        Validations of a Numerical Model of Solute Transport in a Snowpack

        겨울철동안 쌓여 봄에 놓은 눈 녹은 물(snowmelt), 즉 융설의 유출은 북반구 및 산간지역에서 매우 중요한 것으로 여겨지고 있다. 이러한 지역에서 융설로 인한 유동 및 이온의 이동에 대한 이해는 매우 중요하며 전세계적으로 꾸준하게 연구되고 있다. Lee et al. (2008a)와 Lee et al. (2008b)연구에서는 대기로부터 수송된 이온 및 오염원이 융설에 의해 눈속을 이동하는 것을 모사하기 위한 Mobile-Immobile water Model (MIM)을 개발하였다. 이 연구에 사용된 모델을 검증하기 위해서 물질수지계산(mass balance calculation) 및 해석해(analytical solution)를 이용한 모델결과와의 비교를 수행하였다. 일정시간동안 눈 속에서의 물질의 질량변화는 눈 표면에서 들어온 물질과 눈 기저부에서 빠져나간 물질의 질량 차이와 같아야한다는 사실을 이용하여 물질수지를 계산하였다. 파면(wave front)의 이동속도 및 기존문헌에서 알려진 해석 해를 이용하여 모델결과와의 비교도 시도하였다. 모델의 물질수지계산결과 질량 차이가 거의 발생하지 않았으며 모델결과와 해석해와의 비교 역시 두 결과가 거의 일치하였다. Snowmelt from seasonal snow covers can be significant in many environments of northern and alpine areas. Water flow and chemical transport resulting from snowmelt have been studied for an understanding of contributions to watersheds or catchments. A Mobile-Immobile water Model (MIM) was developed to describe the movement of ionic tracers through a snowpack by Lee et al. (2008a) and Lee et al. (2008b). To validate the model used in the studies, mass balance calculations of the model were conducted and comparisons were made between model results and analytical solutions in this work. Mass balance was calculated based on the fact that change in total mass within a snowpack with time is equal to sum of any change in the flux of water or ionic tracers into and out of the snowpack. Calculations of both water and ionic mass show almost perfect agreement between changes of two water and solute mass fluxes. Comparisons between model results and analytical solutions including wave velocity and effective saturation show almost perfect agreement.

        홀로그래픽 고분자 분산 액정을 이용한 홀로그램 이중 초점 렌즈 제작

        다기능성 아크릴레이트 단량체와 네마틱 액정 등을 혼합한 홀로그래픽 고분자 분산 액정 박막을 제작하고 액정의 농도와 피부에서 인가한 교류 전기장 등에 대한 실시간 회절효율을 측정하였다. WPDLC 박막에 기록된 홀로그램은 적절한 교류 전기장의 on/off에 의해 가역적으로 소거와 재생이 가능함을 보였다. 이러한 전기광학 특성을 이용하여 30 cm와 40 cm의 이중초점을 갖는 홀로그램 렌즈를 제작하였다. We Have fabricated a holographic polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (HPDLC) thin film, which is composed of multifunctional acrylate monomer blended with the nematic liquid crystal mixture, and then investigated the real-time diffraction efficiencies for various amounts of liquid crystals and applied AC electric fields. It is experimentally shown that the holographic gratings recorded in the HPDLC film can be reversibly erased and reconstructed by switching on and off an appropriate applied AC electric field. By use of these electro-optic properties we have developed bifocal holographic lenses having two different focal lengths of 30cm and 40 cm.

        추정된 일회심박출량을 이용한 수면 무호흡 검출

        This paper proposes a new algorithm for sleep apnea detection based on stroke volume. It is very important to detect sleep apnea since it is a common and serious sleep-disordered breathing (SDB). In the previous studies, methods for sleep apnea detection using heart rate variability, airflow and blood oxygen saturation, tracheal sound have been proposed, but a method using stroke volume has not been studied. The proposed algorithm consists of detection of characteristic points in continuous blood pressure signal, estimation of stroke volume and detection of sleep apnea. To evaluate the performance of algorithm, the MIT-BIH Polysomnographic Database provided by Phsio- Net was used. As a result, the sensitivity of 85.99%, the specificity of 72.69%, and the accuracy of 84.34%, on the average were obtained. The proposed method showed comparable or higher performance compared with previous methods.

