We report a study of Zn(S)Se/GaAs heterojunction solar cells grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). Zn(S)Se/GaAs heterostructures prepared under different conditions were characterized in-situ by reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED). Structural and electrical properties were investigated with double crystal X-ray diffraction and current-voltage characteristics, respectively. The fabricated n-ZnS<SUB>0.07</SUB>Se<SUB>0.93</SUB>/p-GaAs solar cell (SC #2) exhibited open circuit voltage(V<SUB>∝</SUB>) of 0.37 V, short circuit current(I<SUB>sc</SUB> of 1.7×10?² ㎃, fill factor of 0.62 and conversion efficiency of 7.8 % under 38.5 ㎽/㎠ illumination.

In this paper, a speed controller using a controller is implemented and applied to a DC motor for FA (Factory Automation). The objective of this paper treats the analytical and experimental studies on the improvement of control circuit and control method using a SCR-LEONARD circuit for the speed control of DC motor. This system is concerned with stabilization of single input or single output systems, so the plant (SCR-LEONARD+DC motor) is simplified to the first order system. The parameters for the PID controller are obtained by the transient-response tunning method, and this control scheme has a backward-shift operator. The control algorithms (Chopper+transient response tunning) is used to check the performance of PID Controller through Computer simulations and experiments. The good experiment results show that the direct control of the DC motor applied to industrial field such as factory automation.

This paper presents a design method for a filter application in a parts-of FA(Factory Automation). Normal equations for ripple voltage and current are derived in terms of dimensionless quantities, and these equations can be used directly to evaluate the values of LC-filter components, taking into consideration the effect of the ripple components on the rms value of the PWM-generated ripple components. Using describing function technique, design equations of the filter are derived. The data needed for the filter evaluation are the amplitude of current ripple and the frequency of square pulses delivered by the HE(Harmonic Elimination) inverter algorithm. Experimental results show that the design of the filter can be based on the method proposed and that the filter can provide a significant reduction of ripple components.

In power transistor switching circuit have shunt snubber(dv/dt limiting capacitor) and series snubber (di/dt limiting inductor). The shunt snubber is used to reduce the turn-off switching loss and the series snubber is used to reduce the turn-on switching loss. Design procedures are derived for selecting the capacitance, inductor and resistance to limit the peak voltage and current values The action of snubber is analyzed and applied to the design for safety PWM inverter.
