        A Study on the Hot Cracking Phenomena of Cu-Ni Bearing Hot Rolled Steels

        The hot cracking phenomena and phase behaviors during hot working process of Cu-Ni bearing hot rolled steels were investigated by a $90^{\circ}$bending tests, BSE image analysis and EDS analysis. For aNi-free 1.2% Cu bearing steel, the surface hot cracking occurred about $1100^{\circ}C$ due to a liquid state Cu-enriched phase formed continuously at the interface between oxide scale and matrix. The liquid Cu-enriched phase penetrated into austenite grain boundaries and caused surface cracking during the hot working. In case of 0.6% Ni containing 1.2% Cu-Ni bearing steel, solid state Cu-Ni-riched phase existed at the scale/matrix interface as a discontinuous type. But the higher addition of 1.2% Ni, solid state Ni-Cu-riched phase was formed dominantly in the oxide scale. It was found that the addition of Ni suppressed the surface cracking of 1.2% Cu bearing steel by eliminating the liquid state Cu-enriched phase.

        디스크소스로부터 NAPL의 확산손실에 관한 수학적 모델

        Matrix diffusion from planar fractures was studied mathematically and through physical model experiments. Mathematical models were developed to simulate diffusion from 2D and 3D instantaneous disk sources and a 3 D continuous disk source. The models were based on analytical solutions previously developed by Carslaw and Jaeger (1959). The mathematical simulations indicated that the 2D scenario produces significantly different results from the 3D scenario, the time for mass disappearance is significantly larger for continuous sources than for instantaneous sources, the normalized concentration generally decreased over time for instantaneous sources while it increased over time for continuous sources, diffusion rates decrease significantly over time and space, and the normalized mass loss from the source zone never reaches 1 for continuous sources due to the semi-infinite integral. The simulations also showed that disappearance times increase exponentially with increasing source radii and matrix porosity, and decrease with increasing aqueous-phase NAPL solubilities. 평평한 fractures에서 공극을 가진 모암으로의 NAPL 확산을 수치적인 방법으로 해석하였다. 2D와 3D에 대한 일회 성 디스크 소스와 3D 연속 디스크소스에 대한 모델은 Caralaw and Jaeger(1959)의 이론을 바탕으로 개발하였다. 3D 연속 디스크소스에 대해 공극모암으로 확산되는 NAPL의 총량을 계산할 수 없기 때문에 확산이 반구형으로 이루어 진다고 가정하여 등농도선의 합을 이용하여 공극모암으로 확산되는 NAPL의 총량을 계산하였다. 수치적 계산에 따 르면 2D 대비 3D의 경우에 NAPL 손실 시간이 현저히 빠른 것으로 나타났으며, 디스크 소스의 중심점에서 normalized된 농도는 일회성 디스크 소스는 시간에 따라 감소하고, 연속 디스크 소스는 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 시간과 공간에 따라 확산율은 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 NAPL의 mass 손실은 1에 도달하지 못하였으며, 이 는 연속 디스크 소스를 semi-infinite로 가정하고 적분했기 때문이다. 확산에 의해 사라지는 시간은 소스의 크기 및 모암 공극률 크기 증가에 비례해서 지수함수적으로 증가하고, 반면 NAPL의 용해성이 증가하면 감소하는 것으로 나 타났다.

      • 6082 A1합금의 시효거동

        6082 Al합금의 미세조직 및 기계적 성질에 미치는 시효처리의 영향을 시차주사열분석기, 투과전자현미경 및 미소경도 시험을 통하여 조사하엿다. 170℃, 9시간의 시효열처리에 의해서 118Hv의 최대경도값이 얻어졌으며, 이는 GP zone과 β'상의 석출에 의한 것이었다. 최대경도 이후의 경도 감소는 완만한 감소를 나타내었는데 이러한 결과는 β'에서 β로의 변태속도가 매우 늦다는 것을 의미한다. 이 합금의 석출과정은 GP zone →불안정 hcp Mg₂Si(β') →평형 fcc Mg₂Si(β)이었다. The effect of aging treatment on the microstructures and mechanical properties of 6082 aluminum alloy was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, transmission electron microscopy and microhardness measurement. The maximum hardness(118Hv) was obtained from the specimen aged at 170℃ for 9hrs due to the formation of GP zones and metastable β' phase. In over-aged condition, decrement of hardness showed not so much. This results was attributed to the very slow transformation rate from β' to β phase. It was found that the precipitation sequency was GP zone→metastable hexagonal Mg₂Si(β') →equilibrium fcc Mg₂Si(β).

