High speed on-off electro-magnetic valves are used for pressure control or flow control in automotive or construction machine servomechanisms. These systems require quicker valve switching speed to improve control preciseness. The authors designed and manufactured an electric valve driver with quick response characteristics by using 3 power source type valve driver concept. In experiments by using a hydraulic system incorporating the new valve driver, the new driver shortened the switching lag time from 5 ms to 1.3 ms. And also the new driver showed excellent position tracking control performances.
Position Control of a Hydraulic Servo Cylinder Using Feedback Linearization

This paper suggests a hydraulic servo system with a linear controller using feedback linearization. Feedback linearization technique is applied to overcome the non-linearities of the system. The authors pay attention to simpler realization of the controller for the object system and prepare a controller with an additional compensator to recover the response time delay due to using the reduced order model. The control object consists of a hydraulic servo-valve, a servo-cylinder with an inertia load. The control performances of the control system with the newly suggested controllers and a conventional controller(designed based on a system model linearized around a specific operation point) are compared, and the excellency of the controllers proposed in this study is confirmed.

Noise reduction for hydraulic pump is strongly demanded in the market with its efficiency and durability. In order to meet this demand, it is necessary to reveal mechanism for noise and relationship between the important factors. In this paper, mathematical model for cylinder pressure which is primary reason of pulsation and sound noise were established, and examined its pressure profile by simulation. Also, the valve plate of three kind types are manufactured and tested for piston pressure, pressure pulsation, and sound power level based on the tentative standard which is officially recognized.

This study suggests the numerical model of an axial piston pump focusing on pressure and flow ripple analysis. using the numerical model, simulation programs for analysing pressure and flow ripple in the pump are shown. the effectiveness of the simulation programs are verified by comparative considerations of the simulation results and experimented results. Effects of several physical parameters on simulation accuracy are investigated.
