy routines of modern civilization and of satisfying the needs of human beings for calm scenery. ④ The cultureless harmony between superior culture and inferior culture is utilized for fashion designers to get inspiration from the latter and to spread the poverty-based images of their works to the upper class of society. In this context, hippies, punks and grungy look, or what not come to the fore. This study will hopefully serve as basic materials to predict the fashion style of the future by making study of the 21st century's fusion phenomenon. This study is designed to look at the phenomenon from various angles and to contribute to the development of design and the fashion industry by planning, manufacturing and presenting fusion design capable of satisfying the needs of customers. It is necessary that the collections of foreign and domestic designers should be analyzed in order to grope for the future orientation of the Korean fashion industry.

      • 1990년대 현대 패션의 흐름을 통해 고찰한 패션 스타일에 관한 연구 : 1990∼1995년의 여자복식을 중심으로

        Recent ecology fashion, ethnic fashion, grunge fashion, neo-hippie fashion, historicism fashion, street fashion and retro fashion styles is comming back a romantic and elegant styles in 1990's. The Purpose of this study is to help forecast the fashion style by grasping the characteristics of the 1990-1995's modern fashion. As for the analysis of the 1990-1995's modern fashion pertinent documents were used and as for fashion styles both domestic and foreign fashion magazines and newspaper articles with which modern dresses are much inspired were used. The factors that influenced the creative fashion style of 1990-1995's modern fashion are summarized as follows : fashion style of 1〕 ecology fashion appeared heidi look and primitive look 2〕 ethnic fashion appeared chinoiserie look and African look 3〕 grunge fashion appeared grunge look and hoodlum look 4〕 neo-hippie fashion appeared neo-hippies look and punk look 5〕 historicism fashion appeared aseceticism look 6〕 street fashion appeared school girl look and preppy look 7〕 retro fashion appeared courre`ges look, cosmo-corps look and Mondrian look It must be acknowledged that the analysis of the products was very much limited because instead of actual objects only documents, pictures and photographs have been used. As a result of the above we can understand that the 1990-1995's modern fashion have influenced the fashion style.
