Since the 1990s, the second generation of Zirconium alloys containing main alloy compositions of Nb, Sn and Fe have been used as a replacement of Zircaloy-4 (Zr-Sn-Fe-Cr), a first-generation Zirconium alloy, to meet severe and rigorous reactor operating conditions characterized by high-burn-up, high-power and high-pH operations. In this study, the mechanical properties and creep behaviors of Zr-Sn-Fe-Cr and Zr-Nb-Sn-Fe alloys were investigated in a temperature range of $450{\sim}500^{\circ}C$ and in a stress range of $80{\sim}150\;MPa$. The mechanical testing results indicate that the yield and tensile strengths of the Zr-Nb-Sn-Fe alloy are slightly higher compared to those of Zr-Sn-Fe-Cr. This can be explained by the second phase strengthening of the $\beta$-Nb precipitates. The creep test results indicate that the stress exponent for the steady-state creep rate decreases with the increase in the applied stress. However, the stress exponent of the Zr-Sn-Fe-Cr alloy is lower than that of the Zr-Nb-Sn-Fe alloy in a relatively high stress range, whereas the creep activation energy of the former is slightly higher than that of the latter. This can be explained by the dynamic deformation aging effect caused by the interaction of dislocations with Sn substitutional atoms. A higher Sn content leads to a lower stress exponent value and higher creep activation energy.

한국산 거머리말속(Zostera, Zosteraceae) 중 포기거머리말(Zostera caespitosa Miki)의 생태 및 분류학적 특성을 파악하기 위하여 생육 환경과 형태적인 특징을 분석하였다. 한반도에 자생하는 포기거머리말읜 생물지리학적인 분포는 동해연안의 덕산항과 대변, 황해 연안의 백령도 두무진과 남해 연안의 진해에서 종의 실체가 확인되었다. 포기거머리말의 생육지는 만과 항구로 수심 2.5∼5.2 m의 사질과 사니질의 퇴적환경에서 생육하였다. 본 종은 같은 생육지에 생육하는 거머리말 군집보다 깊은 수심에서 군집을 형성하였다. 외부 형태적인 특징은 황해 연안의 개체가 동해 연안의 개체보다 크게 신장하였으며, 생식지가 출현한 시기 의 수온은 6.0∼13.7℃로 1월부터 4월초까지 개화하였다. 포기거머리말의 생육지의 수심, 퇴적물의 평균입도와 유기물함량은 개체의 형태적인 형질 변이에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. Zostera caespitosa Miki has been identified to be distributed along the seacoasts of Korea and Japan. This study was intended to clarify the morphological characters and the habitat characteristics of Korean Z. caespitosa. It was confirmed that Z. caespitosa is distributed along the seacoasts of South, Yellow and East Seas of South Korea. The habitats were located in the bay and port with the depth varying from 2.5 to 5.2 m. The habitats of Z. caespitosa were rather deeper than that of mixed bed with Z. marina. The sediment in the habitats was composed of well-sorted fine sand or muddy sand. Z. caespitosa showed marked differences in several morphological characters among sites. Morphology of Z. caespitosa varied with water depths, grain size and organic contents of sediments. Flowering shoots occurred by water temperature of 6.0∼13.7℃ from January to early April.

MPEG 과 VCEG 의 공동협력팀인 JCT-VC(Joint Collaboration Team on Video Coding)에서는 H.264/AVC 보다 두 배 이상의 높은 부호화 효율을 목표로 HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) 표준화를 진행하고 있다. HEVC 표준화에서는 압축 효율뿐만 아니라 부호화기의 복잡도도 중요하게 고려되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 HEVC 부호화기의 높은 복잡도를 줄이기 위하여 상위 깊이의 부호화 단위(Coding Unit: CU)의 움직임 정보를 이용하여 현재 부호화하는 예측단위(Prediction Unit: PU)의 참조영상의 후보의 수를 제한하는 고속 부호화 알고리즘을 제안한다. 모의실험을 통하여 제안한 알고리즘은 HM3.0 에 비해 평균 10.8% 정도의 부호화 시간을 감소시키며, 이때 평균 비트율은 0.5%로 부호화 효율의 감소가 미미함을 확인 하였다.

화진포 기수호의 해산식물 거머리말 ( Zostera marina L., Zosteraceae )

This study was conducted to clarify the habitat characteristics and distribution of seagrass, Zostera marina L. (Zosteraceae) in the brackish Hwajinpo Lake, Korea in June 1998 and July 2000. Z. marina beds were distributed along the sea-side cost of the lower lake mouth at 0.8 to 1.5m in depth, and the seagrass bed area was about 3,200 m². Salinity, water temperature and pH were in the range of 8.0 ∼ 23.0‰ , 22.0 ∼ 23.7 ℃ and 8.34∼8.62, respectively. Nutrient concentrations were generally low (TN: 24.34 μM, NH₄N: 2.57 μM, NO₃-N: 0.56 μM, NO₂-N: 0.27 μM, TP: 2.08 μM, PO₄-P: 0.34 μM). Suspended particulate matters (SPM) concentration averaged 62.8 ㎎/ℓ and particulate organic matter (POM) averaged 21.3 ㎎/ℓ. Organic content of SPM averaged 33.9%. The beds substratum was composed of well-sorted, fine sand and its mean grain size was 3.13Ф. The Z. marina vegetation was almost submerged, and the morphological characteristics can be classified as steno-leaf phenotype by the shoot length, leaf width, and number of leaf vein. Shoot length and leaf width were 70.0 126.5 cm and 5 ∼ 7 mm, respectively. Shoot densities ranged from 264 to 296/㎡, and the plants biomass was estimated at 332.6 to 373.0 g dw/㎡. Therefore, the habitats of Z. marina in Korea were recognized in a brackish lake, and morphological characteristics appeared to be variable.

This paper first starts from the concept that momentum generated from COM of robot is an important parameter of keeping the balance of robot, and the robot will not fall down as long as the COM momentum is maintained as zero. However, it is difficult to measure this momentum with sensor in the actual robot where external perturbation is working, and even more difficult to make it into zero. In this study, LIDM oriented from LIPM is suggested. By this model, angular momentum generated in COM actually can be predictive. Additionally, we define that ZMP regions are divided into 3 stages by the strength of external perturbation in order to avoid robot’s fall. Hence, balance recovery region defined in each stage signifies the minimum radius of action for avoiding robot’s fall. This becomes an important criterion of proposing a solution to act upon each stage differently so that the robot may not actually fall down by external perturbation.
