Relative Sunspot Number Observed from 2002 to 2011 at ButterStar Observatory

The ButterStar Observatory at the Dongducheon High School has been working for photographic observations of the Sun since October 16, 2002. In this study, we observed the Sun at the ButterStar observatory for 3,364 days from October 16, 2002 to December 31, 2011, and analyzed the photographic sunspot data obtained in 1,965 days. The correction factor Kb for the entire observing period is 0.9519, which is calculated using the linear least square method to the relationship between the daily sunspot number, RB, and the daily international relative sunspot number, Ri. The yearly correction factor calculated for each year varies slightly from year to year and shows a trend to change along the solar cycle. The correction factor is larger during the solar maxima and smaller during the solar minima in general. This implies that the discrepancy between a relative sunspot number, R, and the daily international relative sunspot number, Ri, can be reduced by using a yearly correction factor. From 2002 to 2008 in solar cycle 23, 35.4% and 64.6% of sunspot groups and 35.1% and 64.9% of isolated sunspots in average occurred in the northern hemisphere and in the southern hemisphere, respectively, and from 2008 to 2011 in solar cycle 24, 61.3% and 38.7% of sunspot groups and 65.0% and 35.0% of isolated sunspots were observed, respectively. This result shows that the occurrence frequency for each type of sunspot group changes along the solar cycle development, which can be interpreted as the emerging and decaying process of sunspot groups is different depending on the phase of solar cycle. Therefore, it is considered that a following study would contribute to the efforts to understand the dependence of the dynamo mechanism on the phase of solar cycle.

Hepatic metastasis of early gastric cancer (EGC) following subtotal gastrectomy with lymphadenectomy is rare. We report the case of a 61-year-old male patient who was diagnosed with EGC that was initially treated using endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and subsequently underwent laparoscopic subtotal gastrectomy. Histopathological examination of the patient’s ESD specimen showed a moderately differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma invading the submucosa without lymphatic invasion. The deep margin of the specimen was positive for adenocarcinoma, and he subsequently underwent laparoscopic distal gastrectomy. The patient developed liver metastasis 15 months after the operation and then underwent liver resection. Histology of the resected specimen confirmed the diagnosis of two foci of metastatic adenocarcinoma originating from stomach cancer. Immunohistochemical analysis of the specimen demonstrated overexpression of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2. The patient was treated with trastuzumab in combination with chemotherapy consisting of capecitabine and cisplatin. Twenty-four months after the operation, the patient remained free of recurrence.

To elucidate the structure of procyanidin in Korean led pine(Pinus densiflora S. et Z.), bark, the extractives were extracted with acetone-water mixture(7 : 3. v/v) from inner bark of Korean red pine. The extracts separated three fractions which were extracted by liquid-liquid extraction. The extracting solvents were chloroform and ethyl acetate and water. The part of ethylacetate soluble was chromatographed by liquid chromatography. The ethylacetate soluble portion yielded four natural procyanidin dimers, two known epicatechin-(4β→6)-catechin, catechin-(4α→8)-catechin and two unknown catechin-(4β→6)-catechin and conformational isomer of epicatechin-(4α→6)-catechin. The additional catechins was also isolated. The structures of these procyanidins were elucidated by their ^(13)C-NMR spectra.

This research is based on real-time service model that uses lock screen of smart devices which is mostly exposed to device users. The potential for lock screen space is immense due to their exposing time for user. The effect can be maximized by offering useful information contents on lock screen. This service model offers real-time keyword with abridged sentence. They match real-time keyword with news by using text matching algorithm and extracts kernel sentence from news to provide short sentence to user. News from the lock screen to match real-time query sentence, and then only to the original core of the ability to move a user evaluation was conducted after adding. The report provided a key statement users feel the lack of original Not if you go to an average of 5.71%. Most algorithms allow only real-time zoom key sentence extracted keywords can accurately determine the reason for that was confirmed.
Variable Structure PWM Controller for Highly Efficient PV Inverters

In general, the output voltage level of a PV array varies widely at various irradiances and temperatures. The MPP (Maximum Power Point) range of a medium- or high-power PV PCS is normally 450~830Vdc or 300~600Vdc. This means the PV PCS should operate in a wide range of modulation indexes. The PV PCS should satisfy the harmonic current requirement that the TDD (Total demand distortion) shall not exceed 5%. This paper proposes a new PWM control method for a medium- or high-power PV PCS which increases the efficiency of power conversion in all operation ranges with acceptable harmonic ripple currents. This paper compares and analyzes appropriate PWM schemes for the PV PCS in the view points of conversion efficiency and current harmonics.
