디지털 포렌식 기법을 적용한 전자기록물 관리기술 고도화 연구

디지털 방식으로 생산·저장되는 기록들이 급증함에 따라 이러한 디지털 기록들을 수집·보존·관리하는데 있어 신뢰성 및 무결성을 유지하고 이를 통해 법적 증거로써의 가치를 보장하는 것이 중요한 이슈가 되었다. 본 논문에서는 국내 형사 소송법 및 기록관리 법령을 토대로 현재 국가기록원에서 관리하고 있는 전자기록물의 사법적 증거능력에 대해 고찰하고 이에 대한 문제점을 도출하였다. 또한 본 논문에서 도출된 문제점을 해결하기 위해 디지털 포렌식(Digital Forensics) 절차 적용 및 해시값 활용 방안을 제시한다. Recently, according with a sudden increase of records produced and stored by digital way, it becomes more important to maintain reliability and authenticity and to ensure legal effect when digital records are collected, preserved and managed. On the basis of domestic legal procedure law and record management-related legislation, this paper considered judicial admissibility of evidence on electronic records managed by National Archives of Korea and drew potential problems when these are submitted to court as a evidence. Also, this paper suggested a plan applying digital forensics technique to electronic records management to ensure admissibility of evidence about electronic records stored in National Archives of Korea.

제어시스템 보안을 위한 whitelist 기반 이상징후 탐지 기법

최근 제어시스템을 대상으로 한 사이버공격이 점차 고도화·지능화됨에 따라 기존 시그니처(signature) 기반 탐지기법은 한계에 봉착하였고, 이에 제어시스템 환경에 적합한 화이트리스트(whitelist) 기반 보안 기법이 새롭게 주목받고 있다. 그러나 최근 개발되고 있는 화이트리스트 기법들은 어플리케이션 레벨에서 한정적으로 사용되고 있으며, 무엇보다 블랙리스트(blacklist) 기반 보안 기법과 달리 이상 징후 유형에 대한 구체적 정보 제공이 불가능하다는 단점이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 제어시스템에서 발생할 수 있는 이상 징후 유형들을 분류하고, 네트워크 레벨에서의 화이트리스트를 통해 이상 징후를 탐지할 수 있는 모델을 제시한다. Recent cyber attacks targeting control systems are getting sophisticated and intelligent notoriously. As the existing signature based detection techniques faced with their limitations, a whitelist model with security techniques is getting attention again. However, techniques that are being developed in a whitelist model used at the application level narrowly and cannot provide specific information about anomalism of various cases. In this paper, we classify abnormal cases that can occur in control systems of enterprises and propose a new whitelist model for detecting abnormal cases.

기록보관소 전자기록물의 증거능력 확립을 위한 디지털 포렌식 적용 연구

이 연구에서는 전자기록물의 일반적인 특징과 법적 증거능력에 대해서 조사하고 이를 통해 국가기록원을 비롯한 기록보존소에서 관리하는 전자기록들의 증거능력에 대해 고찰하였다. 또한 디지털 증거를 수집·분석하여 법정에 제출하기 위한 분야인 디지털 포렌식(Digital Forensics)에서의 절차 및 기술을 통해 전자기록관리 프로세스에서 전자기록의 증거능력을 확보하기 위한 기초적인 방안을 제시한다.

IEC 61850 변전소 네트워크에서의 이상 징후 탐지 연구

본 논문에서는 IEC 61850 기반 자동화 변전소 네트워크에서의 이상 징후 탐지를 위한 MMS/GOOSE 패킷 정상행위 프로파일링 방법을 제안한다. 기존에 주로 사용되고 있는 시그니처(signature) 기반의 보안 솔루션은 제로데이(zero-day) 취약점을 이용한 APT 공격에 취약에 취약할 수밖에 없다. 최근 제어시스템 환경에서의 이상 탐지(anomaly detection) 연구가 이뤄지고 있지만, 아직까지 IEC 61850 변전소 환경에서의 이상 탐지에 대한 연구는 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 제안하는 기법은 MMS/GOOSE 패킷에 대한 3가지 전처리(3-phase preprocessing) 방법과 one-class SVM 알고리즘을 이용한 정상 행위 모델링 방법을 포함한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 방법은 IEC61850 변전소 네트워크에 대한 APT 공격 대응 솔루션으로 활용될 것을 기대한다. This paper proposes normal behavior profiling methods for anomaly detection in IEC 61850 based substation network. Signature based security solutions, currently used primarily, are inadequate for APT attack using zero-day vulnerabilities. Recently, some researches about anomaly detection in control network are ongoing. However, there are no published result for IEC 61850 substation network. Our proposed methods includes 3-phase preprocessing for MMS/GOOSE packets and normal behavior profiling using one-class SVM algorithm. These approaches are beneficial to detect APT attacks on IEC 61850 substation network.

최근 스마트폰 사용량이 급증함에 따라 사용자의 편의, 재미를 위한 수많은 애플리케이션이 출시되었으며 일상생활에서부터 비즈니스목적까지 다양한 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 스마트폰 애플리케이션은 필연적으로 내장메모리에 데이터를 저장하게 되는데, 그 데이터로는 대화기록, 개인정보, 유료구매 데이터 등이 있을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트폰 애플리케이션의 데이터 저장 및 로드 방식을 분석하여 어느 정도 데이터 보호가 되고 있는지, 데이터를 수정함에 따라 발생하는 문제는 무엇인지 등을 분 석한 결과를 보일 것이다.

디지털 포렌식 기반의 전자기록물 이관 절차 및 도구 개발에 관한 연구

디지털 형태로 생성되고 저장 및 관리되어지는 전자기록물은 디지털 데이터의 특성에 의해 데이터의 변조와 같은 보안 위협을 수반하고 있다. 따라서 전자기록물을 취급함에 있어 무결성과 진본성의 검증을 통한 신뢰성 보장은 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 기존 디지털 포렌식 절차의 분석을 바탕으로 디지털 포렌식 기반의 전자기록물 이관 절차를 제안하고, 기존 전자기록물 관리 도구의 분석을 통해 디지털 포렌식 기반의 전자기록물 이관 도구를 개발하기위한 요구사항을 도출했다. 이를 기반으로 전자기록물의 이관 과정에서 전자기록물의 무결성과 진본성을 보장하기 위한 디지털 포렌식 기반의 전자기록물 이관 도구를 개발했다. Digital Records, which are created, stored, and managed in digital form, contains security vulnerability such as data modification, due to the characteristic of digital data. Therefore it is necessary to guarantee the reliability by verification of integrity and authenticity when managing digital records. This paper propose digital forensics based migration process for electronic records by analyzing legacy digital forensics process, and derives the requirements to develop digital forensics based electronic records migration tool through analyzing trends of abroad digital records migration technique and tool. Based on these develop digital forensic based digital records migration tool to guarantee integrity and authenticity of digital records.
