Various new transportation methods are being developed and introduce in Korea. Among them, the urban railway system has also introduced a variety of urban railway systems such as HRT, LRT, Monorails, and Maglev. Currently, many local goverment are hoping to introduce urban railway. In selecting the urban railway system, the cost of construction and the advantages and disadvantages of railway vehicles are given top priority. Although the operating cost is predicted based on the cost estimate presented in the preliminary feasibility study at the time of the operation plan of the urban railway, there are many differences from the actual operation cost. The purpose of this study is to estimate the operating cost of urban railway system introduction in the future through analyzing the actual operation cost through the official financial statements of the operating agencies of each city railway vehicles system.

Spacing between the metropolitan area urban railway platform and the vehicle reached a maximum 260mm, this has become a cause of foot missing accident of vulnerable road users such as people with disabilities and children. The maximum distance between the platform and the vehicle, which was opened in March 2006 Daejeon Metropolitan Express Transit Corporation Pan"am Station is 16.2cm. Building in order to prevent the foot missing accident of vulnerable road users due to these intervals, set up a folding automatic safety scaffolding system of the interval is wide eight locations of the vehicle in July 2016, the distance between the vehicle and platform to 3cm below did. This has become a help in the management of a safer city railway for vulnerable road users, such as people with disabilities and children.

Urban rail system has a variety of engineering and system such as machinery, electronics, electric power and so on, in which those of them are linked to each other as one in order to provide a safe and convenient transportation. A stable and safety operation is number one priority to provide a good quality service and to meet passengers’ needs. A shortage of duration of all the system belong to rail system due to 24 hours operating requires high cost of maintenance and operation, of which situation can affect stability. It is one of the best option to organize an independent department repairing and conducting on PCB, which is electronically damaged, malfunctioning and so on. This study has been struggling to verify cost-down effect on operation by specializing in PCB only within a company authorized department and to introduce how to build facilities and groups for self-repairing PCB.
