This study has been carried out to observe photodegradation efficieny of TCE with the variation of IN irradiation strength, liquid thickness and immobilized TiO₂. The results are summarized as fallows; 1. Without photocatalyst, the TCE removal efficiency was observed to be about 15% with UV irradiation. 2. Above 93% of TCE were mineralized by immobilized TiO₂on glass panel(5g, 500℃) and UV irradiation. The photodegradation efficiency increased with increasing UV lamp numbers and reaction rate increased with increasing TCE initial concentration. 3. The photodegradation efficiency decreased with increasing the liquid thickness and above 96% of TCE were removed with using 3 UV lamps and liquid thickness less than 6cm.

본 연구는 활성 슬러지를 이용한 Toluene 함유 gas의 생물학적 처리에 관한 연구로서 경제적이고도 효율적 처리 기술인 충진상 생물막 반응장치의 효율에 대하여 검토하였다. 산업현장에서 발생되는 유기 gas중 toluene을 제거하는 인자로서 가스 농도, 미생물에 대한 가스부하, 온도 및 기액비 등의 변화에 대하여 가스 제거효율을 측정하였다. 실험 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 톨루엔의 생물학적 처리가능성을 확인하였다. 2. 초기농도가 증가할수록 적응기간도 길어졌다. 3. MLSS 3400㎎/ℓ 톨루엔농도 150ppm에 있어서 제거효율은 92% 이상이었다. 4. 톨루엔의 생물학적 제거를 위한 최적온도는 35℃임을 확인하였다. 5. 톨루엔의 제거에 대한 기액비의 영향은 거의 없었다. This investigation is carried out to study the biodegradation of toluene in gases using mixed microorganisms. The bioscrubber used to eliminate organic pollutants in waste gases is economical and efficient treament technique. Gas removal efficiency according to the variation of inlet gas concentration, gas load per unit biomass, temperature and gasliguid ratio has been measured. The results show as follows : 1. It is confirmed that toluene gas can be treated biologically by activated sludge. 2. The larger the initial concentration of toluene is, the longer the acclimation period of sludge shows. 3. At the loading level of less than 150ppm toluene per 3400㎎/l MLSS, removal efficiency is excellent, which is greater than 92%. 4. Optimum temperature of toluene removal is 35℃.

The objectives of this study are to examine combustion characteristics of E.V.A. and rubber wastes by fixed-bed incinerator. The results are as follows; 1. Combustion temperature with time rises rapidly, and mass of E.V.A. reduces at short time in E.V.A. combustion. 2. In variation of air-fuel ratio(m), the ideal values of m of E.V.A. and rubber are 2.5, 1.5 respectively. 3. Mixed-waste combustion is more economic than single E.V.A. combustion, because we can get high combustion efficiency(94.58∼99.44%) at 2.0 air-fuel ratio of mixed-waste combustion. 4. Removal efficiencies of SO₂at cooling tower are 16.67∼21.28%. 5. The combustion efficiencies vary within the range of 94.58∼99.50% according to the experimental conditions.
濠州의 Clean Air Act에 관한 比較法的 硏究 (Ⅰ)

Australian Clean Air Act was studied in a comparative legal method. Australian Pollution Control Commission has more variety in its members. License application is permitted with or without conditions, and sometimes rejected with reasonable reasons, the fee for a license may be prescribed according to the magnitude of the premises, emission rate is prescribed in addition to the emission concentrations, stack height and installation of stack may be ordered by the commission. It may be necerrary to prescribe the premises other than registered. In order to control pollution, regulations with respect to appeal against the decision of the commission exist, license shauld be given within the time limit of one year, basic rule to prohibit and abate the pollution is necessary in the Act in Korea.
Permeable tube를 利用한 toluene gas의 生物學的 處理에 관한 硏究

Toluene gas was introduced into municipal waste water treatment plant's recycled sludge using permeable silicon tube. Bacterial strain was developed at the outside of tube. Toluene gas was removed by the microorganism with the removal efficiency being over 98% at the flow ate of 30㎖~180㎖/min, loading of 2,000ppm~2,560ppm and temperature 30℃. Sample taken from the sludge solution was analyzed by spectrophotometry and GC/Mass. Benzoic acid was found to prove bio-oxidation of toluene.

The results from this study are as follows ; 1. With maintaining high incineration efficiencies, the proper excess air ratio to control NO is 2.0. 2. For the fixed-bed incinerator used in this study, the proper incineration temperature for the rubber waste is about 550℃. 3. Within the incineration temperature of 525 ± 25℃, NO is emmitted far bellow the legal standard of 400ppm. 4. The incineration temperatures strongly affect the concentrations of NO. 5. At the proper waste loading, the incineration efficiencies of the rubber waste from shoe manufacture proccesses are as high as 99.6%.
3상 생물막 유동상 반응기를 이용한 피혁폐수처리에 관한 연구

The object of this study is to survey the effect of media concentration, tannery wastewater hydraulic loading rate and its organic shock loading on substrate removal efficiency and biofilm, in the three-phase biofilm fluidised bed reactor (BFBR). The conclusions from experiment are as following : 1. MLVSS volume was increased with increasing volumetric loading rate. Behind 3.5 kgCOD/ ㎥-day, the substrate removal efficiency was observed above 90%. 2. The mean biofilm thickness was 163 μm and the highest dry biofilm density was observed 0.087 gVSS/㎤, during operation period. 3. With influent COD_(Cr), changes from 800 mg/l to 1,700 mg/l, the biofilm thickness was increased to 181 ㎛ and dry density was decreased to 0.063 gVSS/㎤.
