        다발골수종 치료제인 Bortezomib과 연관된 마이봄샘기능부전

        목적: 다발골수종 치료제인 bortezomib과 연관된 마이봄샘기능부전 1예에 대하여 보고하고자 한다. 증례요약: 59세 여자 환자가 두 달 전부터 심해진 안구건조증과 세안을 해도 닦이지 않는 눈꺼풀 분비물을 주소로 내원하였다. 환자는5개월 전 다발골수종을 진단받고 bortezomib 치료를 네 차례 받은 상태였다. 세극등현미경검사에서 양안 눈꺼풀에 다수의 마이봄샘개구부 막힘이 관찰되었고, 마이봄샘촬영 영상에서 위눈꺼풀은 1/3 이상 2/3 미만, 아래눈꺼풀은 2/3 이상의 마이봄샘이 폐쇄되어있었다. 온찜질을 포함한 눈꺼풀 위생, 점안항생제와 스테로이드, 인공눈물 사용 후에도 8개월간 증상과 병변은 큰 차이를 보이지않았다. Bortezomib 치료 종료 2개월 후 환자가 안과에 재내원하였을 때, 주관적 증상은 호전되었고, 마이봄샘 개구부 막힘은 모두사라졌다. 양안의 마이봄샘폐쇄 정도는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 결론: 임상의는 bortezomib 치료를 받는 환자에서 마이봄샘기능부전이 발생하거나 악화될 수 있음에 대해 인지하여야 하고, 마이봄샘기능부전의 치료 방침을 수립하거나 환자를 교육할 때 이를 고려해야 할 것으로 생각한다.

        침자 보사에서 자침 자극 강도의 특성

        Objectives : The purpose of this study was to characterize the stimulation intensity in acupuncture manipulation techniques for tonification and sedation therapy. Methods : To describe the level of stimulation used in acupuncture manipulation techniques for tonification and sedation therapy, we reviewed the acupuncture manipulation techniques described in classical medical textbooks. Results : Based on the patients' conditions and pattern identification, acupuncture manipulation strategies for tonification and sedation therapy were chosen. For example, the excess condition was treated with sedative therapy, and the deficiency condition was treated with tonification therapy. For tonification therapy, weak to modest stimulation was applied in acupuncture manipulation techniques, whereas intense stimulation was applied for sedative therapy. Even though the intensity of acupuncture stimulation was chosen based on the clinical examination, deqi sensation is a crucial component of acupuncture treatment, and during acupuncture practice, the practitioner should choose the right intensity of acupuncture stimulation based on deqi response in each patient. Conclusions : We concluded that the tonifying and sedative effects of acupuncture treatment are related to the stimulation intensity of acupuncture manipulation techniques. For individualized medicine, the right amount of acupuncture stimulation should be administered based on the patients' conditions and responses, such as deqi responses.

        서울지역 일사량 및 외기온도와 단결정 실리콘 태양광 모듈온도의 상관성에 대한 실증분석

        This study analyzed photovoltaic module temperature which affects power generation of photovoltaic systems. The influence of irradiance and ambient temperature on the module temperature was confirmed using data measured in Seoul area. The module temperature increased with increasing irradiance and was similar to ambient temperature at night. Also, as a result of regression analysis, it was confirmed that the effect of irradiance on the module temperature was different depending on intervals of solar irradiance. Correlation between irradiance and module temperature was not valid in an irradiance group under 300 W/m2. The effect of irradiance on the module temperature increased between 300–800 W/m2 and decreased over 800 W/m2. This study has potential in prediction models according to intervals of irradiance. It could eventually lead to more accurate prediction of module temperature and solar power generation. 본 연구에서는 태양광 발전 시스템의 발전량에 영향을 미치는 모듈온도에 대한 실증분석을 실시하였다. 일사량, 외기온도 등 서울지역에서 측정한 기상요소와 모듈온도 자료를 이용하여 일사량과 외기온도가 모듈온도에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 실험 및 데이터 분석 결과, 모듈온도는 외기온도와 경향이 동일하고 외기온도를 기본 값으로가졌으며, 일사량의 영향이 더해져서 최종 모듈온도가 정의될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 모듈온도에 대한 일사량의 회귀분석 결과, 일사량 300 W/m2, 800 W/m2을 기준으로 모듈온도와 일사량의 상관성이 없는 구간, 모듈온도에 대한 일사량의 영향력이 증가하는 구간, 감소하는 구간으로 나눌 수 있었다. 이를 토대로 단일 식을 사용하는 기존 모델보다 해당 지역 자료를 이용하여 일사량 구간별 예측 모델을 사용하는 것이 더 적절함을 확인했다. 본 연구는 서울지역의 실측 자료를 이용하였기 때문에 향후 서울지역에 설치될 시스템 설치 환경을 파악할 수 있으며, 일사량 구간에 따른모듈온도 예측모델 제안 가능성을 보여주어 태양광 발전 시스템 설계 및 발전량 예측에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

        Comparison of the acupuncture manipulation properties of traditional East Asian medicine and Western medical acupuncture

