This study aims to analyze the theory of multiculturalism, focusing on the German film Angst essen Seele auf. Due to influence of globalization people have consciousness of the world as whole. Thus the constraints of geography on social and cultural arrangements recede. Every country has confronted multicultural phenomena and has had to face up to reality which dissonance and non-uniformity dominate. The single-race nation and the homogeneous nation as the mainstream will maintain their cultural identities and exclude the identity of the minor groups in their communities. Therefore man experiences the collision of cultures and many acts of violence. In the USA as a typical multicultural country, the theory of the “melting pot” has emerged as a solution to the disharmonious society. However the concept of the melting pot has failed because the heterogeneity of the minor groups is not recognized. So the theory of the “salad bowl” is accepted for the multicultural society in which heterogeneous elements are harmoniously mixed. Multicultural community reaches forward to mutual recognition, interdependence, and mutual benefit. The film Angst essen Seele auf gives lesson for the multicultural community. Korea and Germany have already been societies where multi races and cultures are dominant. Now it is the time to change the mind for successful multicultural societies where all diversity is respected and uniformity is avoided.

디지털카메라 대중화에 따른 문화행동 양상 연구

This study aims to examine the advent of the digital camera as a digital device, outline the background to its popularization, define its concept and examine certain aspects of cultural behavior which have arisen from its popularity. The success of the digital camera as a consumer product was assisted by a confluence of technical and socio-economic elements. The new technological environment, influenced by the rapid development and commercial success of personal digital media, was the decisive factor. These new applications benefited from advances in computer and internet technology, and their commercial success boosted further developments in those fields. The digital camera's popularization had several important cultural consequences. It led to a rediscovery by its owners of the possibilities of mass-produced images: unlimited reproduction, free development and dissemination of images. It also transformed hitherto passive consumers into active participants in the underlying processes. The cultural aspects of these developments merit further examination. My examination of the effects on popular behavior produced by the digital camera's popularization will focus on three areas. Firstly, cultural behaviour as producer and consumer; secondly, the transformation from passive to active consumer, and thirdly, enthusiastic personal expression. The digital camera transformed the public's approach as a consumer of photographic images from passive recipient to active, enthusiastic producer and participant. The key factors in this new era of so-called digital-democracy and electronic-democracy, are also important elements in its popularization. 이 논문은 디지털기기로서의 디지털카메라의 등장과 대중화의 배경을 살펴보고, 그 개념을 정의하며, 대중화로 인하여 파생되는 사용자들의 문화행동 양상을 살펴보았다. ‘디지털카메라’ 대중화는 기술적인 요인과 경제적인 요인이 결합하여 양적인 측면의 대중화와 질적인 측면의 대중화라는 양방향으로 진전되어 왔다. 여기에 더하여 컴퓨터와 인터넷 기술이 뒷받침되는 시대적 환경과 개인 미디어의 발달은 대중화에 결정적인 요인이자, 상호 영향을 미친 요소라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 디지털카메라의 대중화의 결과 디지털카메라가 갖는 이미지의 대량생산 가능성, 무한복제와 자유로운 변형 및 유통 등의 가능성은 일상을 재발견하고 수동적 개인을 능동적 주체 내지 참여자로 전환시키는 결과를 낳았으며 그에 따른 여러 가지 특징적인 문화행동 양상을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 필자는 이러한 디지털카메라의 대중화에 따른 대중들의 문화행동 양상의 특성에 대해 결론적으로 첫째, 생산자이자 소비자로서의 문화행동 둘째, 수동적 소비자에서 능동적 참여자로서의 문화행동 셋째, 적극적인 자기표현 행동의 영역으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 디지털카메라는 이미지의 소비자로 머물던 대중을 적극적인 생산자로 변모시켰으며 수동적인 위치에 머물렀던 대중들을 능동적이고 적극적인 참여자로 전환시켰다. 이는 소위 디지털민주주의, 전자민주주의라고 불리는 새로운 시대를 여는 데 단초가 되거나 그 핵심 구성요소로 자리매김하는데 중요한 역할을 하기도 한다.

