Purpose : This study aimed at uncovering the disabled adult's way of thinking and behavior due to their changed life style. Method : In depth interviews with 11 participants were held and analysed based on the Grounded Theory Methodology by Strauss and Corbin (1990). Result : This study showed us that the disabled are getting independent by selfconfidence through developing coping strategies for their physical, emotional, social, sexual problems. And in the process of creating these strategies, support structures, satisfaction for performance effect, financial burdens, and mobility had an effect on the intervening factors. Adults who become disabled go through many changes. First, they have vague hopes of improving. Second, they become discouraged. Third, they accept their disability. Next, they learn coping strategies and finally, they integrate the changes into their new life style. Conclusion : This study can be utilized in rehabilitation nursing so that the disabled can adapt to their changed life style quickly and lead independent and self-confident lives.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze research in the Korean Journal of Rehabilitation Nursing and to suggest further perspective for rehabilitation nursing research. Method: In this study we reviewed the contents of 134 articles published in this journal from its beginning year 1998 to 2004. Results: The majority of subjects were adult patients. The type of disease were Cerebrovascular Accident, Neuromuscular disease, Cancer patients, Urogenital disease such as Chronic Renal Failure, Spinal cord injury. Domain of research almost was client, type of research were survey(34.3%), quasi experimental study(20.9%), correlation study(19.4%). Nursing intervention of experimental study was exercise(39.0%), education(17.1%). Place of data collection was hospital (58.2%), position of researcher was professor(67.2%), method of data collection was questionnaire(50.7%). Conclusion: There has been a lack of written consent, child rehabilitation, measurement tool development, qualitative research. More studies about rehabilitation nursing are needed to extend the role and fields for professional nursing.
우화 그림책을 활용한 상담이 대학생의 자존감 인식에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 우화의 특성인 인생에 대한 지혜와 교훈 등의 메시지를 비유와 풍자, 감정이입 등의 요소를 활용한 우화 그림책을 대학생의 상담에 활용하여 자존감 인식에 도움을 주고자 하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 우화 그림책의 개념과 활용 의의를 다양한 선행 연구를 통해 조사하고 대학생의 자존감 인식에 관련되어 적용할 수 있는 우화 그림책을 검토하였다. 설정된 목표를 위한 적절한 연구 도구로 현대 우화 그림책의 아버지라고 불리는 `레오 리오니`의 그림책 2권을 선정하고 이를 상담 활동에 적용하여 대학생 자존감 인식의 효과성에 대한 실험을 진행하였다. 더불어 학생들 개개인이 생각하는 현재의 주관적인 자존감 상태에 대한 설문조사를 진행하였다. 실험 조사 대상은 부산의 D 대학교 공학 계열 1학년들과 K 대학교 디자인 전공 1학년 학생들 대상으로 총 40명을 대상으로 설문조사 및 상담을 2016년 1학기 동안 시행하였다. (남 19명, 여학생 21명) 실험과 설문조사 결과에 먼저, 가장 눈에 띄는 부분은 학생들이 상담이라는 단어에 대해 거북함과 부담감을 토로하였으나, 우화 그림책을 활용한 상담에 대해서는 호기심과 호감도를 많이 나타내었다. 이후 우화 그림책을 읽고 난 뒤 학생들과의 소그룹 상담을 통해 학생들은 자신의 자존감에 대해 한 번 더 생각하게 된 계기가 되었다고 평가하였다. 무겁고 진지한 분위기의 기존 상담 프로그램에 그림책을 활용한 프로그램이 있다면 적극적으로 참여하고 싶다는 긍정적인 반응을 나타내었다. 결과적으로 우화 그림책을 활용한 상담은 대학생의 자존감 인식에 효과적으로 활용 될 가능성이 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 자존감 인식 측면에서도 긍정적인 효과를 나타냈다. 오늘날 대학생들은 복잡한 사회 속에서 많은 문제에 직면하면서 자존감은 점점 낮아지고 있는 것이 현실이다. 그러므로 대학은 학생 복지 서비스 차원에서 자존감 인식에 대해 도움을 줄 수 있는 다양한 참여 프로그램을 마련해야 할 것이다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 제안된 우화 그림책을 활용한 상담 기법은 그림책의 다양한 가치와 활용을 넓히는 계기로 활용되기를 기대한다. This research has used characteristics from fables by featuring messages like life`s wisdom and morals. The purpose was to apply fable picture books in counseling sessions targeting university students, to help gain recognition for their self-esteem using methods such as comparison, satire and empathy. First, the picture book`s concept and importance of applying was used for various preceding researches. Then choosing the suitable fable book was needed for the usage of counseling university students recognition of self-esteem. The most suitable tool for the subject were two picture books from "The father of modern fable books" Leo Lionni. After the selection of the books, experiments about the effectiveness of university students self-esteem were conducted. Along with the experiment, students were asked individually about how they thought about their subjective self-esteem conditions. The research period and subjects of the students were selected for the first semester of 2016 and 40 (19 Male, 21 Female) freshmen of the engineering department of D University and design department of K University. Ahead of the experiments and surveys, the most evident demerit was that students confessed incommodity and burden during existing counseling sessions. But with the usage of fable picture books, students showed curiosity and attention toward the counseling. Since reading the fable picture books, counseling in small groups of students remarked that they had a chance to take a look back about their self-esteem. It was revealed that the students showed a positive response to participating in counseling sessions if they used fable picture books to existing boring counseling sessions. As a result counseling session using fable picture books held a high possibility on inflection of university students gaining recognition for their self-esteem. Unfortunately, nowadays it has became a reality that a majority of university students are confronted with a lot of problems and get a lower self-esteem in a complex society. As a solution, universities should provide various participation programs for the improvement of recognition of students self esteem and student welfare services. As a result, the suggested method in this research is hoping that counseling sessions using fable picture books can be an useful opportunity to be widely used in a valuable way in the future.