        활동기준원가계산법(Actvitiy-Based Costing)에 의한 모듈러 건축물 공장제작단계 간접비 산정 방안

        최근 건설 기업들은 노동력 부족, 원자재값 상승, 건설경기 위축 등으로 인해 새로운 건설시장 개척 및 자동화 기술도입을 적극적으로 추진하고 있다. 이러한 노력의 일환으로 최근 제조업의 생산프로세스와 건설생산프로세스가 결합된 모듈러 건축공법이 부각되고 있으며 이와 관련된 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 모듈러 건축프로세스에서 공장제작의 가장 큰 장점 중 하나는 기존 건축프로세스에서 사용하기 어려웠던 제조업의 생산설비시스템을 활용한 생산원가(공사원감)절감이 가능하다는 것 있다. 이를 뒷받침하기 위해서는 대다수의 건축공종이 집중되어있는 공장제작단계에서의 원가산정이 정확해야 하며 특히 직접적인 계산이 어려운 간접비에 대한 구체적인 산정방인 필요하다. 그러나 국내 모듈러 건축산업이 시장도입단계로 이와 관련된 연구가 한정적으로 이루어지고 있어 모듈러 건축물의 원가왜곡현상이 나타날 수 있는 문제가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 모듈러 건축물의 공장제작단계에서 국내계약법상에서 명시된 제조업과 건설업에서의 간접비 정의를 고찰하고 활동기준원가계산법을 통해 모듈러 건축물을 구성하는 모듈러 유닛별 간접비 산정방식을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 공장제작단계에서의 전 과정 뿐만 아니라 모듈러 건축물의 설계, 제작, 운송, 시공의 간접비 배분에 대한 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있으며 향후 모듈러 건축물의 공장제작단계에서의 원가산정 정확도 향상 및 모듈러 건축물의 전 생애주기에 따른 원가산정방안 마련에 기여할 것으로 기대된다. Modular construction is combined with manufacturing production process and conventional construction industry technique. Considering characteristic of modular construction production process, manufacturing facilities require indirect costs for utilities, equipment, and overall maintenance, which can affect modular units pricing. However, current modular construction cost classification is inadvertent to reflect the manufacturing overhead costs, because it is generally added as a percentage to sum of labor, material and equipment as it called in single cost pool used. This process is easy to estimate the total construction cost at the project starting points, but it brings on misunderstanding of project profit estimations by "cross subsidization phenomenon". To prevent this situation, in this research aims to provide modular construction overhead cost handling process at the detailed indirect cost calculation for manufacturing stage using Activity-Based Costing as one of the powerful method for overhead costs estimation and allocation. Using this research results, modular construction cost estimators have more detailed cost information of modular units and prevent to misallocate indirect costs. Also, it can be utilized to aid the understanding of the company's profit structure.

        붉은머리 오목눈이 (Paradoxornis webbiana)의 정자변태 과정 중 정자형성세포의 미세구조

        본 연구는 붉은머리오목눈이(Paradoxornis webbiana)의 정자변태 과정을 알아보기 위하여 전자현미경으로 세포분화 단계에 따른 세포구조물의 특징을 기초로 하여 관찰한 결과 정자변태의 전과정을 10단계로 나타내었다. 염색질의 변화는 골지기에서 균질한 섬유상의 형태가 두모기에서는 서서히 응축하여 첨체기에 막대상으로 응축되고 성숙기에 이르러 더욱 응축되고, 균질화되어 완전한 핵을 형성하였다. 꼬리의 형성시기는 초기 골지단계에서 시작하여 성숙후기에 완료되었다. 축사는 9+2구조이며, 미토콘드리아 다발은 2개가 1조를 이루어 축사를 중심으로 $15^{\circ}$ 각도로 규칙적으로 배열되어 있었다. 그리고 microtubules들이 미토콘드리아 외막을 둘러싸고 있었다 정자의 파동막의 형태는 S자형으로 정자원형질막을 둘러싸고 있었다. The morphological characteristics of spermatogenic cells during the spermiogenesis of Paradoxornis webbiana were studied by transmission electron microscope. Spermiogenesis of P. webbiana was divided into ten phase. The chromatin granules became fibrous granules at the Golgi phase, gradually condensed at the cap phases, condensed as a stick at the acrosomal phase, and finally, a perfect nucleus was formed at the maturation phase. The formation of sperm tail began at the early Golgi phase, and completed at the late maturation phase. In particular, the dense materials existed in the sperm neck, which is wedged between the tip of segmented columns and the first mitochondria of the middle piece. The axone in the neck were surrounded by the dense materials. The axonema in spermatozoon contains a 9+2 arrangement of microtubules: 9 doublets, and 2 central single microtubules. Mitochondrial bundles of middle piece were composed of a pair of arms, which surrounded the axone of the middle piece by the $15^{\circ}$ angled-helical structure. The outer membrane of mitochondria were surrounded by microtubules in plasma membrane of the sperm. The undulating membrane had a helical structure, and the sperm plasma membrane was surrounded by undulating membrane.

