Marine survey ships measure the depth by shooting sound-waves to underwater. Generally, the obtained data have various errors because marine survey ships pitches and rolls depending on marine environments. These errors are mainly caused by sensors, their location and the offset value. In this study, the correlation based on LiDAR scan data has been calculated to determine the position of the sensor on the marine survey ships and offset value has been estimated for the purpose of precision improvement of underwater survey.
