Effect of chicken embryo allantoic fluid on the propagation of NDV in CEF culture was studied. Physico-chemical characteristics of chicken embryo allantoic fluid were also investigated. The experimental results were summarized as following: 1. The propagation of NDV(B₁) in CEF culture was promoted by the supplementation of chicken embryo allantoic fluid to the culture medium. 1) Log10 TCID50 0.1ml of NDV(B₁) propagated in embryonated egg was 9.0±1.0 in the CEAF supplemented group and 1.3±0.3 in the control group. 2) Log₂ HA titers of NDV(B₁) propagated in CEF cultures were 7.5±0.5(released and cell-bound virus), 4.0±1.0(released virus) and 8.0±1.0(cell-bound virus) in the CEAF supplemented group. But those of control groups were 4.5±0.5, 0.0, and 4.5±0.5 respectively. 3) Log10 EID50 /0.1ml of NDV(B₁) propagted in CEF culture was 9.3 in the CEAF supplemented group and 3.8 in the control group. 2. Chicken embryo allantoic fluids harvested from 10, 11, or 12-day-old embryonated eggs were suitable for the propagation of NBV(B₁) in CEF culture. 3. The amount of chicken embryo allantoic tluid suitable for the propagation of NDV(B₁) in CEF culture was 5~10%.

Physico-chemical properties of normal and treated chicken embryo allantoic fluid (CEAF) which promotes the growth of NDV(B₁) in chicken embryo fibroblast monolayer were studied and the experimental results were summarized as following: 1. Normal values of CEAF harvested from 10 to 13-day-old embryos were: 1) Maximum absorption wave length in spectrophotometry: Three peaks of 210nm, 238nm and 293nm. 2) Total protein content: 1.24±0.2 to 4.15±0.03 mg/ml. 3) Osmolarity: 210±1.0 to 243±2.0 mOsm/kg H₂O. 4) pH: 8.2 to 8.5. 2. Stabilities of normal CEAF harvested from 10 to 13-day-old embryos after the treatments were: 1) Heating: Stable at 70℃ for 20 minutes heating. Unstable at 80℃ for 20 minutes heating. 2) Acid or alkaline treatment: Stable at pH 8.0 but not at pH 5.0 or 10.0. 3) Trypsin treatment: Stable in 0.01% 10 minutes treatment. Unstable in 0.05% 20 minutes treatment or 0.1% 10 minutes treatment. 4) Ether treatment: Unstable by 3-time-extraction. 3. SDS-PAGE patterns of normal and treated CEAF harvested from 10 to 13-day-old embryos were: 1) Normal CEAF: 4 bands (MW 17T, 33T, 68T and 84T). 2) Heated (80℃ 30 min.) CEAF: Same as the normal CEAF. 3) Acid (pH 4.0) treated CEAF: Same as the normal CEAF. 4) Ether (3-time-extraction) treated CEAF: Same as the normal CEAF. 5) Trypsin (0.1% 10 min.) treated CEAF: 2 bands (MW 17T and 48T). 4. The values of normal and treated CEAF of 14-day-old embryos, which showed no or less NDV growth promoting activity, were different from those of 10 to 13-day-old embryo CEAF. In general, 14-day-old embryo CEAF contained an increased protein contents which may interfere the virus growth promoting activity of CEAF.

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) 제조 공정에서 배출되는 폐유기용제에서 Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether Acetate (PGMEA)를 회수하여 재활용할 목적으로 다단계 증류탑을 이용하여 실험실적 규모의 증류 실험을 수행하여 최적 환류비를 결정하고자 하였다 최종실험결과, 시료 A의 경우 PGMEA는 98% 이상, 수분 함량은 0.05% 이하이며, 시료 B의 경우 Reflux ratio를 6으로 한 경우 PGMEA 95% 이상, 수분 함량은 0.01% 이하이다(시료 A, B에 대한 내용은 Table 1에 명시함.). 이 값은 LCD 제조에 재활용할 수 있는 일반 수준인 90%보다 높은 수지로서 적용이 가능하다. This study was performed to recycle Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether Acetate (PGMEA) from Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) industry emission as a waste organic solvent by using a multistage distillation column and tried to decide optimum reflux ratio. From the final experiment result, it was confirmed; in case the sample A, the PGMEA purity is more than 98% and the moisture is less than 0.05%, on the other hand, in case the sample B, the PGMEA purity is more than 95% when the reflux ratio is 6 and the moisture is less than 001% (Refer to Table 1 for the contents of sample A and B). These values means fine level which can be adapted in the LCD manufacture, requiring more than 90% common purity of recycling level.

