        치유공간 내 식물 적정 생육환경과 바이오필릭 디자인요소 관계성 연구 - 세브란스 병원 우리 라운지 사례를 중심으로 -

        This study is grounded on the perspective of biophilic design that promotes a healing environment by integrating humans and nature and believes that biophilic design implemented in the healing space is related to the growth environment of plants and can present complementary points. Therefore, the relationship between maintaining the growth environment of plants in space and biophilic design was identified, and the problems of case space and future directions were discussed. Severance Hospital's <Woori Lounge>, the largest healing garden built in domestic medical facilities, was limited to an analysis case and went through an on-site investigation process. The suitability of the growth environment was evaluated based on the overview of the plants planted in the case space, followed by the evaluation of the Biophilic design application of the case space, a detailed analysis was prepared, and the conclusion was presented. First, in order to compensate for the problems of the growth environment, it is necessary to ensure openness in the area, to be adjacent to the openings and exhaust ports, and to maintain a certain distance from the wall. Second, the frequency of use of natural materials should be increased in order to promote interaction between plants planted nearby and to mimic the external environment, and water space should be included, especially in locations adjacent to plants. Third, it is necessary to diversify the types of planting and arrangement according to the crown layer. When low-rise planting is actively used, it is possible to maintain temperature and humidity and improve the degree of application of Biophilic design.

        패턴랭귀지를 적용한 콜라텍 공간의 특성 분석

        The purpose of this study is to analyze and visualize thespatial characteristics of Collatechs, social leisure space for the elderly. For this, the network of pattern language was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The study was conducted through a series of literature reviews, interviews, and network analysis using Ghepi. First, the Collatech cases were decomposed and reconstructed into small units called patterns. Patterns selected from the 253 original patterns suggested by Alexander were used or transformed, and new patterns were added. Next, a pattern language network diagram was constructed. Finally, the spatial characteristics of the Collatechs were analyzed by a thorough examination of the networks. The results of the network analysis are as follows. According to the betweenness centrality analysis of 47 patterns (13 original patterns, 14 transformed patterns, and 20 added patterns), ‘Stage(255)’, ‘Paths And Goals(120)’, ‘Sequence Of Sitting Spaces(142)’, ‘Space Arrangement Considering Privacy(127)’ showed high betweenness centrality values meaning the main patterns within the network of pattern language. CONCLUSION: Based on the results of the network analysis, we are able to describe the spatial and functional characteristics of Collatechs from four perspectives: stage, the discussion on the characteristics of the Collatech space is as follows. The stage of Collatech (i) is not only a “dance space”, but also serves as a space for rest by seats arranged along the wall of the stage (ii) serves as intermediary space by being connected to the waiting room or store directly. (iii) makes the elderly on the stage feel like they are in a short corridor through such furniture and space arrangement.

        1930년대 소설 속에 나타난 경성의 도시공간적 특성이 반영된 시민일상연구 - 경성의 중심부의 공간 특성을 인용한 소설 속 공간과 일상을 대상으로

        This study aims to investigate the relationship between the characteristics of architecture and urban space that formed the urban landscape of the colonial city ‘Gyeongseong’ in the 1930s and 'everyday life' of those living in the city at that time. In colonial period, there was coexistence of ‘non-everyday life’ and ‘everyday life’. Studying everyday life of this period makes it possible to find a "gap in everyday life" that was not known from a macro perspective. In addition, it is meaningful to reconstruct history through everyday life of ordinary people who lived in that age as an individual rather than as a nation. It is difficult to find the scenery and everyday life of the 1930s in current Seoul, where landscapes of various eras are mixed due to the rapid development brought since the early 1900s. For this reason, this study used novels written by the eyes of that era as research data. A total of 75 sentences related to urban spaces of Gyeongseong were extracted from 9 novels published in the 1930s, and these are compared with the urban spatial characteristics of Gyeongseong classified from macro perspective. Although the landscape was formed by the modernisation and urban planning implemented by Japan, ordinary people generally used whole Gyeongseong as their daily space. And the influence of capital on people's everyday life was stronger than the plan for colonial rule. In addition, there were people who lost their way in modernised city and felt the tragedy of the era. Finally, the simultaneous changes and newly introduced cultures led to introduce of a new space, but those who lived at that time were able to see that they were surviving beyond their everyday life as a matter of survival.

        성수동 골목 카페에 표현된 뉴트로와 레트로 현상에 대한 비교 연구

        Recently, a new trend called Newtro has emerged as areas that had collapsed without overcoming the storms of time have been revived. Those in their 10s and 20s are the ones who visit old and shabby places. Why did they visit these places and find out the difference between the alternative Newtro and Retro through cafe facades in Yeonmung-gil, Seongsu-dong. People’s interest in cafes is evolving into a new place where Nutro and cafes meet in line with the new trend. And at the center of this trend is Yeonmung-gil in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The underdeveloped and marginalized area has been reborn and spread through word of mouth and SNS among people in their 10s and 20s, taking a place in the new consumer culture. This study developed an analysis based on the components of the fafiade in distinguishing the recently emerging Neutro trend from retro trends through cafe facades, and the study was designed in two parts in total. The first is to derive components of the fafiade through prior research and to distinguish between the new and retro cafes, and the second is to analyze the differences between the new and retro cafe fafiade through statistical programs. I think this study will serve as a starting point for understanding the concept of retro, which can change variously, in the development of the times and its cultural background, and hopefully lead to a deeper study of retro trends that reflect consumption trends by various lifestyles of modern people in the future.

