Effects of catecholamines and the site of receptor of catecholamines were investigated in the longitudinal muscle of the rumen. In order to this experiment, specimens were obtained from 35 Korean Native Cattles, 2-3 years old, in the Kwang-ju area slaughterhouse. Longitudinal muscle strips of rumen were made from sample, and then measured the isometric contraction with physiograph in $37{^{\circ}C}$ organ bath. The results were summarized as follows. 1. 30% of all strips showed rhythmic contraction after short incubation time. 2. Relaxation produced by catecholamines in this preparations increased in a dose-dependant manner. 3. Isoproterenol(${\beta}$-agonist) caused relaxation, but phenylephrine(${\alpha}_1$-agonist) and xylazine(${\alpha}_2$-agonist) were unaffected. 4. The relaxation induced by epinephrine and norepinephrine were not affected by phentolamine(${\alpha}$-blocker) and prazosin(${\alpha}_1$-blocker), yohimbine(${\alpha}_2$-blocker). But propranolol(${\beta}$-antagonist) abolished the effect of catecholamines on relaxation. 5. It is concluded that catecholamines produced relaxation in the longitudinal muscle of rumen via the ${\beta}$-adrenoceptor.

Purpose: This study aimed to compare a dynamic neuromuscular training program with a static neuromuscular training program for taekwondo players. Methods: This study design was a randomized control trial. Three high school taekwondo teams (taekwondo neuromuscular training [TNT] group, 22; Get Set group, 17; and control group, 24) participated in the study. Get Set group performed a program focused on the static movement, and TNT group performed a program which was modified Get Set to dynamic movement. Control group maintained the existing taekwondo training without any intervention. The intervention group performed 15-minute training three times a week for 6 weeks. Dynamic Postural Stability Index (DPSI) and time-to-boundary test (TTB) tests were performed before and after 6 weeks of training. Results: As a result of DPSI, an interaction effect was observed only in the anterior/posterior stability index of the dominant leg of the TNT and Get Set groups (p<0.05). However, there was no difference between the TNT and the Get Set groups. As a result of TTB analysis, no statistical effect was observed in all variables of the dominant and non-dominant legs. Conclusion: As a result of conducting 6-week dynamic and static neuromuscular training for taekwondo athletes, the effect of training was found in both the intervention group. However, differences in training effects between groups could not be proved. Therefore, it is necessary to clearly confirm the difference between the two training through long-term follow-up studies.

Experimental studies for the high damping rubber bearing, lead rubber bearing and natural rubber bearing, those are often used to improve the seismic capacity if the structure recently, are conducted to evaluate the seismic capacity of the seismic isolation bearings. The shear stiffness of the bearings decrease and the shear strain amplitude or the constant axial load level increase, but not sensitive to the strain rate effect. Bearings are strong for the axial compression but weak for the axial tension.