        Background Acupuncture treatments frequently use manipulation techniques. The therapeutic advantages of acupuncture differ depending on the acupuncture manipulation. The purpose of this article was to compare manipulation techniques in traditional East Asian medicine (TEAM) and Western medical acupuncture (WMA). Methods Manipulation techniques in TEAM and WMA were compared according to purpose, modulating parameters, and indications. The practical understanding of manipulation in terms of acupuncture stimulation intensity was also explored. The TEAM manipulation techniques of twirling and lifting and thrusting are discussed in terms of the objectives of tonification and sedation. Results The main therapeutic effect of WMA is mediated through activation of the nervous system, which is achieved with adequate intensity of needling. The TEAM tonification and sedation techniques were designed to produce mild or intense stimulation, respectively, to elicit varying degrees of deqi sensation. Conclusions Further research is needed to clarify the differences between the TEAM and WMA practices, and to determine whether different needling manipulations affect treatment outcomes.         경락경혈학회지 연구동향 분석: 주요 키워드 분석을 중심으로

        Objectives : The study’s goal was to look at the research trends of articles published in the Korean Journal of Acupuncture. Methods : The Korean Journal of Acupuncture’s website yielded a total of 882 articles. The VOSviewer application was used to visualize research trends from keywords. Results : A total of 87 keywords were found and visualized based on the average year of publication. The relevant characteristics and trends of basic acupuncture research published in Korean Journal of Acupuncture were determined by a network analysis based on the co-occurrences and publication year of keywords. Acupuncture, acupoint, herbal acupuncture, electroacupuncture, moxibustion, and meridian were the most frequently used keywords. Conclusions : This bibliometric study will give you a broad picture of research trends in Korean Journal of Acupuncture. These data may help to establish a timeline for the advancement of acupuncture basic research.

      • CdSe Nanoplatelets with Controlled Morphology and Their Polarized Emission

        In this study, we controlled the lateral growth of CdSe nanoplatelets (NPLs) by varying the ratio of precursors. The aspect ratio of wide plane was changed from 1 : 4.5 to 1 : 1.2 by precise control. We systematically investigated the factor which can affect the lateral growth of CdSe NPLs and their mechanism. Also, we studied about the property changes caused by morphology control. Normally, the optical properties (absorption, emission, etc.) depend on thickness of NPLs but we found that their polarized emission is affected by morphology. We measured fluorescence anisotropy of CdSe NPLs with different morphology and high aspect ratio showed high anisotropy value. Based on this result, we have been studying correlation between morphology of CdSe NPLs and their polarized emission.

        네 가지 기기를 이용하여 측정한 수평각막윤부직경 비교

        Purpose: To compare the horizontal white-to-white (WTW) diameter measured using four devices. Methods: We measured the horizontal WTW diameter of 52 eyes of 52 patients using the IOL Master 500, ANTERION, OA-2000, and Pentacam HR devices. Repeated-measures analysis of variance was used to compare the measurements. Correlations between the measurements were evaluated using the Pearson correlation test. Agreement between measurements obtained using different instruments was confirmed using a Bland-Altman plot. Results: The mean horizontal WTW diameters obtained using IOL Master 500, ANTERION, OA-2000, and Pentacam HR were 11.65 ± 0.39, 11.52 ± 0.44, 11.51 ± 0.52, and 11.28 ± 0.41 mm, respectively. The horizontal WTW diameters obtained using IOL Master 500 and Pentacam HR were the largest and smallest, respectively. There was a statistically significant difference in mean diameter between IOL Master 500 and ANTERION (p = 0.03), as well as between Pentacam HR and the remaining three devices (all p < 0.001). There were positive correlations between the measurements obtained using the different devices (all r > 0.6, p < 0.001). The 95% limits of agreement between the measurements were 0.808-1.619 mm. Conclusions: There were statistically significant differences in horizontal WTW diameter between IOL Master 500 and ANTERION, and between IOL Master 500 and Pentacam HR, but not between IOL Master 500 and OA-2000. Measurements obtained using IOL Master 500 and the remaining three devices are not interchangeable because of their low level of agreement.

      • Origin of Shape-Dependent Polarized Emission from CdSe Nanoplatelets

        In this study, we report the shape-dependence of linearly polarized emission from colloidal CdSe nanoplatelets (NPLs). We controlled morphology of NPLs by varying the ratio of precursor, acetate hydrate salt, which triggers 2D growth of NPLs. With the same thickenss, lateral aspect ratio of NPLs is controlled from 1.2 to 4.5. From measurement of fluorescence polarization, we revealed that elongated NPLs with higher lateral aspect ratio exhibit strong polarized emission. In order to identify the origin of the shape dependence of optical anisotropy, we measured emission and absorption polarization separately with NPLs aligned by electric field. As a result, only absorption polarization depends on the lateral aspect ratio, while the emission polarization stays nearly unchanged regardless of shape anisotropy of NPLs. Based on the theoretical study, we suggested that anisotropic local field effect is a primary denominator of shape-dependent polarized emission in CdSe NPLs.
