In this study, ceramics in ?? system were fabricated with the variation of sintering time and temperature. The hardness, the fracture toughness and the structural properties with respect to the variation of the grain size were investigated for the purpose of micropositioner applications. From this, the grain size increased and the density decreased as the sintering temperature and time increased. As the grain size increased from 1.71 to 3.42(㎛), the hardness gradually decreased and the fracture toughness had the almost constant value, about 109(MPa).