This study is on teachers`` recognition & issues of 2009 elementary English curriculum since it was applied during the first semester of 2014 school year. The study surveyed the applied problems of 2009 elementary English curriculum, understanding of grade band, correspondence of grade band and elementary education, recognition of the increasing or decreasing the number of class hours, the difficulties of the increasing or decreasing the number of class hours, recognition of leveled classes, the developmental method of expressive skills to the teachers. To manage the 2009 elementary English curriculum in elementary school successfully, we need to prepare both hardware-management and software-management. For these managements, there will be considered to accomplish management of subject-classrooms, usages of grade band textbooks, class organization based on the grade band, effective increasing or decreasing the number of class hours and agreement of school management for leveled classes based on individual difference. For more effective and successful results, both experimental schools are needed to perform the curriculum.
요추추간판탈출증에 대한 일반침 치료와 간접구 병행치료의 임상적 효과비교

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical effect of indirect moxibustion treatment for HIVD patients. Methods : From March 2010 to December 2010, 32 HIVD patients who admitted to Semyung oriental medical hospital were divided into two groups. Group I was treated by indirect moxibustion and general acupuncture, group II by general acupuncture. We evaluated the treatment effect of each group with the visual analog scale(VAS) and Oswestry disability index(ODI) by dividing three period(from admission day to third day after admission, from third day to sixth day after admission and from sixth day to ninth day after admission). Results : 1. Group I was more effective than group II in VAS score reducing rate at sixth day after admission and ninth day after admission but there was no statistical significance between two groups at third day after admission 2. Group I was more effective than group II in VAS improvement rate from third day to sixth day after admission but there was no statistical significance between two groups from admission day to third day after admission and sixth day to ninth day after admission. 3. Group I was more effective than group II in ODI score reducing rate at sixth day after admission and ninth day after admission but there was no statistical significance between two groups at third day after admission. 4. In ODI improvement rate group I was higher than group II, but there was no statistical significance. Conclusions : Through this research, Indirect moxibustion treatment is considered to be effective reducing pain for HIVD(Herniated intervertebral disc) patients.
Porcine Circovirus Infection in Weaned Pigs with Postweaning Multisystemic Wasting Syndrome in Korea

Eight nursery to grower pigs exhibiting weight loss and sudden death were diagnosed as postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) based on the results of gross findings, histopathology, immunohistochemistry, fluorescent antibody test, virus isolation, PCR, serology, and electron microscopy. Groosly, the pigs had a rough hair coats and were severely emaciated. And moot lymph nodes were pale and enlarged. Lungs were not fully collapsed and exhibited 10 to 40% pale red cranioventral consolidation. Histopathologically, typical lymphohistiocytic interstitial to bronchointerstitial pneumonia, chronic lymphadenitis, severe lymphoid depletion, and basophilic intracytoplasmic inclusions were noted in the most lymphoid tissues. Porcine circovirus panicles were observed in the inguinal lymph node of the pigs by electron microscopy. Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) antigens or viral DNAs were detected in the lesions of all pigs using immunohistochemistry or PCR. Two PCV2 were isolated from a homogenate of pooled lung and lymph node in 2 of the 5 pigs. Additionally, antigens of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) and Hemophilus (H.) parasuis were also detected by immunofluorescent antibody test. Serologically, 55% of randomly selected sows and fattening pigs was serum antibody positive to PCV2 by an indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA) test and approximately 18 % of animals in the herd were serologically pooitive by the ELISA kit for PRRSV. To our knowledge, this is the first report of PMWS co-infected with PCV-2, PRRS, and H. parasuis in Korea.
