        벤처기업의 제품개발 프로젝트와 제품개발 성과: 비즈니스 모델의 역할 탐색

        R&D projects for product development are crucial for ventures' growth and success. Current study summarizes existing studies that identify the relationship between startup ventures' R&D department, R&D investment, and R&D cooperation on product development performance, and highlights the effects of business model as well as the roles of R&D activities for product development project that have been traditionally emphasized. In order to consider the effects of business models that were not previously available, the effects of these factors on product development performance were comprehensively analyzed. The research results with 180 venture cases surveyed on venture companies in the growth stage in Korea, showed that the effect of product development project activities measured by R&D department, R&D investment and R&D cooperation on product development performance is not evident. However, the effect of business model on product development time and product development performance measured by product innovation was confirmed. In particular, it was found that the clarity and uniqueness of the business model interacted with the R&D investment to shorten the product development time and directly increase the innovativeness of the developed product. Based on these analysis results, the implications of this study, limitations of the study, and the future research directions were described.

        기업가적 지향성의 성과 효과 재검토 : 중소 벤처기업을 대상으로

        기업가적 지향성은 신생기업의 사업 성공을 위해 필수적으로 요구되는 성향이라고 알려져 있다. 기업가적 지향성은 시장기회를 포착하는데 유용하기 때문에 자원이 부족하고 조직 성장을 위한 수단들을 모색하기 쉽지 않은 중소 벤처기업들이 고려할 수 있는 좋은 대안으로 설명되고 있다. 그렇지만 다양한 경영성과를 대상으로 기업가적 지향성의 성과 효과를 심도 있게 비교하고 있는 실증연구들은 제한된다. 이에 본 연구는 기업가적 지향성과 경영성과간의 관계를 파악하는 기존 실증연구들을 검토하여 그 동안 논의가 제한적이었던 두 가지 이슈에 초점을 맞추어 기업가적 지향성의 성과 효과를 재검토하였다. 첫째, 기업가적 지향성의 선형적인 효과뿐만 아니라 비선형적인 효과를 파악함으로써 기업가적 지향성의 성과 효과를 다각도로 검토하였다. 둘째, 기업가적 지향성을 측정하는 방식을 달리 하더라도 분석결과가 일관되게 나타나는 지를 검토하였다. 한국의 1,497개 중소 벤처기업을 대상으로 한 논문의 분석결과, 매출액 증가율과 같은 재무적 성과를 경영성과로 한 기업가적 지향성의 비선형 효과는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타난 반면, 기술개발 및 제품개발 성과와 같은 혁신성과에 대한 기업가적 지향성의 비선형 효과는 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 이와 같은 기업가적 지향성과 경영성과간의 관계 패턴은 기업가적 지향성의 측정 방법을 달리하더라도 유사하게 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과에 근거하여 본 연구의 이론적 함의, 한계 및 미래의 연구 방향에 대해 기술하였다. The concept of entrepreneurial orientation has been recognized as a key driver for success of business ventures. Since small and medium-sized business ventures usually lack in business experience, firm level entrepreneurship seems to play an important role in generating firm performance. Following those logics, traditional approaches assumed that the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance is linear, but recently studies start to report non-linear relationships. However, only a few researches examines and compares the performance effects of entrepreneurial orientation with diverse performance indicators. Current study explores the effects of entrepreneurial orientation both on financial and innovative performance with 1,497 Korean small and medium-sized business ventures. This study finds that there is a linear relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and financial performance, but inverted U-shaped relationships between entrepreneurial orientation and innovative performance, measured by product novelty and patent issued. Also those relationship patterns are consistent with different measurement of entrepreneurial orientation. Based on these results, theoretical implications with some limitations are discussed.

      • 가상현실을 이용한 심리치료 기술 동향과 전망

        Recently, peoples are suffering from various psychological disorders such as addiction, phobia, depression, and bipolar disorder. Moreover, children with ADD/ADHD and autism are increasing. Korean tends to regard the psychological disorders as taboo. Therefore, it is unusual case that the mental patient gets the psychological therapy. Virtual reality has come to the spotlight as a useful tool for the therapy due to its anonymity and easy accessibility. The therapy in the virtual reality is called cyber-therapy. Emotion of the patient is important for the treating process. The objective of this paper is to review the researches on the treatment of psychological disorders using the virtual reality and prospect the affective interaction technology for the cyber-therapy.

