Reliability Evaluation of a Pin Puller via Monte Carlo Simulation

A Monte Carlo (MC) simulation was conducted to predict the reliability of a newly developed pyrotechnic pin puller. The reliability model is based on the stress–strength interference model that states that failure occurs if the stress exceeds the strength. In this study, the stress is considered to be the energy consumed by movement of a pin shaft, and the strength is considered to be the energy generated by pyrotechnic combustion for driving the pin shaft. Failure of the pin puller can thus be defined as the consumed energy being greater than the generated energy. These energies were calculated using a performance model formulated in the previous study of the present authors. The MC method was used to synthesize the probability densities of the two energies and evaluate the reliability of the pin puller. From a probabilistic perspective, the calculated reliability was compared to a deterministic safety factor. A sensitivity analysis was also conducted to determine which design parameters most affect the reliability.
중소기업 종사자의 혁신행동에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 메타분석

The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze the factors influencing the innovative behavior of SME employees. The subjects of this study were 26 articles in domestic journals, and the effect size was analyzed through the meta-analysis statistical method after dividing them into individual factors and organizational factors according to the factor characteristics. First, the overall effect size of employees' innovative behavior factors was shown to be a large effect size. Second, the difference in the effect size by group of employees' innovative behavior factors showed that individual factors had a relatively large effect size compared to organizational factors. Third, it was found that there was a difference in the effect size of the sub-factors of the innovative behavior factors of the seed holders of SMEs in the organizational factors. Specifically, organizational citizenship behavior showed the largest effect size, followed by learning support environment, organizational performance, and perceived organizational support. Based on the results of the analysis, measures were proposed to improve the innovative behavior of SME employees, and suggestions for future research and follow-up research directions were suggested. In conclusion, this study is meaningful in that it examined the factors affecting the innovative behavior of SME employees and presented the effect values of the influencing factors quantitatively.
Monte Carlo Simulation on Reliability of a Self-Separable Ejector for Man-Portable Missiles

An ejector was developed for man-portable missiles. The ejector can be separated from the missile after the completion of the ejection function even without any additional separation devices. This paper introduces the particular separation mechanism of the ejector and presents the methodology, based on a probabilistic design method, to predict the ejection-and-separation reliability. This approach using Monte Carlo simulation can also be applicable to the reliability prediction of one-shot items suffering from difficulties in estimating or in demonstrating their reliability due to the lack of the number of tests available.
북한이탈주민의 Holland 직업흥미 특성 및 문화 간 타당화 연구

With the increasing numbers of North Korean Refugees(NKF)’ immigrations into south korea, koreangovernment has provided a wide range of employment supports. As to disappointing outcomes of thosesupport, more considerate approaches in career counseling are required considering the differentiatingcharacteristics of NKF from others. This study is designed to identify the NKF’ vocational personality types, furthermore to test thecross cultural validity both based on Holland’s theory. The results indicate that NKF show differentiating vocational personality types from those of southkorean students or adults in same age. NKF represent much stronger conventional attributes, andsignificantly weaker consistency, discrimination, and conformity. The findings implicate that NKF’ delayed developments of employments are mainly caused byinsufficient self-motivated job search activities and work experiences. Additionally, results also indicatethat Holland’s theory is to applied in consideration of its limitation when it is used in careercounseling for NKF. 북한이탈주민들의 국내입국이 증가하면서 이들의 남한사회 자립과 정착을 위한 다양한 취업지원정책이 수립되어왔다. 그러나 취업지원정책에도 불구하고 높은 실업률과 잦은 이직률 등 진로선택과 적응의 문제가 나타남에 따라 단순한 취업지도가 아닌 북한이탈주민들의 특성을 고려한 진로상담과 교육의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 문화적배경이 다른 북한이탈주민들의 진로특성에 대한 이해가 요구되는 바, 본 연구는 진로선택과 만족도에 예측력이 높은 Holland 직업흥미유형을 중심으로 북한이탈주민들의 특성을 탐색하고자 하였으며 나아가 진로상담 장면에서 활용되고 있는 Holland 진로이론이 북한이탈주민에게도 적용가능한지의 문화타당도를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 북한이탈주민을 대상으로 실시한 Holland 흥미검사 자료를 수집하여 흥미유형분포를 분석하고 이론의 주요개념인 일관도, 변별도, 일치도 등을 산출하고 이론에서 가정하는 순환순서가설 및 직업흥미 육각모형 등의 적합성을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 북한이탈주민들은 Holland 6가지 흥미유형 중 관습형의 특성이 남녀를 불문하고 높게 나타나 보수적이고 전통적인 성향이확인되었으며, 우리나라 대학생 및 성인을 대상으로 한 선행연구와 달리 북한이탈주민들의 흥미유형은 일관도, 변별도, 일치도 등에서 상대적으로 낮은 수준이 확인되었다. 이는 북한이탈주민들이 과거 주도적 진로탐색과 다양한 경험이 불충분함으로 진로발달이 지체된 것으로 분석되었으며, 흥미 순환순서가설과 육각모형이 검증되지 못함에 따라 북한이탈주민들을 대상으로 Holland 이론을 적용한 진로상담 시 이론의 한계가 고려되어야 함이 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과들에 대해 북한이탈주민들 대상으로 한 진로상담과 진로교육의 시사점이 논의되었다.