        테이핑이 편마비 환자의 결관절 아탈구에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this case study was to evaluate the taping therapy program designed to improve shoulder joint subluxation in hemiplegic patients. This study was 9 males who had hemiparesis with limitation of range of motion (ROM) and subluxation on affected side. Patients received proprioreptive facilitation using shoulder weight shifting and additional A type and B type taping. As a result of this study, Patients showed reduction of the subluxation on hemiplegic shoulder joint. but it was difficult to generalize. We concluded that proprioceptive facilitation using shoulder weight shifting and taping therapy was effective in reducing severe shoulder subluxation. Following studies must be evaluated its statistical significance.

        저전력 내장형 시스템을 위한 PCM 메인 메모리

        Nonvolatile memories in memory hierarchy have been investigated to reduce its energy consumption because nonvolatile memories consume zero leakage power in memory cells. One of the difficulties is, however, that the endurance of most nonvolatile memory technologies is much shorter than the conventional SRAM and DRAM technology. This has limited its usage to only the low levels of a memory hierarchy, e.g., disks, that is far from the CPU. In this paper, we study the use of a new type of nonvolatile memories - the Phase Change Memory (PCM) with a DRAM buffer system as the main memory. Our design reduced the total energy of a DRAM main memory of the same capacity by 80%. These results indicate that it is feasible to use PCM technology in place of DRAM in the main memory for better energy efficiency.

        3소자 및 4소자 위상인터페로미터 방탐시스템의 방탐모호성분석

        In this paper, we have proposed a novel method which can analysis the direction finding ambiguity analysis for array geometry in 3 channel and 4 channel multiple baseline direction finding system. Generally, the direction finding ambiguity in the 3 element and 4 element phase interferometer direction finding system is calculated by the simulation for the array spacing or by the probability with the selected antenna array spacing. There are some restrictions to obtain the ambiguity of direction finding system in these methods. The former performs a simulation with every antenna array spacing and the latter calculates the ambiguity with the selected antenna array spacing. To overcome those restrictions, This paper proposed the novel method to calculate the ambiguity using the imaginary antenna array spacing and the phase difference prior to the modular operation in direction finder. Using the proposed method, we obtain the ambiguity probability for each of array geometry composed of multiple baseline. After performing the simulation with the selected antenna array spacing to verify the proposed method, we compared the calculated result data with the simulation data.

        기후정보와 지리정보를 결합한 계층적 베이지안 모델링을 이용한 재현기간별 일 강우량의 공간 분포 및 불확실성

        Quantification of extreme rainfall is very important in establishing a flood protection plan, and a general measure of extreme rainfall is expressed as an T-year return level. In this study, a method was proposed for quantifying spatial distribution and uncertainty of daily rainfall depths with various return periods using a hierarchical Bayesian model combined with climate and geographical information, and was applied to the Seoul-Incheon-Gyeonggi region. The annual maximum daily rainfall depth of six automated synoptic observing system weather stations of the Korea Meteorological Administration in the study area was fitted to the generalized extreme value distribution. The applicability and reliability of the proposed method were investigated by comparing daily rainfall quantiles for various return levels derived from the at-site frequency analysis and the regional frequency analysis based on the index flood method. The uncertainty of the regional frequency analysis based on the index flood method was found to be the greatest at all stations and all return levels, and it was confirmed that the reliability of the regional frequency analysis based on the hierarchical Bayesian model was the highest. The proposed method can be used to generate the rainfall quantile maps for various return levels in the Seoul-Incheon-Gyeonggi region and other regions with similar spatial sizes.
