This paper presents the development results of a smart memory module for data acquisition system to examine the characteristics of shaft misalignment. The smart memory module is a standalone type with high capacity, and it can communicate with computer via RS-232 interface in off-line after data acquisition. In the process of shaft misalignment maintenance, the misalignment data achieved by strain gauges on the turbine rotor are synchronized with the angle data gathered by 4 angular sensors boarded on the smart memory system. The real time data is acquisitioned in the manner of self operation during testing; then the data saved in smart memory is translated into a computer for data processing and analysis via RS-232C. For the better precision, the system uses two types of filters: a low pass filter on interface circuit and a transfer average filter in software. Also the effectiveness of data acquisition operation using the developed smart memory module is proved through the experimental results using mock-up system.

Aluminum doped zinc oxide (AZO) thin films were deposited on corning glass substrates using an Nd:YAG pulsed laser deposition technology. The AZO thin films were deposited with various growth conditions such as the substrate temperature and oxygen partial pressure. In this work, we used various measurement technologies in order to investigate the electrical, structural, and optical properties of the AZO thin films. Among the AZO thin films, the one prepared at the substrate temperature of 300 ℃ and oxygen partial pressure of 5 mTorr showed the best properties of an electrical resistivity of 4.63×l0?⁴ Ωㆍ㎝, a carrier concentration of 9.25×10²? ㎝?³, and a carrier mobility of 31.33 ㎠/Vㆍs. All the AZO thin films showed an high average optical transmittance over 90 % in visible region.
초음파센서와 RFID시스템을 이용한 이동로봇의 맵 빌딩에 관한 연구

This paper is to present map building of mobile robot using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology and ultrasonic sensor. For mobile robot to perform map building, the mobile robot needs its localization and accurate driving in space. In this reason, firstly, kinematic modeling of mobile robot under non-holonomic constrains is introduced. Secondly, based on this modeling, a tracking controller is designed for tracking a given path based on backstepping method using Lyapunov function. The Lyapunov function is also introduced for proving the stability of the designed tracking controller. Thirdly, 2D map building is performed by RFID system, mobile robot system and ultrasonic sensors. The RFID mobile robot system is composed of DC motor, encoder, ultra sonic sensor, digital compass, RFID receiver and RFID antenna. Finally, the path tracking simulation results and map building experimental results are presented to show the effectiveness of the designed controller.