        중증 재생불량성 빈혈환자의 구강악안면외과적 관리

        Aplastic anemia is a hematopoietic disorder characterized by marked reduction or absence of erythoid, granulocytic, and megakariocytic cells in the bone marrow with resultant pancytopenia. To control of infection & bleeding secondary to leukopenia and thrombocytopenia, the inflammatory lesions in oral & maxillofacial area should be removed. Material & Method: The extractions were performed on 21 patients with severe aplastic anemia. The initial, pre-operative and postoperative CBCs were checked up. Amount and kind of transfused platelet in each patient and increment of platelet level were recorded. The complications were documented. Result : A mean of 2.9 teeth were extracted from each patient(ranging between 1 and 13). Furthermore, surgical extractions including ostectomy and odontectomy of the third molar were performed on 11 patients. The preoperative WBC levels presented between $600/{\mu}L$ and $5000/{\mu}L$(mean $2376/{\mu}L$). The WBC values decreased by an average of $145/{\mu}L$ per patient after extractions had been performed. The teeth of 16 patients were extracted under 10.0g/dL, and the mean change in postoperative hemoglobin levels in comparison with preoperative hemoglobin levels was -0.06 per patient. The initial platelet levels were between 1000/(L and $81,000/{\mu}L$(mean $20,174/{\mu}L$). In five patients, extractions were performed with platelet levels less than $50,000/{\mu}L$. Conclusion : The results suggest that more active and preventive treatments in the oral and maxillofacial area are possible and are necessary to remove the infectious foci on the patients with severe aplastic anemia. We report the results of our experiences and literature reviews in treatment of the patients with severe aplastic anemia in our department.

        조혈모세포 질환 환자에서의 다발치

        On patients with disorder of hematopoiesis such as leukemia, aplastic anemia, MDS(Myelodisplastic Syndromes), removal of infectious foci prior to the BMT(Bone Marrow Transplantation) is a necessity and what is more, there is no sufficient time to control the infections because the chemotherapy for BMT should be started as soon as possible. And the transfusion should be minimized to prevent the alloimmunization. In those reasons, oral & maxillofacial surgeons are often in need of multiple extractions, and should take into consideration the possibility of complications after multiples extractions such as infection, severe bleeding because those situations can be fatal on patients with disorder of hematopoiesis. We present our experience in multiple extractions on 30 patients with disorder of hematopoiesis referred from Catholic Hematopoiesis Stem Cell transplantation Center at St. Mary's Hospital, The Catholic University of Korea.

        제3대구치 발치 시 epinephrine과 동통이 수축기 혈압과 맥박에 미치는 영향

        The aim of the present study was to evaluate the influences of epinephrine and pain on the changes of blood pressure and pulse rates in mandibular 3rd molar extraction. A total of 80 patients(aged between 10 and 30) without systemically compromised conditions were selected and divided into two groups(I, II). 2% lidocaine with 1:100,000 epinephrine was administered in group I (male 20, female 20), and 2% lidocaine without epinephrine was administered in group II (male 20, female 20). Systolic blood pressure and pulse rates were checked by a digital monitor during the pre-local anesthesia state(stage 1), 5 minute later in the post-local anesthesia state(stage 2), the extraction state(during odontectomy, stage 3), and during the post-suture state(stage 4). The measurement of pain perceived by patients was made using a three-point visual analog scale. The results suggest that local anesthetic with epinephrine is better at decreasing pain preventing the severe elevation of systolic blood pressure than local anesthetic without epinephrine. However, these results should be confirmed by additional studies on cardiac patients.

      • 자폐스펙트럼장애 치료를 위한 인간-로봇 상호작용 기술 분석

        Children with autistic spectrum disorder usually cannot express their own emotional status, which make more difficult to educate and treat them. The affective human-robot interaction technologies can provides a revolutionary paradigm to successfully educate and treat the children with autistic spectrum disorder. This paper presents the state-of-the-art of affective human-robot interaction technologies for diagnosis and therapy of autistic spectrum disorder. Those technologies include emotion sensing technology through bio-sensors, e. g., electroencephalogram (EEG), to detect the emotional status of the children, and affective modeling and simulation technology to provide virtual therapy environment for them. This paper also presents a system framework for diagnosis and therapy of autistic spectrum disorder.

        Simulation Software for Semiconductor Photolithography Equipment

        본 논문은 반도체 포토장비의 이산 이벤트 시뮬레이터인 TrackSim의 개발에 관한 것이다. TrackSim은 포토 장비의 시뮬레이션 엔진과 사용하기 쉬운 사용자 환경을 포함하는 시뮬레이터로, 다양한 프로세스 모듈의 구성 및 운 영 방법을 효율적으로 평가, 검증, 스케쥴링할 수 있는 3차원 시뮬레이션 환경을 제공한다. TrackSim은 반도체 산업 에서 많이 사용되는 이산 사건 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어인 AutoMod를 기반으로 개발되어 시뮬레이션 신뢰성이 보장되 며, AutoMod로 개발된 반도체 제조라인 시뮬레이션 모델 속에 함께 연동하여 사용이 가능하다는 특징이 있다. This paper describes the development of the TrackSim, which is a discrete event simulation tool for photolithography equipment of semiconductor industry. The TrackSim is focused on the accurate simulation model of the photolithography equipment and easy-to-use user interfaces. TrackSim provides 3D simulation environment for evaluating, validating, and scheduling the photolithography process. One of the major characteristics of TrackSim is in that it is developed based on Applied Materials' AutoMod, a discrete event simulation software broadly used in semiconductor industry. Accordingly, the photolithography model of TrackSim can be used to perform simulation connected with other simulation models built with AutoMod.