        개인화 디자인을 위한 디자인 생성 도구 적용 연구 : 가구 디자인 사례를 중심으로

        Personalization is recognized as an important factor that enhances market competitiveness. To develop personalized product successfully, the concept of co-design is suggested, which involves users in the design phase during product development. Whereas co-design requires UX experts to elicit user needs and foster users to visualize their thoughts, personalized products are usually designed by small group of designers who are not trained in user research methods. Therefore, we developed a method applying a generative design tool using GAN(Generative Adversarial Network) to help users produce design themselves from their own needs. The method is composed of three steps: GAN generation, need analysis, and concept design. First, we crawl images and train a network using StyleGAN2 algorithm to generate fake images. Second, we define PA(Perceived Attribute) from online review data and interview, and map related images by conducting card sorting analysis. Third, a generative tool is developed to explore latent space of GAN based on the personal result of card sorting. Users generate personal images using this tool, and designers evaluate concept design by interviewing users referring their personal images. For case study, we developed concept designs for dining chair, pendant light, and living room table. The effectiveness of the suggested method is verified by survey result. 개인화는 시장에서 제품의 경쟁력을 높이는 요소로, 개인화된 제품을 성공적으로 개발하기 위해 사용자를 디자인 단계에 보다 적극적으로 참여시키는 공동 디자인(Co-design) 접근 방식이 제안되고 있다. 공동 디자인은 훈련된 UX 전문가에 의해 진행되는데, 사용자가 본인의 니즈를 정확히 알기 힘들며 시각적으로 표현하는 과정에 너무높은 자유도가 주어지면 오히려 좌절감을 줄 수 있기 때문이다. 그러나 개인화된 제품의 경우에는 소규모의 디자이너 그룹에 의해 진행되는 경우가 많으며, 시간과 비용의 제약으로 UX 전문가의 도움을 받기 쉽지 않다. 본 연구는이 문제를 해결하기 위해 사용자가 본인의 니즈로부터 직접 디자인을 생성할 수 있도록 돕는 절차를 제안하고, 이과정에 GAN(Generative Adversarial Network) 기법을 활용한 생성적 도구를 개발하였다. 연구 절차는 크게 GAN 생성, 사용자 니즈 분석, 컨셉 디자인 도출로 진행된다. GAN 생성 단계에서는 제품 이미지를 수집하고 StyleGAN2 알고리즘을 적용하여 네트워크를 학습하고 가짜 이미지를 생성한다. 사용자 니즈 분석 단계에서는 온라인 리뷰 분석과 인터뷰를 통해 인식된 속성(Perceived Attribute; PA)을 추출하고, 카드 소팅으로 PA에 대한 이미지를 맵핑하여사용자의 개인화된 심상모형을 조사한다. 컨셉 디자인 단계에서는 카드소팅 결과를 바탕으로 네트워크의 잠재적 공간을 탐색하는 상호작용 도구를 개발하고, 사용자는 이 도구로 개인화 이미지를 생성한다. 디자이너는 생성된 개인화 이미지를 참고하여 인터뷰를 통해 컨셉 디자인을 도출한다. 본 논문에서는 의자, 펜던트 조명, 거실 테이블에 대한 사례 연구를 진행하였으며, 제안된 도구와 최종 컨셉 디자인에 대한 만족도 설문을 통해 효용성을 확인하였다.

        디자인 스튜디오의 소규모 브랜드 공간 아이덴티티 구축에 관한 연구

        One of the characteristics that can be seen in the field of interior design today is the emergence of design studios. The characteristic of their design work is that it aims for total branding. In the past, such processes have been mainly applied to brand stores under companies, but with the advent of design studios, they have also begun to be applied to small scale brand stores. Commercial spaces that has gone through this process that achieve significant commercial results through SNS by establishing store identity. There may be differences in the elements that form store identity, but most of them are furniture, lighting, decoration, color, logo, finishing materials, etc. The important point here is that the elements act as integrated elements that form a style, not as individual beings. In this way, the elements the space form a mutually related relationship through total branding. In this study, The identity of space is viewed based on Whitehead’s aesthetic sensory theory. Based on this theory, it can be seen that different elements of space exist independently, but are recognized as a completed space through the theory of sensory theory. This shows that the design method called total branding plays a significant role in building spatial identity. Finally, analyzing the site that went through the branding work of the design studio through Whitehead’s sensory theory, it was confirmed that the harmony, space form, and function of the spatial components interact with each other to firmly build the functional and aesthetic identity that space identity.