단행본 표지 일러스트레이션의 개념과 작업 방향 연구-기초 개념 정립 및 실무 작업을 중심으로-

이 논문은 단행본 표지 일러스트레이션이 일러스트레이션과 단행본 표지 디자인의 중요한 요소로서 자리매김되는 과정을 역사적으로 고찰하고, 그 개념을 이해하며, 단행본 표지 일러스트레이션의 특성과 작업을 수행하는 데 있어서 고려해야 할 요소들을 짚어보는 연구이다. 본론에서는 먼저 우리나라 근대 출판의 발전 과정과 책 및 단행본 표지의 기능을 살펴보았고, 그에 따라 단행본 표지 디자인을 할 때의 고려사항을 검토해 보았다. 이어 출판 일러스트레이션의 한 영역으로서 특히 독자성과 작품성이 상대적으로 더욱 중시되는 단행본 표지 일러스트레이션의 개념이 형성되어 온 역사와 역사적인 변천 과정을 고찰해 보았다. 특히 본 논문이 주안으로 삼은 바 단행본 표지 일러스트레이션 작업에서 유의해야 할 지점에 대한 이해를 위하여 단행본 표지 일러스트레이션의 요건을 시각성, 친근성, 예술성의 영역으로 구분하여 고찰하고, 실 작업에서 착안할 점으로 표지 디자인, 인쇄 및 후가공, 컴퓨터 도입 등의 영역으로 구분하여 제시하였다. 단행본 표지 일러스트레이션은 오늘날 독자적인 창작영역으로서의 지위를 획득함과 동시에 컴퓨터 시스템의 도입 등과 맞물리면서 디자인, 편집 영역과 혼성되고 재분화하는 과정을 겪고 있다. 이는 출판이 뉴미디어의 등장에 맞서 위기를 기회로 전환시켜 왔듯이 일러스트레이션 자체로서도 위기이자 새로운 가능성으로 제기되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. This study aims to know that how the book cover illustration got its position as a critical element of illustration and book cover design by historical research. And also tried to understand the concept and characteristic of book cover illustration and reviewed some considerable element of conduct book cover illustration. In the main subject, first we studied the developmental history of Korea's modern publishing and the function of book cover. And checked considerations for conducting book cover design. Next, as a domain of publishing illustration, we studied the history and historical change of concept of book cover illustration whose originality and worth is considered important relatively. Especially, as a main focus of this study, we sorted requisites of book cover illustration by domains of visuality, familiarity, artistry and studied them respectively to understand points important in conducting book cover illustration. And suggested book design, presswork and post-production and Computer system introduction as practical consideration. book cover illustration is ascended as a individual creative domain today. At the same time, as facing events like inducing computer system, it is experiencing processes of being mixed with design and editorial domain and being resorted. It shows that illustration is presented as a crisis and a new opportunity simultaneously like publishing inverted its New media crisis into the chance.

콤팩트디스크 재킷 메인 디자인의 유형 분석

콤팩트디스크는 LP판을 대체하여 음반의 주류로 자리 잡았다. 콤팩트디스크 재킷은 초창기 작은 사이즈로 인하여 디자인적 접근이 어려움에 봉착하였으나 여러 디자이너들의 창조적 접근과 재킷 디자인 기술의 발전, 컴퓨터 그래픽 디자인의 등장 등으로 점차 다양한 디자인이 등장하였다. 패키지 디자인, CD 표면 디자인, 북클릿 디자인 등과 더불어 콤팩트디스크 재킷 디자인의 주요한 요소 중 하나이며 특히 가장 기초적인 디자인 부문인 메인 비주얼 디자인은 몇 가지로 유형화할 수 있다. 직접적으로 이미지를 표현한 디자인, 간접적으로 이미지를 표현한 디자인, 타이포그래피와 일러스트레이션을 이용한 디자인 등이 그것이다. 콤팩트디스크 재킷 디자인은 메인 비주얼 디자인의 이러한 제 유형을 적절히 활용하고 디자인 구성의 여타 요소를 고려하며 다양한 재질과 가공법 등을 활용하여 단순한 이미지 표현에서 한 걸음 더 나아가 내장하는 음악의 분위기와 심미성을 시각화하는 데 기여할 때, 포장재로서의 단순한 기능을 넘어서는 예술적 디자인으로 승화될 수 있을 것이다. Today's Compact discs have replaced vinyl LPs as the mainstream product of recorded music. In the beginning, designers faced difficulties in designing compact disc jackets because of their small size relative to LPs. However, the creative approach of designers, the improvement in jacket design techniques and development of computer graphic design tools combined to improve designs. The main visual motif is one of the most important elements of a compact disc jacket design along with the design of the packaging, face of CD design and booklet design. It is crucial to the overall appearance and visual impact of the product and can take various forms. It may incorporate images expressed directly or indirectly and use typography and illustration. The compact disc design should bring together these various aspects of design, drawing on all the available materials and techniques. Jacket designs should be more that mere image displays of images but should seek to embody visually the essence and aesthetic of the music they represent. When these conditions are successfully met, the compact disc jacket design will transcend its basic function as packaging to enhance and sublimate the artistic message contained in the music.

