의사소통 중심의 교수법의 학습효과에 대한 실험적 연구 ― 초급중국어 교실수업을 중심으로

The goal of the present study is to understand the pedagogical efficacy of two language teaching approaches in teaching Chinese, namely, Grammar-Translation Method and Communicative Language Teaching. The former has traditionally been the most widely accepted language teaching method, and the latter is the newly-developed approach that has drawn much attention from language teachers as well as researchers of second language acquisition. For the present study, an experienced teacher of Chinese taught beginning-level Chinese to two groups of students by using the same teaching materials but two different teaching methods throughout a semester and compared the students' linguistic and communicative capabilities. This study finds that the teaching method appears to affect students' learning of both written and spoken styles of Chinese, and therefore calls for more discussions on developing teaching methods best applicable to teaching Chinese as a second language.
교육대학원 중국어교육전공의 평가와 진단 -교과과정과 학업성취도에 대한 재학생 인식의 계량적 연구를 통하여

This study is a survey research that examines the learners` assessment of program curriculum and academic achievement of Chinese language education programs in the Graduate Schools of Educations. The results of the survey reveal a general consensus among learners that Chinese language programs do not fully function as an effective language teacher training program mainly due to the lack of practical efficacy of Chinese pedagogy courses. It is also important to note that this consensus is found among the majority of learners regardless of the number of courses offered and the ratio of Chinese pedagogy courses to those related to Chinese linguistics and literature in the programs that they are enrolled in. Considering the learners` high demand both for a Chinese language teacher training program and for advanced studies of Chinese linguistics and literature, the findings of this study suggest that the faculty specialized in Chinese pedagogy and curriculum development should grow in order to provide the learners with a better Chinese teacher training program.
협력적 프로젝트 교수-학습 방법이 예비유아교사의 자기효능감에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 협력적 프로젝트 교수-학습방법이 예비유아교사의 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 검증함으로써 예비유아교사양성과정에서 자기효능감을 향상시킬 수 있는 효과적인 교수학습 방법을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 협력적 프로젝트 교수-학습 방법을 개발하고 유아교사 양성과정의 놀이지도 교과목에 적용한 후 자기효능감 향상 정도를 분석하였다. 연구대상은 충청북도에 위치한 D대학 유아교육과 1학년 놀이지도 교과목 수강생 58명(적용집단)과 경기도에 위치한 D대학 아동보육복지과 1학년 놀이지도 교과목 수강생 73명(비교집단) 이었다. 연구결과 적용집단의 자기효능감 전체, 자신감, 자기조절 효능감이 비교집단보다 유의미하게 향상되었고, 과제난이도선호 점수는 향상되었으나 통계적으로 유의미하지는 않았다. 따라서 예비유아교사의 자기효능감 향상을 위해 협력적 프로젝트 교수-학습방법을 효율적인 교수-학습 방법으로 추천하는 바이다.
표준중국어 운율단위(prosodic unit)와 경계억양(boundary tone)에 대한 고찰 : 마(마) 의문문을 중심으로

The present study examines the pitch patterns within a superfoot that contains a toned-syllable followed by neutral-toned syllables at a sentence-final position in ma-particle questions in Mandarin Chinese. Results of the experiment conducted for this study indicate that the pitch contour of the neutral-toned syllables is largely determined by the lexical tone of the preceding syllable, and that the tone targets tend to be realized close to the left boundary of a superfoot. It is also found that a high boundary tone is not manifested on the ma-particle, which calls for further research on question intonation patterns of the language.
담화적 맥락에서 말하기 -PSOLA 알고리듬을 통한 말하기 연습 프로그램 모형의 제시

This study examines the pedagogical efficacy of the current practices of the Communicative Language Teaching in Chinese teaching, and discusses problems with individual learners` acquisition of speaking fluency required for producing appropriate utterances in differing contexts. To help learners improve speaking fluency, this study uses the PSOLA (Pitch Synchronous Overlap and Add) algorithm to superimpose the prosodic features (i.e., fundamental frequency contour and duration) of a native speaker`s utterance onto the same sentence produced by a non-native speaker using Praat. It further proposes and evaluates two models-Prosodic Swapping Model and Automatic Patterned-Error Correction Model, both of which are currently in the development stage. The necessary technical improvements and the need for building learners` spoken language corpus are also discussed.