        Cu첨가형 열연강판의 최적 Cu 및 Mn 첨가량 규명

        Optimum Cu and Mn contents in 0.05wt%C-Cu bearing hot rolled steel sheets were investigated by vickers hardness measurement, tensile test and transmission electron microscopy. It was determined that the optimum Cu and Mn contents were 1.2wt% and 0.75-0.85wt% respectively. It was confirmed by TEM observation that the coarse recipitates were fcc $\varepsilon$-Cu in 0.05%C-1.2%Cu-0.75%Mn-O.O4%Nb steel sheets. The Cu-bearing steel sheets having 780MPa of tensile strength could be fabricated by 10% pre-strain and aging treatment at $550^{\circ}C$ for 30min. 0.05wt%C-Cu첨가열연강판에서 590MPa급을 가지며 10% pre-strain을 가한 후 780MPa급 이상을 가지는 Cu첨가형 열연강판의 최적 Cu 및 Mn첨가량 규명을 위해 경도 및 인장시험과 투과 전자현미경으로 조사하였다. Cu 첨가형 열연강판에서 고용강화와 시효경화를 고려한 적정 Cu 첨가량은 1.2wt% 전후였으며, Mn첨가량은 0.75-0.85wt%범위였다. 0.05%C-1.2%Cu-0.75%Mn-0.04%Nb첨가 강판에서 과시효조건에서 관찰되는 조대한 석출물은 면심입방정 구조인 $\varepsilon$-Cu인 것으로 확인되었으며, 열연상태에서는 590MPa급을 가지며, 10% pre-strain을 부여한 후 $550^{\circ}C$에서 30분 열처리할 경우 780MPa급의 인장강도를 가지는 Cu첨가형 열연강판의 제조가 가능하였다.

      • 저수지 내용적 곡선의 모의발생

        The uses of stage-storage curve function are diverse in irrigation reservoirs. The curve functions would be used to determine the optimal size of spillway length and the inundation area above full water level based on the flood routing in reservoirs. In addition, the curve function would he used to transform the stage to the storage for the reservoir water management, in which the storage is the supply water. Besides those, the curve is necessary for the planning of dredging, the estimation of the effective and the dead storage, the drought management by reservoir, etc. The curve function data, however, are almost unavailable for these purposes. According to the statistics, about 74% of the 2,900 resevoirs which are maintained by Farm Land Improvement Association have no more effective data. Therefore, the simulation of the curve function could be better alternative. The curve functions were simulated derivating the regression equations based on the basin relief ratio and the effective depth. The results of the verification show the enough reliability of the application to generate the curve function in some reservoirs which do not have the surveyed stage-storage data. Also, even though the averaged curve function would be applicated without the basin relief ratio data, the result shows that the simulated curve is closer to the real one than the linear function by only the existing effective storage data.

        6N01 Al 합금의 미세조직 및 기계적 성질에 미치는 시효처리의 영향

        Effect of aging treatment on the microstructures and mechanical properties of 6N01 Aluminium alloy was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry. transmission electron microscopy. microhardness measurement and tensile test. It was found that the precipitation sequence of 6N01 Aluminium alloy was GP zone→metastable hexagonal Mg₂S₁(β˙)→equifibrium fcc-Mg₂S₁(β), and the precipitates at peak aged condition were GP zones and β˙ phase. Microhardness changes during over aged condition showed very small decrease upon increased aging time. This result was attributed to the very slow transformation rate of β˙ to β. Maximum hardness(116 Hv) and tensile strength(312.6㎫) with 22.3% elongation were obtained from the specimen aged at 180℃ for 15hrs.
