Corrugated 정사각형 도파관 구조를 이용한 85~115 GHz 90도 위상천이기 개발

86 GHz 대역 VLBI(Very Long Baseline Interferometry) 이중원형 편파 관측에 사용되는 90도 위상천이기를 Corrugated 정사각형 도파관 구조를 이용하여 개발하였다. 이 90도 위상천이기는 정사각형 도파관 내부에 Corrugation 구조를 만들어 정사각형 도파관을 통과한 수직, 수평 편파의 위상차이가 85~115 GHz 대역에서 90± 3.3도 이내가 되도록 설계하였고, 제작 후 측정 결과는 위 주파수 대역에서 반사 손실과 삽입 손실이 각각 17 dB, 0.25dB 이하이고 Axial ratio는 0.6 dB 이하이다. A 90-deg phase shifter using corrugated square waveguide structure for 86 GHz band VLBI(Very Long Baseline Interferometry) dual-circular polarization observation has been developed. The 90-deg phase shifter was designed to have two corrugated walls inside the square waveguide so that the vertically and horizontally polarized waves at the output port have phase differences of 90±3.3 deg across 85~115 GHz. Measurements show that the return and insertion losses for the both polarizations are better than 17 dB and 0.25 dB, respectively. The axial ratio is estimated to be less than 0.6 dB within the required frequency band.

Trichonodosis(knotted hair) is a disorder of the hair shaft that can comprise a single or double knot. Reports of trichonodosis are not cornmon in dermatological literature, but it is generally considered not to be rare. Two varieties of trichonodosis have been described. A rare type occurs in association with abnormally growing scalp and body hair that tends to splinter and fracture. A more comrnon form occurs when normal hair is subjected to rnechanical forces, such as combing and brushing. Trichonodosis occurs exclusively in persons with curly or kinky hair. We report a patient with short, straight hair and trichonodosis. The most likely cause in our patient is trauma as a result of continual rubbing of hairs. (Korean J Dermatol 1997;35(6): 1241-1243)
진피내 멜라닌세포성 병변에서 Integrin 표현과 아포프토시스 세포에 관한 연구

Background: Many mammals normally have a population of dermal melanocytes but these are not found in man, In humans, persistent dermal melanocytes can occur in the Mongolian spot, the nevus of Ota, and the blue nevus. Mongolian spot develops in the fetal or neonatal time and disapperars almost invariably during childhood. In contrast, nevus of Ota and blue nevus are not usually present at birth and persists in adult life. Recently, it was established that apoptosis can be involved in the development of melanocytes. The integrins mediate cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, and apoptosis can be induced by disruption of cell-matrix interactions. Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression of integrins (a2 , a3 , ar) and in situ detection of fragmented DNA in Mongolian spot, nevus of Ota, and blue nevus. Methods : Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded tissues from 8 cases of Monglian spot, 5 cases of nevus of Ota, and 4 cases of blue nevus were immunolabelled with monoclonal antibodies TM directed against az, ay, and av integrin, and stained with ApopTag in situ using an Apoptosis Detection kit. The cases of Mongolian spot were divided into two groups in which group A represented the the cases of more than 45 melanocytes and group B represented the cases of less than 10 melanocytes in a tissue section of 4-mm taken from punch biopsy specimens. Results: Blue nevi showed az and e integrin expressions in dermal melanocytes and weak to negative staining of g v integrin in comparison with all positive expressions of a z, a s, and g y integrin in A group-Mongolian spots and nevi of Ota. The B group-Mongo]ian spots showed the continuous expressions of a z and a y integrin with negative expressions of a v integrin. The ApopTag kit staining was all negative in the Mongolian spots, nevi of Ota, and blue nevi. Conclusion . Our results support the view that dermal melanocytic tumors, such as the Mongolian spot, the nevus of Ota, and the blue nevus, might be induced by the disturbance or inhibition of the apoptotic process of the melanocytes, and that the spontaneous disappearance of the Mongolian spot may not be related to the apoptosis. Clinically adult-onset xanthogranuloma is somewhat different to that of juvenile xanthogranuloma. There seems to be no definitive sites of predilection and concomitant extracutaneous lesions, and spontaneous resolution does not occur in the adult form. The lesions of the adult form are usually asymmetric or solitary. We describe an adult with a solitary xanthogranuloma on the left shoulder. Histological findings of this case show minor differences from juvenile xanthogranuloma but immunohistochemical findings were very similar to those of juvenile xanthogranuloma. A fiber-optic reference signal transmission system, which transmits the 1.4 GHz reference signal from H-maser to receiver cabin in radio telescopes, was adopted for compensating the phase changes due to temperature variation and antenna movement. At the first experiment, the remote signal's phase changed more than 15 degrees at 1.4 GHz. We found unstable components in sub-system experiments and replaced them. The main cause of unstable phase stability was the unaligned polarization axis between Laser Diode and Mach-Zehnder Modulator (MZM). The improved system stability showed $1{\times}10^{-16}$ allan standard deviation at 1,000 sec integration time with the antenna fixed. When the antenna moves in the azimuth axis, the 1.4 GHz remote signal showed the phase change smaller than 0.2 degrees.

밀리미터파 및 서브 밀리미터파 전파천문학용 전파망원경은 주로 카세그레인 형태의 안테나를 사용한다. 다양한 전파천문학 연구를 위해서 한 개의 카세그레인 안테나에 여러 개의 수신대역을 갖는 수신기가 설치된다. 한 개 이상의 수신 대역을 관측하기 위해서는 여러 개의 수신기가 우주전파를 관측할 수 있는 빔 가이딩 시스템이 반드시 필요하게 된다. 이러한 빔 가이딩 시스템은 가우시안 빔 전송이론을 기반으로 준광학 회로로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 가우시안 빔의 간략한 전송이론을 기반으로 한 가우시안 빔의 변환 방법과 가우시안 빔을 전송하기 위한 빔 전송회로 설계 기법을 제시한다. 이 설계기법을 이용하여 카세그레인 안테나에 적용되는 가우시안 빔 회로 설계와 설계 결과를 기술한다. 마지막으로 준광학 회로 구성부품인 타원면경, 유전체 렌즈 및 혼의 제원 결정에 대하여 기술한다. 제안된 방법을 이용하면 카세그레인 안테나 빔 가이딩 시스템을 간단히 설계할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. A radio telescope which has been dominantly used for millimeter and submillimeter wave radio astronomy is a cassegrain antenna. A various receivers with specified observing bandwidths are installed on cassegrain antenna so as to carry out to investigate a diverse radio astronomy. A beam guiding system should be required so that a various receiver can be conducted their own observational frequency bands. The beam guiding system based on Gaussian beam transmission theory consists of quasi-optical circuit used such ellipsoidal mirror, dielectric lens and feed horn. In this paper, not only Gaussian beam transformations based on Gaussian beam theory are presented, but also design techniques for quasi-optical circuit are given. By using proposed design techniques, both Gaussian beam quasi-optical circuits to be used for cassegrain antenna and design results are also described. Properties of key focusing elements such ellipsoidal mirror and dielectric lens and feed horn are also discussed. It is expected that beam guiding system to be applied cassegrain antenna could be easily designed by using proposed design techniques.
