Noise reduction for hydraulic pump is strongly demanded in the market with its efficiency and durability. In order to meet this demand, it is necessary to reveal mechanism for noise and relationship between the important factors. In this paper, mathematical model for cylinder pressure which is primary reason of pulsation and sound noise were established, and examined its pressure profile by simulation. Also, the valve plate of three kind types are manufactured and tested for piston pressure, pressure pulsation, and sound power level based on the tentative standard which is officially recognized.

The purpose of this study is to develop the guideline of the physicochemical and mechanical properties evaluation for silicone gel filled breast implants. First of all, the use and development status for silicone gel filled breast implants were investigated, and then, standard and criteria about performance evaluation established by the international organizations such as ASTM, FDA guidance and ISO were examined. To evaluate the mechanical properties, data research and testing for breaking strength, elongation, tensile set, joint intensity, silicone gel cohesion, weight loss from heating, static rupture resistance, impact resistance test, fatigue test, and gel bleed were performed. On the other hand, to evaluate the physicochemical properties, volatile matter, extent of cross linking, heavy metals, and extractable were analyzed. In this study, results for general function, mechanical properties and physicochemical properties were examined and reviewed for the accordance with international standard, and objective and standardized guideline was provided.

To improve the performance of the bent-axis type axial piston pump driven by the tapered piston, it is necessary to know the driving characteristics and mechanism of the tapered piston and the cylinder block. Since each piston not only rotates on its axis and reciprocates in the cylinder bore, but also revolves around the axis of the driving shaft, it is difficult to analyze the driving mechanism theoretically. The theoretical mechanism for the bent-axis type axial piston pump is studied by using the geometrical method. The driving range of the tapered piston is determined by theoretical equations. The experimental results show that the cylinder block is driven by one tapered piston in a limited range and the core parameters such as driving factor of the piston and the ahead delay angle influenced performance of the bent-axis type axial piston pump

The goal of this study is to develop test method for evaluating the drug eluting properties of drug eluting stents (DES). PBS and the detergent solutions, presented by each DES manufacturer, were used for drug release of DES coated with paclitaxel, zotarolimus and everolimus. The drugs which are coating DES were not released by PBS but released by the detergent solutions, finally paclitaxel 83.38%, zotarolimus 103.85% and everolimus 115.78%. It seems that the use of the detergents is necessary in order to release the drugs because those drugs are extremely hydrophobic. In conclusion, using of detergent solutions presented by each manufacturer were suitable for evaluating the drug eluting property of drug eluting stent.

This study suggests the numerical model of an axial piston pump focusing on pressure and flow ripple analysis. using the numerical model, simulation programs for analysing pressure and flow ripple in the pump are shown. the effectiveness of the simulation programs are verified by comparative considerations of the simulation results and experimented results. Effects of several physical parameters on simulation accuracy are investigated.
