Triangular-shaped mixing elements have been placed in the micromixer to improve the mixing. While the mixing elements improve the efficiency of the mixing, they increase the pressure drop. Hence, the micropump may fail to drive the fluids through the micromixer. In this study, a micro genetic algorithm is used to find an optimum design variables of the passive micromixer with triangular-shaped mixing elements and a weighted approach method is employed to investigate the multi-objective function problem. We have also found the pareto optimal solutions between the mixing efficiency and the pressure drop.

Centrifugal chillers are very famous in large scale air conditioning and refrigeration applications for its high efficiency, large capacity and robustness. It is not surprising to see a single centrifugal machine handling above 8㎿ of cooling load and nowadays industrial chiller plants or district cooling plants usually has 100㎿-200㎿ of capacity. With this huge capacity and global rise of electrical rates, a good efficiency of chiller becomes more and more critical. Hence, many companies were concerned about 2-stage centrifugal chiller having higher efficiency than 1-stage centrifugal chillers. In this study, we investigate the performance of a 2-stage centrifugal compressor with the refrigerant R-134a. The characteristics of each aerodynamic part - 1st and 2nd impeller, 1st and 2nd vaneless diffuser, return channel - are evaluated by studying local flow fields using Fluent. The results of Head and efficiency, slip factor etc. are compared with 1D design results using COMPAL. As a result, we show a similar tendency with results of COM PAL.
한국산 무우로부터의 isoperoxidase 에 관한 연구

An anionic isoperoxidase, named A₂, was isolated from Korean-radish (Raphanus Sativas L.) root. Purification of the enzyme was accomplished by using CM-Sephadex chromatography, DEAE-Sephacel chromatography and Sephadex G-100 gel filtration. The enzyme was glycosylated and its molecular weight was approximately 43,000 as determined by SDS-PAGE and 43,700 by Sephadex G-150 gel filtration. Isoperoxidase A₂ was a hemoprotein that had RZ value (A_(439)/A_(275)) of 1.5. The Km values for guaiacol and H₂O₂ were 6.7 and 1.38 mM, respectively. The Km value against o-dianisidine was 0.63 mM. Optimal pHs and Km values were also determined for various phenolic compounds such as scopoletin, caffeic acid, esculetin, chlorogenic acid and ferulic acid.

Optimal pHs and Km values were also determined for various phenolic compounds such as scopoletin, caffeic acid, esculetin, chlorogenic acid and ferulic acid. 한국산 무우로부터 anionic isoperoxidase인 isoperoxidase $A_2$를 $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ saturation, CM-Sephadex chromatography, DBAE-Sephacel chromatography, Sephadex G-100 gel filtration 등을 이용하여 정제하였다. 정제된 효소의 분자량은 SDS-PAGE와 Sephadex G-150 gel filtration에 의해 각각 43,000과 43,700으로 판명되었다. 정제된 isoperoxidase $A_2$는 guaiacol을 기질로 사용하였을 경우 Km값이 6.7mM이었으며 $H_2O_2$에 대하여는 1.38mM로 나타났고 optimum pH는 5.0이었다. 여러 phenolic compound의 효소에 대한 기질가능성을 조사한 결과, scopoletin, caffeic acid, esculetin, chlorogenic acid, ferulic acid 등이 기질로 사용되었고 Km값은 각각 0.17mM, 1.43mM, 5.5mM, 1.5mM, 0.67mM이었으며 o-dianisidine의 Km값은 0.63mM이었다. 정제한 $A_2$는 glycoprotein이었으며, RZ value가 1.5인 hemoprotein으로 추측된다.

급격한 도시화로 주변에 자연이 없어지는 요즘 간접적으로나마 자연을 느끼기 위해 가상공간에서 동식물을 키우며 가꾸는 콘텐츠들이 증가하고 있다. 엘로우가든은 현실에서 식물을 접하고 기르기 어려운 현대인들에게 실제공간과 가상공간의 연계를 통해 가드닝 활동을 제안하는 뉴미디어 콘텐츠다. 옐로우가든은 활동을 제안하는 뉴미디어 콘텐츠다. 옐로우가든은 실제공간과 가상공간의 연계를 통해 사용자의 경험을 창출하고 동시에 사용자에게 의미있는 경험을 제공하기 위한 전시시스템이다. 본 시스템을 통해 사용자들은 혼자 혹은 여럿이 자신의 신체를 활용하여 경험을 하게 되고 감성적이고 동시에 교육적인 경험도 가져가게 된다. In the midst of sudden urbanization, nature is disappearing. In order to feel the nature indirectly, growing animals and plants in virtual space are increasing. The Yellow Garden is a new media content that suggests gardening activities by linking real space and virtual space for the modern people who are hard to reach plants in reality. Yellow garden is a display system that creates a user experience real space and virtual space, and at the same time provides a meaningful experience to users. Users can experience by using their own body. By combining alone or together with others it also brings educational experience as well as emotional experience.
