In this study, LNG FSRU(Floating Storage Regasification Unit)-type combined cycle power plant is newly designed, and the fuel gas supply system for improving the efficiency of the whole power plant is proposed. LNG FSRU-type power plant is the new concept of a combined cycle power plant, which has large LNG storage tanks in itself. This conceptual model is named “LNG FSPP(Floating and Storage Power Plant)”. The plant is designed to be built in the well controlled manufacturing sites like shipyards and aimed at being installed at several remote islands worldwide and some regions with lack of sufficient natural gas infrastructure. The design of power plant system, LNG containment system, fuel gas supply system, water supply & condensing system and utility system is carried out. In the newly proposed fuel gas supply system, LNG is totally vaporized using the steam exhausted out of the steam turbine. The heat exchanger system is verified through the computational experiment using commercial process simulator.

This paper presents the analytical prediction of stability lobes in milling. The stability lobes are obtained by measuring the frequency response function (FRF) of a machining center at the end of the end mill, identifying cutting constants, and approximating cutting force coefficients. The stability lobes are experimentally verified through cutting tests.

The prediction of chatter stable region is a significant requirement for the manufacturing industry. Usually, the chatter stability lobes are obtained by measuring the frequency response function(FRF) of a machining center using impulse test or exciter test. However, these tests are not only spent much time, but also performed after machining center is manufactured. This paper presents virtual FRF using by F.E.M for the prediction of chatter stable region. The proposed method enables a designer to estimate the chatter resistance of machine tools at the early stage of design.

In order to assay the efficacy of newly synthesized antiviral compounds, pyrimidine analogs, pharmacokinetics of those were established as compared with already marketed zidovudine. Zidovudine (15, 20, 25 and 35 ㎎/㎏), LJ142 (18.52 ㎎/㎏) and LJ143 (15, 18.52 and 30 ㎎/㎏) were administered orally and intravenously in rats, blood samples were collected post-injection(i.e., for 360 min) at appropriate time intervals. Those were analyzed by HPLC with UV detection at 265 ㎚. Pharmacokinetic parameters (C_max, T_(1/2) MRT, AUC, AUMC, Vd_ss, Cl_t) were calculated. AUCs of zidovudine and LJ143 following I.V. dosing of 15∼25 ㎎/㎏ and 15∼18.18 ㎎/㎏ were dose-independent, However, AUCs of zidovudine and LJ143 following I.V. dosing of 25∼35 ㎎/㎏ and 18.18∼30 ㎎/㎏ were dose-dependent. The relative bioavailability of zidovudine, LJ142 and LJ143 following oral administration were 61.94, 46.44 and 78.24%, respectively.
