The observations of difference and similarity in brain activities involved in processing different languages have fundamental importance in cognitive neuroscience. The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference and similarity in temporal brain activation patterns due to the language difference during visual perception of Korean and English words under priming. Especially, we tried to find the difference in evoked spectral power in gamma-band, which is known to reflect feature binding. The stimulation was visually presented as word pairs belonging to same or different categories so that N400 event-related potential(ERP) was evoked. Average ERP analysis and spectral analysis of gamma-band activity(GBA) were performed on 12 normal Korean subjects. Several ERP components such as P1, N1, N400, and P600 could be identified consistently, and the differences in N1, N400, and P600 were observed. From the spectral analysis, we found that the evoked GBA(eGBA) was significantly larger for English at ${\sim}100$ ms poststimulus. The latency of the eGBA was also considerably delayed for English. Overall, the results on the ERP components and eGBA analyses seem to be commensurate with subjects' familiarity of each language, and the difficulty of perceiving words of each language. The methods of this study can also be applied for clinical purposes considering that the language-related processing can be greatly altered for the patients with neurological or psychiatric diseases.

ITU-T에서는 Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network (B-ISDN) 구축을 위해서 Asynchronous Transfer Mode(ATM)를 권고하였다. 또한, Metropolitan Area Network(MAN)은 B-ISDN으로 발전해 가는 중간 단계로 볼 수 있으며, ATM-based MAN Switching System(ATM-MSS)은 그 예이다. ATM-MSS는 현재의 모든 프로토콜을 모두 수용해야 하며, 점차 B-ISDN으로의 점진적인 진화를 이룰 수 있어야 한다. 이 논문에서는 ATM-MSS의 구조를 보이고 시뮬레이션을 위해서 모델링을 하여 ATM-MSS를 성능평가하여 본다.

"What is the Korean modern art?" This question has been answered that it's a Korean Monochrome Paintings of the 1970s, for a long time without reconsideration. It is supposed to Korean Monochrome Paintings embodied the quality of the Korean cultural identity on the ground of asian beomjayeonjuui(汎自然主義, pannaturalism). We need to, however, return the context of the formation of Korean Monochrome Paintings in the middle of 1970s, so as to investigate that such claims are proper. Because, advocators' theory of Korean Monochrome Paintings covered, and made a false representation of the influence of other theories or positions such as Minimalism, Monoha in Japan, and so on. They, furthermore, neglected the interactivity between the socio-cultural context where they were made and formation of identity model on the Monochrome Paintings. This thesis, thus, aims to examine the art theory and practice of Monochrome Paintings in three points. To begin with, the main purpose of thesis is to reveal the relationship between Monoha including Lee Ufan's art theory and criticism and Monochrome Paintings, in the light of discourse of Toyo and discussions for the purpose of overcoming the modern in Japan. It is, therefore, tried to clarify the isonmorphism of the Monochrome art theory in terms of non-material neutral structure and discourse of the overcoming the modern, especially overcoming the subject/object dualism in modem age, from the postcolonial standpoint. Secondly, this thesis shows a close connection between the national ideology of Pack jeong-hee Restoration system and Monochrome Paintings seemed to be pure, autonomous, nonpolitical. This study, in addition, corrects the miss understandings of minimalism in their theory, for example 'reductional and conceptual' etc., reassesses and repositions of Monochrome Paintings given Korean style minimalism or postminimal abstraction.

A novel AC-DC switching technology is suggested without inductors for one-chip semiconductor. The suggested converter consists of a rectifier diodes, AC source level detector, switching control, detector of over-current and voltage, feedback controller and switching block, The key technology of the proposed AC-DC converting methode is detecting of the low level voltage for AC voltage, power control transistor and rectifying of DC level. The measurement results with commercial devices show that the converter has power efficiency of 66.5% for DC 12V 0.24A and the standby power is 49.58㎽ at AC 110V.