독일 예술동화에 나타난 시대비판 고찰 - 베히슈타인과 폴크만-레안더를 중심으로

Die vorliegende Untersuchung verfolgt das Ziel, die Kunstmärchen von Bechstein und Volkmann-Leander als politische und zeitkritische Werke zu beleuchten. Ebenso wie Volksmärchen stellen Kunstmärchen das Zeitbild und den Zeitgeist dar, und zeigen letztendlich die Zukunftsvision, auf welche die Zeitgenossen hoffnen. Diese Zukunftsvision ist das Ziel, das die Zeitgenossen als Utopia erreichen wollen. Sie setzt voraus, dass das Zeitbild kritisiert werden soll. In diesem Sinne sind Märchen, wie Novalis sagt, eine notwendige sowie zugleich auch eine prophetische Darstellung. Anders gesagt, ist ein Märchendichter sowohl Zeitkritiker als auch Seher der Zukunft. In den Kunstmärchen von Bechstein und Volkermann-Leander spiegelten sich die Zukunftsvisionen als Zeitkritik vollinhaltlich wider. Beide Autoren hegten großes Interesse an der deutschen Geschichte und Kultur und zeigten durch ihre Märchen ihre Liebe zum Vaterland sowie zu Volk und Heimat. Das Kunstmärchen Der Mann ohne Herz von Bechstein schildert und kritisiert das gespaltene Volk und Territorium von Deutschland. In dem Märchen wurde die Hoffnung auf die Einigkeit des Volkes und die Vertreibung fremder Herrschaften zum Ausdruck gebracht. Das Kunstmärchen Der kleine Vogel von Volkmann-Leander stellt durch den Zwiespalt eines Ehepaares metaphorisch die zeitgenossische Gespaltenheit des deutschen Volkes dar und zeigt den Wunsch nach Einigkeit des Volkes. Schließlich können beide Kunstmärchen als Darstellungen eines zukünftigen Bildes von Deutschland durch eine Zeitkritik betrachtet werden. 낭만주의가 추구하는 동화의 본질을 자신의 동화에 가장 잘 구현한 후대의 동화작가로 루트비히 베히슈타인 Ludwig Bechstein과 폴크만-레안더 Richard von Volkmann-Leander를 거론할 수 있다. 이들은 시대적으로는 낭만주의를 약간 벗어나 있는 인물들이지만, 낭만주의 정신을 가장 잘 체화한 예술동화 작가라고 하겠다. 이 두 작가의 작품은 동화라는 형식을 빌렸지만, 내용상으로 볼 때 어른들을 위한 것이고 동시대의 문제를 고민하고 비판하는 자세를 견지하고 있다. 베히슈타인과 폴크만-레안더의 동화집은 당대 그림 형제의 동화집보다 더 많은 판매부수를 기록할 정도로 인기가 있었지만, 독문학사에서는 잊혀진 작가라고 할 수 있을 정도로 연구가 거의 되어 있지 않고 있다. 특히 국내에서는 베히슈타인의 작품 한 편이 겨우 번역되었을 정도이고, 폴크만-레안더의 경우에는 동화집 한 권의 번역과 연구논문 한 편이 발표되었을 정도로 연구가 미미한 상황이다(두산동아 2001; 서동수 2007; 폴크만-레안더 2006; 현대문학사 2005 참고). 따라서 본고는 국내 독문학계의 동화연구의 지평을 확장하고, 낭만주의에서 추구하는 동화의 본질을 두 작가에게서 찾아보고자 하며, 이를 시대비판이라는 주제를 통해 고찰하고자 한다.

신도시 근린상업용지의 특성에 관한 연구 : 일산, 분당의 단독 및 연립 주택가의 근린상업용지를 중심으로

This study is to investigate the architectural and urban design characteristics of $quot;Neighborhood Commercial Blocks$quot; in newly planned towns, in Korea, and to propose the planning and design guidelines for them. The main purpose of the study is to create a stable and convenient residential environment, by introducing a proper setting far sound purchasing activities in it. Case-study sites at detached-house and row-house areas in Ilsan and Bundang New Towns were selected and surveyed and analyzed in the levels of land-use, block and traffic system, lot sub-division, and building layout and use. Based on the common characteristics and defects of planning arid design implications, found through the analysis, several alternative ways of design were proposed for a future application.

루트비히티크의 작품 『프란츠 슈테른발트의 방랑』에 나타난 낭만적 방랑의 의미 고찰

Ludwig Tiecks Franz Sternbalds Wanderungen ist ein typischer romantischer Roman, in dem sich die Selbstdarstellung des romantischen Ichs ausdru¨ckt. Diese Selbstdarstellung durch die Wanderungen des Protagonisten verdeutlicht den romantischen Geist und dru¨ckt die neuen Werte der Romantik aus. Die Wanderungen von Sternbald spiegelt den Prozeß der inneren Bildung und gleichzeitig die Identita¨tsfindung des romantischen Ichs. Die romantische Bildung soll man nicht durch den Maßstab der Klassik interpretieren. Die innere Bildung von Sternbald hat mit der Sozialisierung des Protagonisten wie in dem Roman Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre nichts zu tun. Wa¨hrend die Bildung von Goethes Meister durch die Harmonie zwischen Gesellschaft und Individuum den o¨ffentlichen Charakter betont, hat die Bildung von Sternbald privaten Charakter. In diesem Sinne unterscheiden sich die beiden Bildungsprozesse deutlich voneinander. Die Bidung von Sternbalds Wanderungen wird nicht durch die Erho¨hung der Technik des Malers, sondern durch die geistigen Reife des remantischen Ichs versta¨rkt. Das romantische Ich in seiner autonomen a¨sthetischen Existenz findet seine Identita¨t in seinem romantischen Leben, in dem sich die geistige Reife entwickelt. Die romantische Wanderung ist der unendliche Weg der inneren Reifung als individuelle Utopie, nach der sich das romantische Ich sehnt.
