        보문 : 잎새버섯(Grifola frondosa)의 자실체에서 추출한 조다당류의 면역증강 및 항암효과

        80% methanol and 0.9% neutral saline soluble and hot water substances (hereinafter referred to Fr. NaCl, Fr. HW and Fr. MeOH, respectively) were extracted from fruiting bodies of Grifola frondosa. In vitro cytotoxicity tests, crude polysaccharides were not cytotoxic against cancer cell lines such as Sarcoma 180 and RAW 264.7 at the concentration of 10~2000 μg/ml, but crude polysaccharides from Fr. NaCl was slightly toxic to HT-29 and NIH3T3 at the concentration of 2000 μg/ml. Intraperitoneal injection with crude polysaccharides exhibited life prolongation effect of 25.0~52.9% in mice previously inoculated with Sarcoma 180. Fr. HW increased the numbers of spleen cells by 1.3 fold at the concentration of 200 μg/ml compared with control. Fr. NaCl improved the immuno-stimulating activity of B lymphocyte by increasing the alkaline phosphatase activity by 1.5 fold compared with control at the concentration of 200 μg/ml. 10~14 μM of nitric acid were generated when Fr. NaCl was added to RAW 264.7 at the concentration of 50~500 μg/ml, while the control group produced 4.3 μM of nitric oxide. The Fr. NaCl, Fr. HW and Fr. MeOH increased the production of TNF-α, IL-1β, Il-2 and IL-6 by more than 1.4 times compared with the control group. The Fr. of MeOH increased the numbers of peritoneal exudate cells and circulating leukocytes by 3.0 and 2.0 folds compared with the control at the concentration of 50 μg/ml, respectively. Therefore, the crude polysaccharides extracted from fruiting bodies of Grifola frondosa could improve antitumor activity of mice.

        Phytophthora species 의 분자유전학적 분류 및 RAPD fingerprinting 을 이용한 P . infestans - specific 분자마커의 선발

        Taxonomic and genetic analysis of Phytophthora species belonging to six different morphological groups (GI, GII, GIII, GIV, GV, GVI) was conducted using RAPD method. Amplified fragments ranged 0.3∼3.2 kb in their molecular weights. Among total of 145 bands, there were 109 polymorphic bands Seven isolates of P. infestans showed high similarities of 0.92∼0.99, and P. infestans isolate 3 from potato showed similarities of 0.93∼0.95 compared with other P. infestans. Among isolates of P. capsici, similarities of 0.77∼0.86 were observed and they were grouped in 80% level. P. cinnamomi and P. cryptogea isolates which belonging to group GVI showed very similar RAPD fingerprinting pattern. Primers OPA-04, OPA-17, OPA-18, OPA-19, and OPB-12 showed high level of differences among the tested isolates in major bands and molecular weights. The similarity between the isolates was 0.67. P. megasperma and P. sojae in group GV showed similarity of 0.65. These two isolates showed big differences in single major band in reactions with primers OPA-08, OPA-17, and OPA-19. Phytophthora-specific and P. infestans-specific molecular markers were also selected with one of the random primers tested. In reaction with primer OPA-20, all the genus Phytophthora showed common band at 600 bp, and all the P. infestans isolates showed specific band at 680 bp. These markers can be useful far identification of Phytophthora speices or P. infestans. As a result, P. infestans isolated from tomato and/or potato can easily be differentiated from other Phytophthora species with this primer.

      • Virusis Infecting Peppers in The World Their characteristics

        고추에서 發生報告된 바이러스는 40餘種으로서 이중 22種이 잔딧물에 依하여 媒介傳染되며, 6種이 接觸傳染, 5種이 線蟲에 依하여 媒介傳染되며 그外는 곰팡이, 응애, 가루이에 依하여 媒介傳染된다. 고추에서 發生報告된 大部分의 바이러스들은 全世界的으로 分布하고 있다. 그러나 Chilli veinal mottle, pepper sever mosaic, pepper mild mosaic 과 Arizona pepper 바이러스들은 各기 限定地域에서 報告되어 있다. 고추에서의 바이러스病 病徵은 연한 모자이크에서 심한 모자이크, 壤疸혹은 잎 뒤틀림等 多樣하게 나타나고 있다. Forty viruses have been reported to infect pepper. Among these, twenty two are transmitted by aphids, six by contact, five by nematodes, the others by thrips, fungi, leafhoppers, whiteflies and beetles. Most pepper viruses are distributed worldwide for chili veinal mortle virus, pepper severe mosaic virus, pepper mild mosaic virus and Arizona pepper virus have only been reported from certain geographic areas. Viruses infected peppers generally exhibit a variety of symptoms, such as masaic, necrosis and leaf distortion.

      • Control Measures for the Phytophthora Blight in Red Pepper(Capsicum annum Leon.)

        고추?病 傳?抑制효과는 고추 速成栽培, 1 이랑 ??栽培보다 참깨 1이랑 栽培時에 가장 좋았다. 고추?病 ?病株 除去는 ?病發生 초기에 그 효과가 인정되었으나 생육후기까지는 傳?抑制 效果가 없었다. 고추?病發生 初期에 殺菌劑로서 모두랑을 2回 散布함으로서 방제효과가 가장 좋았다. Inhibiiton effect on the incidence of the Phytophthora blight in red pepper (capsicum anuum Reon)was observed in the plots planted with one row of sesami adjacent to the artificial inoculum source. In the plots with one bare row, the diesease progressed rather than that of the plots cultivated red pepper only. Eradicatioin of diseased plants contributed to slow spread Phytophthora blight in earlier incidence time, however, no control effect was satisfactorily obtained until later growing season. It was quite effective that fungicide, modurang was applied for 2 times in the earlier disease incidence time when abundant fungal growth was visible.
