        It is widely accepted that effective collection and handling of large amounts of environmental information are critical to the success of a project. The purpose of this study is summarized with the zoning of national park by the type of preservation based on the ecological method, which is the most objective and scientific approach. Recently, the computer has great part in the ecological method. The personal computer system operation in this study is the 16 bit AT computer installed at department of landscape archteture, Chonbuk national Univ. In tile process of computerization of data ( information) manipulation, spatial units (grid cell size) should be firstly determined by data precision minimum size required by planning regulation according to project and time restriction. The second step is data manipulation step where data file is prepared, edited, manipulated. The next step is preparing the computer program for land suitability analysis. The computer programs are developed into three type; input, output, and calculation process. The input process changes basic data into computer readible data. The calculation process is executed by receding program, overlay program and evaluation Program. The output process makes the final results by symbol Program.

      • 天安삼거리公園基本計劃에 關한 硏究

        The goal of this study is to propose a plan for the construction of Chonan Samgori park. Present this park is designated a neighborhood park of Chonan city. This park is located on the point of traditionally important traffic point linked to Samnam province. And, this place is where the perspective experience of history and culture, which is a unique folk related activities. The site which covers about 96,000㎡is located about 4 km from the cityhall of Chonan city. This basic idea of this plan is to reconstruct the ancient culture and traditional way of life which is rapidly disappearing, to offer the place of education of vernacular culture, to give the recreation place to be a center where city dwellers release and enjoy. Facilities of this park are divided into five groups according to function such as support facilities, folk facilities, play facilities, educational and cultural facilities, and landscape facilities. Design principles are established as follows; to provide the folk park with identity, effectively to admit the folk-related activities, to maintain a functional linkage between facilities. The frame works for final master plan are Landuse plan, Circulation plan, Planting Plan, Facility plan.

      • 西洋造景史를 中心으로 한 造景植物의 配植에 關한 硏究

        The practical uses of trees and shurbs in the planting design in Western countries were discussed in the present study. The roles of trees and shurbs in planting design has been evolved through the years. The trees and shurbs were used as a primarily important food sources, as well as an identy of God in the prehistoric and ancient times. In the Mediaeval times. the trees and shurbs were more practically used as an ornamental plants in an orchard, vegetable gardens and medicinal gardens, etc. It means that plants are considered both economical uses and aesthetic interests. These trends on the plants are more intensified in Rennaissance , as the more effective techniques of planting design were developed through use of individual characteristics of an ornamental trees and shrubs . It is characterized that the group planting of an ornamental trees. not as an individual tree were popularised in English natural landscapes. That is, it is a topic that how planned or managed for natural landscapes in England, while an importance of geographic and ecological growing characteristics in planting design were pursed In Germany. With the advancement of plant breeding techniques. as well as the diverse interests to ornamental trees and shrubs, the planting designs in 19's century were rapidly developed and new trees were used for ornamental purposes. Also the style of planting design were characterized as a rock garden and natural garden, etc to feel the naturality in 20's century.. That is, planting techniques based on ecological characteristics and plantings for spatial functions were pursued and applied to practical uses in the present.

      • 全北大學校 綜合캠퍼스의 造景計劃에 關한 硏究

        The purpose of this landscape planning is to ensure that the physical environment suits the needs of its users, inhabitants in Jeonbuk National Univ. Campus development can be based on this plan and will devote to enrich university life. This proposing landscape planning principles are summerized as follows: 1. Recreational open space, topographical features, area of great beauty and natural forest areas should be preserved for further development. These areas should be combine to form a comprehensive and extensive system of outdoor spaces. 2. New planting should be native, symbolic and functional to the campus environment. For these, in this plan, we are subdivided planting pattern in six sections, such as shading planting (recreational planting), noise control planting, landscape planting, buffer planting and existing forest preservation area. The purpose of campus planting is to make the campus to be harmonized with good dense forests. 3. The circulation system plan is presented in four sections in order to provide each system and to respond to major interrelationships. The four sections are vehicular system, service system, bicycle system, and pedestrian system. 4. To link the First Educational Region and the Second Educational Region which were divided by urban plan, we should introduce overbridges. 5. To satisfy with the multiple campus users, there should be various outdoor facilities. There should be more lawns, groves, pergolas and green strolling streets as an outdoor space for talking, walking, resting and recreation. Also statues, sculptures, rocks, pagodas, towers, pool fountains, and flower beds are the other necessary elements for the open space. All necessary facilities should be a harmonious relationship with the campus environment. 6. It is desirable to make landscape planning in the viewpoints of majority of the campus space users. Planner should consider possible diverse campus activities. 7. To make an unique symbolic campus, we introduced the symbolic monuments such as large tower in front of the university official headquarter, a massive sculpture fountain in the rotary and a statue in front of the medical college. 8. Natural hydloric condition, ground condition, and soil condition are considered to select building location. Swamp areas are exempted as a site to build a massive building. 9. In and around of the planned main entrance, the student center building and the college of agriculture should be developed as the major campus open spaces with diverse outdoor facilities such as high density forests, rock gardens, green strolling streets, lakes, and so on.
