이석린 ( Seok Rin Lee ) 충북대학교 사학회 2010 忠北史學 Vol.24 No.-
From the earliest period, Doan has had good circumstances to live in, but it was unstable with its territory occupied by different nations several times during the Three-Kingdom period. It stabilized in the Koryo period and has grown up to have today`s administrative territory since King Taejong of the Joseon period. In 『Sejong-Sillok, Chiriji』 the scale of this local area had been introduced in detail and we can also know tax relationship or the tribute system in military situation. There are a lot of Seowon and Hyanggyo including Gugye Seowon as the remains that we can understand Sajok`s status at that time, and there are also many Jeongryeo starting with Jeongryeomun given to Cheongsong Sim`s family, and many Hyojagak and Hyoyeolgak. We can see how the local Sajok was through it. Moreover many royal subjects had been produced in this local area taking opportunity the a coup d`etat of military subjects(武臣政變) in 1727 of King Yeongjo of Koryo, and it had affected the status of Sajok. We can look into location process and settlement of surnames residing for generations (世居姓氏) of this local area through surnames which had been entered Samarok and Sama-bangmok. The number of surname of 117 people listed on Cheong-an 『Samarok』 was 24 and the number of family was 38. Through this, we can find that the number of the whole family which had produced entry in Cheong-an is bigger, but the number of the families as Goksan Yeon, Andong Kim, Gwangsan Kim and Jeonju Lee which had produced entry in Doan is bigger. Besides, we can find that the 24 surnames and 38 families produced entry had shown similar figure with the total number of surname, 26 and 30, in the document of late Joseon dynasty. The number of the families produced many entries in 『Sama-bangmok』 is similar and it doesn`t show big difference of entries in 『Samarok』.
