Vol.12 No.4

This study is aimed at furnishing information which will be able to help improve lower limb`s strength and plan training as given measures of knee joint`s rotation per angular velocity in the existing way of strength training, making use of□□Cybex NORM□□ tested for isokinetic strength to 10 persons Taekwondo athletes and trainees respectively among high school students, furthermore it will be informative to estimate the cause of injury occurrence in the muscule skeletal system in terms of a strength imbalance. Therefore, both concentric contraction and eccentric contraction were carried out among isokinetic strength tests - 5 times at 60°/sec, 5 times at 180°/sec, and 5 times at 240°/sec in each angular velocity of left and right knee joint, and then the results of those were as follows. Peak torque displayed the significant difference between 60°/sec and 180°/sec of the right and left flexor during concentric contraction, however during eccentric contraction it did at angular velocity 60°/sec of left flexor. In conclusion, according to the results of isokinetic knee joint strength testing between a group of athletes and a group of trainees in Taekwondo, it is estimated the former has more powerful lower limb`s strength than the latter in several items, and also it has been shown that Taekwondo athletes are able to kick more times than the other due largely to the athletes` fast neuromuscular reaction led by lower knee joint angle of peak torque than other items in a group of athletes. With regard to peak torque of flexor and extensor ratio, those results reach the level about 60%, however, it is absolutely necessary not only to develop lower limbs strength in balance through weight training and specific training prescription, also to prevent injury occurrence and to last as a player for a long time.

Vol.0 No.46

The purpose of this study was to examine differences in health satisfactin, spectator satisfaction and manner according to participation characteristics of golf galleries. A total of 1,100 galleries attending golf tournaments held in Jeju Island were selected using a convenient sampling method. 1,017 usable questionnaires were returned to the researchers. Data analyses were conducted for frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and One-way ANOVA with PASW 18.0. The results of this study indicated that (1) golf galleries` perception of health satisfaction was significant different depending on their participation characteristics, (2) golf galleries` perception of spectator satisfaction was significant different depending on their participation characteristics, and (3) golf galleries` manner was significant different depending on their participation characteristics. Practical implications of findings were discussed.

The purpose of this study was to examine whether functional fitness predicts subsequent cognitive decline in community dwelling older adults. The subjects were 1094 (556 men and 538 women) adults aged 60 years or older who completed the baseline (2000-2002) and ten years later (2010-2012) examinations of the National Institute for Longevity Science-Longitudinal Study of Aging (NILS-LSA) in Japan. We examined associations at baseline and over a 10-year follow-up period between seven functional fitness measures: gait speed, step length, one leg standing, reaction time, leg extension power, grip strength and knee extension strength and mini-mental state examination (MMSE). Multivariate logistic regression was used to examine the relationships between functional fitness and cognitive function decline every two years. There was a significant association between the reaction time and risk of becoming decrease to 23 points of MMSE in both model Ⅰ and model Ⅱ of all waves in men and women for 10 years. Gait speed was related to decrease in the cognitive function from after six years (5th wave) in both men (OR, 0.72; CI, 0.53-0.95) and women (OR, 0.79; CI, 0.54-0.97). Leg extension power and grip strength of the physical function were associated with cognitive function decline from after six years it was found in men only. In the women case, it was showed after 10 years. Functional fitness was identified as factors that can predict the decrease in cognitive function. But it turned out that the functional fitness related to cognitive function decreases depending on the time and gender are different.

자폐아동의 문제행동 감소를 위한 낙하산놀이 프로그램의 효과

        김경숙,장명재,김기범 한국특수체육학회 1999 한국특수체육학회지 Vol.7 No.1

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of group-play program on an austic child's behaviors; stereotyped, attention deficit, and leaving-seat behaviors in a classroom setting. The method of the research was based on the A-B-A' design of the single subject research methodology where A is the baseline; B is the intervention; and A' is the baseline after the intervention of the experiment. The autistic child's behavior showed following changes as the results of this experiment using a group-play called 'parachute play'; First, the parachute play affected in decreasing the stereotype behavior of the autistic child in the classroom. Second, although the parachute play activity affected in increasing the duration of attention time, it did not affect in decreasing frequency of inattention of the autistic child in the classroom. Finally, the parachute play affected positively on decreasing the duration of leaving-seat behavior in a classroom, but affected negatively on decreasing frequency of leaving-seat behavior of the autistic child.
