Recently, as insulation standards in apartment houses has become the strength, application of high-performance PC system is inevitable for reducing building energy consumption. But this method could cause still the many problems such as thermal bridges. For the purpose of high-performance PC system development with minimize thermal bridge, we analyzed heat transfer performance through type of material, shapes and properties of PC system.

Recently, as insulation standard in apartment houses has been reinforced, there is a growing need to develop high-insulation envelope system. A great deal of research is being carried out to develop these systems, but they have many problems such as a thermal bridge, rising cost and construction delay. Thus, we developed prototypes of high-performance PC as outside insulation system and conducted to evaluate and analyze the heat transfer performance (equivalent thermal transmittance and linear thermal transmittance) for improvement. The results indicate that the shape of prototype and insulation-supporting fins influence the energy performance.
